Having a glass outside in the patio area

This is one of our fave smaller and quaint tasting rooms! Family owned and they are so sweet. We have been here twice and each encounter has been pleasant and fun. Today we had a glass of the Tre Sorelle and it was fresh and crisp. Definitely recommend checking this place out that's not too crowded, great wine and allows a chance to strike up a conversation with the owners. Very personable!

I came here for wine tasting with my boyfriend on a Sunday afternoon, no reservation was needed and we just walked in and they were able to help us! The atmosphere is very relaxed here and perfect for a relaxing date activity. There was indoor bar standing room available as well as outdoor seating. We tried the $20 wine tasting flight of 5 wines and all wines were very tasty. We bought a bottle which waived one tasting fee. They also had a Cabernet Sauvignon library wine tasting available, so we tried that as well and that too was tasty! Overall, it's a very welcoming place and would recommend visiting at least once! Parking was easy and available in a small parking lot in front of the ranch.

Absolutely stunning wedding and venue , now let's talk about the wine !! I'm not a big fan of wine I usually get headaches from it but my husband insisted I try the Albariño wine , oh I bet he regrets that decision !! Yes thank you very much I'll take a case home , I love it !! It's not too sweet with a subtle dry and grape flavor. If you're looking for a venue for a wedding look no further this place is gorgeous with outstanding customer service.

What a great little spot off Hwy 101. The original Swiss-Italian family settled here and bought the land in the early 1900's as a dairy farm. It now serves as a tasting room for the wine they make. Such sweet and personable people with a great story to tell. Worth the stop as they also sell some charcuterie plates to have with your wine. Cheers win!!!

Amazing wine, great service and very friendly owners. They ran out of charcuterie plates but yet came up with options for our four hungry kids . Our favorite wines were Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Great spot !

Very peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of outdoor space and it's all covered by a tarp, so it's not too dusty and there is lots of shade. We were helped by Julie, who was extremely nice and told us about the property and its history. She was very welcoming and didn't make us feel rushed. Easy parking and very reasonably priced. I would definitely return and highly recommend for a lazy relaxed afternoon!

My sister likes it, but I didn't do the wine tasting on site because I was DD. I just sat there writing this review, enjoying the pleasant decor. Yes, there are places to sit, hooray! If you're wine tasting, you're doing so at nicely polished wooden counter. And if you have low alcohol tolerance like SOME people, you can drink lots of water and eat the crackers.

Ask the Community - Filipponi Ranch

How much is the wine tasting here? Any dessert or ports? Trying to find some places around SLO. Thanks.

Their remodeled family home makes a unique tasting room that is visible from Hwy 101 south but it is quiet inside and so worth the short drive down Calle Joaquin.

Love how this space is dog friendly with beautiful hilly views, friendly staff, and $20 tastings…read more We arrived here mid Friday afternoon and chose our own seats at a nice patio area with shading. No reservations, walk-in. We chose the tasting for two and got started enjoying our wine with beautiful views of the rolling hills. The host was very attentive and gave us our next tasting with perfect timing spaced between. We enjoyed the variety of wines we tasted and the friendly staff. There's one restroom on site located near the main entrance. They also had a nice water fountain to keep you hydrated during the tasting. Lastly, we love how this was dog friendly! We brought our little fur baby for the tasting outdoor. Would recommend this spot next time to dog owners!

The winery itself kind of looks like a house and has a bunch of tables out front. There was no music when we went but the vibe was amazing. It's a bit windy and the sun hits hard here so be prepared with sun screen. The wine was very good, some were sweet and others were a bit more oaky. The grapes they used in some of the wines were from the vines right next to us. Oscar and Clint were very helpful and provided a lot of insight on the area. We went to a couple of their recommendations in town and they did not miss. This vineyard is a solid place if you want to sip on some good wine with a view. Bottom line/TLDR: friendly vineyard with amazing views.
