Just a few minor things. I personally did not feel like the cashier in the front of store was welcoming. Sure they helped someone who asked about their restroom, but I don't know that they ever greeted anyone who came in. I'm very sensitive to this when I'm shopping, because a warm greeting can mean a lot to unfamiliar tourists. I also felt like the clothes, to me, were on the expensive side. The price of $25 felt right for some shirts/blouses, but not for others, but it was a default price nonetheless. Replica band/concert tees were priced equally high, and some of them were beat up while not being vintage. Other items, I just felt like I could find at the thrift and get a better deal. I thrift a lot from many, many different venues, so I know this for sure. While I understand the beauty of a vintage store is that someone else did the shopping for you, the markup felt like a lot at times. Most of the stores I go to in Philly have a variance of price points. Besides that, it was a cool store. It was like walking into the past, which was fun.

After having a not-so-great experience from the other vintage stores in the area, it was good to end on a good note and browse the lovely pieces here. They were all so character-filled and colorful and I can tell the store was carefully curated. Ultimately three of us purchased items, and we just enjoyed chatting with the shop owner and getting her opinion on the pieces. Finally when we exhausted all efforts, they referred me to Anna on Union near Coryelle and I looked all over that area and gave up - ducking into the 5 & 10 and guess who was there?! Bohemian and kind Anna who couldn't help either - lost interest when it was apparent I wouldn't order something at a high price to be resized. The. i walked across the river using the bridge of course and wandered j to a more touristy store. You guileless shop clerk with no interest to upsell me or zeal to get me to buy something casually pointed me to an area of rings and wished me cheery good luck! Bingo! I bought a bushel of reasonably priced rings and couldn't be more relieved at completing my silly pointless quest. I've been frequenting both towns as a patron for decades and i'm surprised how I always associate kindly persistence to sell me items at the cost of my getting what I want versus just laid back helpfulness with no agenda. Ah but none of it matters. I'm lucky to be earning a living and having the time and funds to squander on such efforts. Back into the gym.

I need to dress professional, yet trendy, and feel good in the clothing I wear. I'm a huge fan of quality over quantity, so I have certain brands that I love...but don't put a huge DENT in my wallet...or more like hole in my purse hahaha. Greene Street to the rescue my lady friends! Sorry, gentleman. This is a girls only club. ;) Perhaps you can shop for your wife, girl friend, sister, daughter, etc., though :) Clothing selection is fantastic. I've gotten several skirts and tops and dresses here. Brands such as Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor the Loft, Lord and Taylor, J-Crew, Banana Republic, etc. Prices are unbeatable. I've gotten tops from 10 to 12 dollars and skirts from 10 to 20... all which you would find in the Loft for hmm 60 to 80 dollars. The price difference is unbelievable. The thing about consignment shops is DO NOT let the fact that this is used clothing prevent you from browsing. Most of the clothes look like they have never been worn. I get the feeling that many people purchase items, don't like them, never wear them, and in return off to the consignment shop to resell.... and in return people like me get them at great prices and look all fancy! tee hee! They have dressing rooms in the back. Nice and roomy. No one is pressuring you to hurry it up, so to speak. All unwanted items are placed neatly on the wrack outside... I never walk into a dressing room with clothes piled all over the floor. Dresses, skirts, tops, pants, are all organized in each isle, by size. Don't miss the clearance wrack!!!! Shoes and purses are also sold here! HUGE shoe selection... I haven't browsed it yet... next time! My only reason for 4, not 5 stars, is two things. One, the store is a bit small. It is located in downtown Lambertville, so the space isn't something that you can really blame Greene Street for. Also, if you are a larger person, it will be hard to find your size or anything at all. Most of the clothing range from XS to L, but even the large seems to be a medium. My mom isn't a very big woman but she has never found anything here. You really need to hunt for the larger sizes if they exist. Luckily, I'm short and I wear sizes from extra small, to small, and from 2-4. I'd say, if you are a size 0 to 8, you will definitely find some nice clothing here. The owners/staff are friendly, but not overwhelming friendly. That's also a meh. I have a favorite consignment shop closer to where I live and the owners are just fantastic. Don't get me wrong, the staff here is friendly. They just aren't warm and fuzzy. Overall, though, for a shopper such as myself, you can't beat the price for the quality of clothing. They earn 4 stars because that meet my needs and my wardrobe from this store is growing and LASTS! Quality. I've gotten so many compliments on skirts and stops from this place, too. Very bad service, terrible attitude... Yesterday I visited…read morethe Lambertville store with four friends, some of us have done consignment before. I carried several bags, including two garment bags filled with clothing items on hangers. Incredibly, from the very first, I was shut down by the clerk at the counter. As I'm literally beginning to speak, she interrupts: "We don't take items with hangers". I was so confused: hangers are removable, are they not?? It seemed obvious that I wasn't looking to sell the *hangers*, the clothing was simply being carried on them, as people who take care of their clothes, dry clean them usually do. Long lecture about hangers follows. .Turns out, she wants me to remove the hangers before even looking at the items! What?? Finally, somehow, she concedes that she will take a look. Lucky me. **Before I even open the bag**, she snaps "we do NOT take formal clothing". She had no idea what was in there. She snaps "NO" at every item, apparently very pleased with herself. I didn't even bother with the second garment bag, there were some business suits (not formal wear) but clearly this stuff wasn't going to fly. Behind the counter I see some accessories, so I venture that I also have some purses. In fact I was carrying never used, designer label purses in their original boxes, also a Missoni scarf in the original box *with the price tag still attached*. She never sees any of it. "You have to have ten items to start a contract here" before she has any idea how many items there are. Apparently I was going to be disqualified no matter what. I gave up and we all left. Absolutely ridiculous. I have never been treated so rudely in any store. Every business has policies, no problem with that. I understood very well going in that the items might not be acceptable, might not be what the store needs. That's fine too: that's the whole game with consignment, choosing items that will sell in a given market. My only expectation was to have someone look over/ discuss the items and to be treated politely. Apparently too much to ask. Neither I nor my friends will ever come back. We will be sure to tell our friends to avoid your store as well. Five women who shop. Alot. Seems like an awful lot of terrible word of mouth simply for the pleasure of being nasty. However, the woman providing coverage was not warm, nor did we particularly feel welcome. As my friend tried on a coat and noted a button was missing, the employee advised finding a button elsewhere in cities nearby, then said "you're from Philly, right?" Which she is not. I wonder why she would assume that? Not to mention we were never greeted even walking in. It wasn't until I broke the ice by speaking to her that she began offering a little assistance. Then, as we admired pieces, she kept mentioning the more modern clothing in the affiliated store behind her. Well, we clearly came here to check out some vintage looks. It felt a little forceful rather than helpful, and I'm not quite sure why. I am a seasoned vintage shopper and left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth for this place. My friend who was quite interested in the coat didn't even really want to buy it after all the awkwardness. It just wasn't a pleasant experience.
