Our son and his friend started with the club when they were 14 and Chris helped them develop good values, inspired them to develop good study skills, helped them to visualize a successful future, and last but not least, taught them strong volleyball skills and strong team values. We have seen our son's skills and self esteem develop beyond our wildest dreams through our son's involvement with Chris and his team. Spectrum Volleyball Club is far more than a sport - boys develop into wonderful young men by being a part of Chris Harger's team.

I know all parent think there children should play more. But our son was a good player; he was good enough to be on the team. In reality I think he was just good enough for Chris to cash our check. My son did not go back this year to play. There were a few other players on the team that hardly ever played. One boy was really tall and an asset to our team, but he hardly ever played. That player was going out of state to play volleyball; after the season he figure he wasn't good enough to play so changed his college plans and isn't playing volleyball. Our son will continue to play high school volleyball. We were fortunate that his high school coach was so positive. One boy Chris sought out and told the boy he needed him on the team, his parents told me that Chris showed up at one of his games to asked him to play, emailed and called to try and get him back on the team. He hardly ever played the boy, he was sad. He was crushed. This boy was a good player, I saw him in the paper and he made First Team All CIF. So he wasn't a bad player. I hope that boy didn't quit, he was crushed. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. To add insult to injury, he email us with a flyer attached asking us to recommend him to other people. Instead I wrote this review. Hopefully it was save some boys son heartach and some parent some money.

With 2 children in the Locals program, Reef VBC provides a supportive and highly professional environment where kids can gain and further their volleyball skills. I have seen my children's skills exponentially increase through the instruction and guidance provided at Reef. The team culture they create is positive and encouraging, and allows the children to learn to love the game without the pressure of intense coaching at this beginner level. Highly recommend.

We made the mistake of going with Reef for my oldest daughter and vowed not to return because of the coaching favorites and politicking. Unfortunately we went back years later which was even a bigger mistake. My wife was team Mom and we were told by Coach Greg Harasymowycz that it's known in the local volleyball community that you must "kiss the ring" of owner Brock Redmond or the club will hold it against your child. Boy was Coach Greg right. Other issues such as coaches partying all night in Orlando and then barely being be able to coach the next morning was common place. In fact the last day of the Orlando tournament Coach Greg Harasymowycz claimed that he had a a migraine and could barely function on the sideline. We found out that he as well as all the other coaches were at local bar until close. Next time I will go with a club that prioritizes my kids development on and off the court especially for the big money they charge.

We frequent new parks and I hate when I can't find any updated photos for them so that's how I started my instagram @thatabcsquad to share. And now I'd like to contribute to Yelp as well. I have been eyeing this park for a while now and finally got the catch to venture up north! It's so beautiful and clean and very well thought out. - shaded parking structure - very clean restrooms - lots of grassy space - picnic tables that are fully covered (able to reserve) - baseball field - basketball courts - tennis/pickleball courts - bigger and smaller playground - ant hill to climb and slide - butterfly climbing structure - (pro/con) - wood chips What more could you ask for? Only downside would be the playground itself isn't very shaded so on hot days, it'll be rough! Highly recommend to check out if you're in the area! . Also very close to many shopping plazas! And the janss marketplace mall!

There's a lot of space for them to ride their scooters; the playground itself is big and beautiful with multiple slides and great flower theming. The best part, though, is the ant hill that they build into the park. My kids love it because it is a literal hill that you use cardboard boxes to slide down. This was the highlight for them, and they spent most of their time just sliding down and having a blast with cardboard boxes. I live in North Hollywood, so this was a drive, but it was worth it so that my kids could have a blast, which they did. This park is at the top of our list!
