This company gives you everything you would want from a service company. I made a quote request online for help with our water quality on a well system. They called me and set up an appointment to review our systems. To be honest, I thought we wouldn't be able to afford fixing out stinky sulfur water. Surprisingly, they got it done at a price we could make work. They gave us quotes for a new water softener, a well pressure tank, and a electrical anode rod. Turns out, our current pressure tank didn't have a safety valve, so we chose to replace that and the anode rod. I really like the modern system they use for sending quotes online where you can select the services you want. Finally, we had a technician come out to do the repair. He was on time, professional, and did excellent work. Best thing ever, we no longer have stinky water!!!! We have been trying to figure this out for 2 years, had called multiple places that had no solutions, and Advance finally made it happen. Thank you!!! read more

I chose this company because they were recommended by Mitchell Building Company and because they service many homes in our subdivision. Based on that reputation, I expected quality installation and customer service. We purchased both a water softener and a Dr. Rust system because we were told our well water had a very high iron content. The entire purpose of the Dr. Rust system was to prevent iron staining on our brand-new white siding, stone, driveway, sidewalks, and other exterior surfaces from our irrigation system. A few months after the installation, we discovered rust staining on the exterior of our home. When a technician came out to inspect the system, he found that two wires had never been connected during installation, meaning the Dr. Rust system had not been operating since the day it was installed. I then spoke with the manager, expecting the company to take responsibility for the installation error and discuss restoring our home's exterior. Instead, I was told that we should have contacted them sooner, even though the system had never been functioning because of the installation issue. The only solution offered was to send me a bottle of rust remover. I understand that problems can happen with any installation. What disappointed me most was not that a mistake occurred, but how it was handled afterward. I expected the company to stand behind its work and help restore our property to the condition it would have been in had the system been installed correctly. On December 2nd 2022 I purchased four bags of water softner salt , paid with a check and done. However, thru an ad in the Marketeer, Advanced ran an ad for buy four bags of salt and get one free. No one told me about it when I was there, long story short, they would not honor that ad. My check wasn't good enough I had to have a receit! Also, their system check for $45.00 is a bait and switch because they charge $1.50 per minute while they are there. Read the fine print CAREFULLY!!!! This business has gone to the dogs. I live in a tiny house on the chain of lakes and I have always struggled with extremely rusty and hard water. I had been nursing an old system along for many years and was trying to avoid installing a new softener. Unfortunately, I waited too long and the old system crapped out completely. NOT TO WORRY!!!!! Brad walked me through the costs to put a band aide on it and also suggested a new system. I went with the new system and could not be more impressed! Owner Brad, with Advanced Water Treatment was once my go to. Now his business and workers have gone to complete garbage and lost the big picture on taking care of his customers. Falsifying quotes, very poor installation, pushing updates, manipulating current equipment to be pressured into buying newer. Got a quote on a fiberglass tank but during install they installed a metal one which was cheaper in price but was not changed or stated in final billing. Installer pushed on a new softener as well that didn't need to be replaced. Installer didn't connect our main feeds to the softener correctly so when it went through its re-gen at 3am it sprayed water inside my utility closet until 630, when I awoke to a water spraying sound. Also didn't connect the discharge hoses in the drain tube and was left laying outside softener to discharge on ground. Called and sent a video of the water soaking my drywall in the utility closet and Brad said he was in his way. (630am) 3pm Brad finally shows up and fixes leaking problem, but now my softener miraculous doesn't work anymore. He left a dehumidifier saying he'll be back in 5 days to pick up and replace soaked disintegrating drywall and add rpf board (August 29). Now it's the end of November and still no Brad and have mold in my utility closet. DONT DO BUISNESS WITH ADVANCED WATER TREATMENT!!!!! read more

I called Advanced Water Treatment because I just moved in to a new house with a water softener and reverse osmosis system. I have never had either system so I called for a delivery of salt and asked them to change my filters. They were prompt in scheduling an appointment for the same week. Brent was my service technician. He was great. He was very thorough and patient in explaining the entire system to me and how it operated. I have lived in the Hamburg area for many years and have been very pleased with their service, up until recently. My husband used to pick up salt at the Hamburg location almost weekly. We understand that the main location is in South Lyon now. As small business owners we completely understand growing pains, etc. However, the attitude my husband and I have both received from the man and the woman there when we have called has been inexcusable. When I bought my house, it came with a reverse osmosis system I knew nothing about. They came out the day I first talked to them and were right on time. I never felt pressured in any way, Brad explained everything to me, told me what filters and upkeep I needed, and told me how much they would be if I got them through Advanced.
