I answered, "No." I thought this was a bizarre question, but okay. He then explained the store's layout, calling specific and significant attention to their surveillance camera monitoring system. It was apparently essential that I knew I was on camera. Is this how all customers are greeted? Surely it has nothing to do with me being a black man shopping for antiques by myself on a Saturday afternoon. I spent a few minutes walking around and checking out their merchandise. Antiques and collectibles are subjective, but overall I'd say their collection was pretty basic. Fuck this place.
