Unethical business. Sold a system in 2021 under their entire guidance and testing of our water. We had failures under warranty, and in 2025 October I had another technician out - he sated bluntly "you should never have been sold this unit, it was always going to fail in a few years". I have attempted to get some level of support to make this right, at best a few hundred dollars off what is nearly a $1,500 investment now to fix a system that under their own staff, I should not have been sold. Their service manage was incredibly rude and condescending to me - blaming us for choosing this system despite it being one of 2 suggested to us - and the billing person being worse, now threatening to send a $97.50 charge for the service call (which I had never been levied before, nor informed of in advance to have consented to) to collections and being very combative on a call where I simply tried to find a positive resolution. I recently purchased a home with their system in it. So I called them to have them come and just make sure the system was working and to put salt in it. The short version of the story is... the lady showed up and didn't even bring any salt AT ALL came in and took the cover off the salt bin, and took the cover off the timer and pulled a piece if paper out and told me "it's going to be $2600.00 to replace the system." She couldn't give me a single reason why the system needed to be replaced). Because there was absolutely nothing wrong with my system. It literally just needed salt). I asked her multiple times why I needed an entire new system, and IF something was wrong how did she know bc she hadn't looked at anything at ALL.. she had no answer. Buyer beware!! Wolverine Water Treatment in Burton DOES NOT honor their 10 year warranty. Our softener, iron filtration system and ro system was purchased five years ago. We bought what we thought( according to our service and sales persons) was the best system possible. It was a major investment for us!! In May of this year we noticed rust in our sinks and called for a maintenance check. Conclusion....we needed a whole new system!!! Our system is suddenly substandard for our hard water!! We were floored!! Tried to work with the technician to resolve this he never called back. Even called the owner who said he would come out himself and make things right....last heard from them.. in June with no show no call back. ( It's now August). All we can do now is leave a bad review and move on to another contractor. We hate giving bad reviews but left no other choice. Buyer beware!! read more

Our current water treatment system was over 20 years old and not removing rust like it should. The water was also had a rotten egg smell. Wolverine came out. Looked at the iron filter & told us it was no longer working & was too old to be repaired. Because they installed our old system, we had them install our new system, even though the quote seemed pricey. They installed it either the same or next day (I can't recall). The rust is gone & the water no longer smells bad so I am happy about that. I do feel like we probably paid too much, but didn't have any other quotes to compare their price with. Had we not done business with them in the past & felt so desperate about our current water situation, receiving additional estimates would have been the prudent thing to do. Did we pay too much? ‍ Maybe. The system is in. It was done in short order, and, at this time I'm very happy with my water quality. read more

We were having an issue with our waters oftener and iron filter, we have just moved in so I called wolverine who had installed both units prior to our owning the home. We asked if someone could come out and see if the units needed maintenance. Jason came out look at both units and said they should be replaced at a cost of $6000. I called some else and it was a frozen discharge line. He found the problem in 5 min and had it fixed it 20. I would not trust Wolverine water treatment at all. read more

I requested multiple tests to be done on my well water for my new construction home. The tests are only supposed to take a few days. When I didn't hear back, I called several times to get the results. 2 and a half weeks later I FINALLY received results, but only for one of the tests I requested (which I again had to ask several times for them to be emailed to me because they mis-typed my email address) and when I inquired about the rest of the tests, was told that some of the tests can take up to a week to get back. Really? It's been 2 and a half weeks! Turns out they apparently mishandled the samples and had to come back to get more water samples and I was told that the one test that was actually done was the one that took a week and the others take less than a day and mine will be expedited and I will get the results the following morning. 2 days later (today) after hearing nothing, I called to inquire. Waiting for them to get back to me. I had just a simple water testing request which has somehow become a big, complicated mess. Clearly not a well-run business, terrible customer service. read more

I I purchase a Wolverine Water System about 8 months ago I had a new bathtub new toilet new sink and my biggest complaint was the rust in the water I told them if you can't fix it I need to sell this house I don't have the money to put into it the guy you came out assured me his wife had the same problem blah blah blah he guaranteed me they could take care of it so I paid the three grand for their sulfur odor rust remover thing the old Maxx well they probably come out five to seven times now in from day one at my tub is ruined my toilet is ruined my sink is ruined in my hair is still Orange I just called them out because there was a puddle underneath this sealed huge metal tub that they put in there and there was water coming out of it so they replaced it but my issue is I still have orange hair and all of my tub and toilet are ruined they keep telling me now that it's my pipes are bad in my house it's my hot water tank it's my holding tank well I had my pipes replace it expense I couldn't afford I had my holding tank cleaned out by a professional I have drained my hot water tank numerous times nothing is making it better so I paid all that money on a promise that they said they could take care of it they never said I'd have to replace my pipes my hot water tank my holding tank they were more than happy to take my money but they haven't fixed my problem read more
