Came here with a group. Amazing outdoor seating and views and wonderful service. Only giving it 3 stars because a tasting is $45 and you can make it free if you buy 2 bottles (but the price of a bottle is around $70.)

Would highly recommend Tolosa Winery in SLO! We came here on our last night to have the classic local SLO wine tasting experience. After considering options that were farther like Paso Robles, I'm so glad we chose Tolosa. Driving up the road to the winery was so beautiful! It was its own paradise with a perfect view of the planes coming into the airport as well. We chose the patio which had a great view and also had heating lamps since it was chilly around 4pm. We split a signature tasting which included 5 pours of local wines - mostly reds. Our server was fantastic and he was super knowledgeable about the wines. It was cool to learn about the different fermenting processes. The wines were great but I'd probably pass on the charcuterie board next time ($30). It came in a plastic container which wasn't that pleasant. I'd definitely return for the wines and views!

Absolutely gorgeous in where the venue is located. The server in the tasting room is sucha sweetheart: she's also a cal poly grad! My friend and I tried the signature flight and all were delicious, but our fav is the first pour of the pinot. It was so good that we took a bottle home. I can't wait to try this with my family. The plants and view of the mountains in the front and patio while we enjoyed our wines was beautiful. What a great place to decompress from work.

Delicious but fairly expensive wines. Service was OK though I did go on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation. Jeff was great, and the property is gorgeous. The Stone Lion Pinot was fantastic!

My family & I came here for wine tasting. We were immediately greeted with one free wine tasting as we were taken to our table (a nice touch ). We did the $45 wine tasting option & the wines were incredible. They're known for their Pinots. Kim was our server & she was so kind & even gave us some other winery recommendations. The weather was perfect & the staff was so kind to move the umbrellas as the sun started to move around. I would definitely come back!

    Gorgeous views of Edna Valley!

This was mine and my husband's 3rd visit to Tolosa and the first time bringing our kids. This was a birthday celebration weekend for me and what a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours drinking delicious wine at Tolosa! We sat in the Primera room and had excellent service! We had lovely views looking out through the windows while we enjoyed a yummy charcuterie board and of course drinking superb wine! After our tasting, we decided on taking a glass to enjoy outside and take a few family photos. Thank you Tolosa for making my birthday celebration so special! Cheers!

Smiles in our faces , we met some very nice people

Ask the Community - Tolosa Winery

Does anyone know what type of cheese is in the charcuterie platter ? I love it and forgot what it's called lol

    Are reservations required?

Hi Maddie, Reservations are not required. However, we recommend making a reservation on weekends and Holidays.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

    Hello Lisa, Yes,…

    Are they dog friendly?

Yep! Dogs are allowed on the patio. And if the patio happens to be closed for a private event (quite rare), they’ll let you bring your pup into the tasting room.

No reservations, walk-in. We chose the tasting for two and got started enjoying our wine with beautiful views of the rolling hills. The host was very attentive and gave us our next tasting with perfect timing spaced between. We enjoyed the variety of wines we tasted and the friendly staff. There's one restroom on site located near the main entrance. They also had a nice water fountain to keep you hydrated during the tasting. Lastly, we love how this was dog friendly! The winery itself kind of looks like a house and has a bunch of tables out front. There was no music when we went but the vibe was amazing. It's a bit windy and the sun hits hard here so be prepared with sun screen. The wine was very good, some were sweet and others were a bit more oaky. The grapes they used in some of the wines were from the vines right next to us. Oscar and Clint were very helpful and provided a lot of insight on the area. We went to a couple of their recommendations in town and they did not miss. This vineyard is a solid place if you want to sip on some good wine with a view. Bottom line/TLDR: friendly vineyard with amazing views.

Our group have easily visited 250+ wineries and many of those we visited several times. We easily qualify as experts in the area of wine tasting. Based on our visit to Biddle Ranch as well as reviews I read the venue does not put an emphasis on hospitality. Our server (not educator) was nice but she seems to not care. Not care about selling wine, promoting or educating us about their wine and frankly or likes or dislikes. This behavior was repeated with other customers she was serving that day. If we are having a great time we reciprocate with numerous wine purchases and a generous tip. We only purchased the minimum to wave our tasting fees and could only justify the very minimum of gratuity. I truly hope management reads this post and invests time in better training their employees. We are in the area often and would love to have a spot to sip some wine before dinner. Based on this visit, I don't think so!

The Filipponi ranch hosts the production annually and it's an amazing experience and wonderful property. The stage is a little ways from the tasting room but set nicely in a valley between some hills and a nice shade covering of oak trees.
