The woman at the front desk, curly hair in a pony tail who wears glasses is the most rude and incompetent person I've ever met in life. This is my second child, so I'm aware of certain timelines when it comes to scans and this woman told me that it was OK to get my NT scan done after 13 weeks (which it's not.) She told me the doctor OK'd it (Johnson) and that there was nothing she could do appointment wise. Of course during the scan, the tech could not get an accurate read and then proceeded to blame me for scheduling my appointment late. Thankfully in all this, I had already gotten my NIPT so I felt a sense of relief. I want to say for those women who maybe can't afford a NIPT and are solely relying on your NT scan, I would run from this office. The incompetence and lack of accountability from their staff can result in serious life changing consequences. This would have been my case if I did not get my NIPT. Additionally some woman in the waiting room was telling me about her story with one of the doctors and told me that a life threatening issue happened during her c section and that she was running from this place. The only reason she was there was because she needed to pick up her records cause they refused to give them to her any other way than picking them up. I of course don't know if this is true but she overheard me talking to my husband when I was freaking out about the timing of the exam, and tried to calm me down because she felt the same way about the office. In my opinion, the amount of malpractice cases they are hiding is probably astronomical. I will never return and this is my advice to you all considering this place, think twice, do your research. read more

I've been to Women's Care in all different locations for about 4/5 years now. I got nervous reading these reviews because it really throws off your experience when staff is rude. However, it seems they have addressed the feedback and everyone was really friendly to me when I went (March 2024), including reception. They deserve to have a higher rating! Dr. Johnson was caring and knowledgeable. Overall this is a good office I'd recommend it Also - I was called back promptly at the time of my appointment. Nothing felt rushed. Before at other offices when I'm asked the date of my last menstrual cycle and say I have it in my phone and go to pull it up the nurse rushes you by saying "Nevermind just give me a closest guess". This office might as well just be a walk-in clinic. There is a sign above the receptionist's desk that says "If you have waited more than 15 minutes past your appointment time, please let us know", but reception doesn't know what to do when you actually let them know this is the case. I have been coming to this office for almost 3 years and have never been seen within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Today, I waited 45 minutes for someone to come hand me a glucose drink (for a 1-hr glucose tolerance test) so I could then wait the additional hour. Why not just give me the drink upon arrival? That makes too much sense and demands far too much organization. Their reasoning for the delay was being understaffed. I.e., instead of acknowledging that their scheduling team needs to adjust to the alleged lack of staffing, the patients have to suffer and waste their time waiting for appointment times they cannot honor. The front-of-house staff at this office needs to get it together. read more

Many lessons were learned by experiencing their service. First, they scheduled me to come for an ultrasound and for a doctor's visit on two separate days so I needed to pay twice for my co-pay. Second, I was scheduled with a pre-conception consulting after my miscarriage without my awareness of the visiting purpose (I thought it was for a post-miscarriage check-up) and my insurance of course refused to cover that "chatting session", which was 10 minutes long and offered almost no benefits at all. I called the billing line and they told me that they were not supposed to tell me the visiting purpose and it was the patient's responsibility to be aware of the benefits from the visit when making an appointment as well as the insurance coverage. Third, the patient portal kept showing my old bill without any date on it, which confused me and led to my triplicate payment. I called them to fix it and the lady from the customer service line did not help at all as she seemed not fully understanding how the system worked. read more

Front office staff treat you like you came in to sell them magazine subscriptions or fake Rolexes. Nurses and doctors are nice but the phone system is a nightmare guaranteed to raise your blood pressure. There's no choice for general questions or anyone to direct your call, so I always have to go through billing or scheduling. Example: The nurse left me a vm asking me to call back but gave the extension so fast I just had to keep trying to guess different combos. After ten minutes of this joy I hit it, but the mailbox was full and the system hung up on me. So frustrating. Although they are nice, the nurses and doctors seem to be in such a hurry, rushed and complaining about paperwork not getting done. So thumbs up personally to doctors and nurses, and maybe they need to take a harder look at general office management and revamp the phone system so it's easier to reach someone other than billing and scheduling. read more

I have been coming here about 3 years and have generally been given good service. However this past visit was not good- the exam was fine, but their front desk associates are indifferent to the point of rudeness. I filled out my paperwork as requested, had my exam, asked for my co pay and was told they'd bill my insurance. Then I received a Bill for a ridiculous amount ( 3 times what an average well woman exam costs) when I called the office to inquire, I was informed my visit wasn't covered. Ok- i inquired into the cash price. I was told I'd be called back...... the next call I received was from internal collections inquiring as to why i hadn't paid my bill. When I explained what efforts I'd made to pay it, I was told I should have signed an affidavit that I didn't have insurance?? Then I could have paid the "self pay" Price? Seriously??? If they knew it wasn't covered, shouldn't I have been charged before I left the facility? Then I was told By the billing office that I was informed of this-that is a blatant lie. They are unorganized and rude and have no idea what's going on with their billing. I paid my bill, after they so kindly knocked off a charge for a test I didn't receive. But when I asked the billing rep - Lisette if she felt like I'd gotten good customer service, she continued to put it off on me not signing this non existent affidavit. DON'T trust your health and those of your unborn baby's to such rude, unorganized and quite frankly uncaring people. My daughter and I will no longer be patients needless to say. read more

I met Dr Abrudescu for the first time less than 2 weeks ago and what a sweetheart. He is kind and gentle and has a great sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable and knew right away what the problem was and I already have surgery in 2 days. His staff is friendly and his nurse is very kind and makes you feel comfortable. I wish I could use him as my PCP because you just don't find someone this great out there these days. Will do another review after surgery. read more

I have delivered two babies through this practice and they listened to every problem and truly care about their patients. After my brother died, I had some anxiety and came in for some doctor visits that didn't need to be doctor appointments and they were so understanding. Recently, I have been going through issues conceiving baby three and they listened, tested me, and are helping me figure it all out. The practice is much smaller than when I started coming here, but the nurses and doctors are all so nice and really listen to you. read more

If I could give these people a negative star rating, I would. My wife lost her insurance due to a job lay-off during Coronavirus. She is 20 weeks pregnant and of course we are in the middle of payment plans with them for our OBGYN. You tell me how we managed to shell out over $700 in the past 60 days, just to come in today and have them tell us we needed to make a full $300 monthly payment, an out of pocket Ultrasound for another $300, and a doctor fee of $150. All of this was due, or she couldn't been seen. These people are disgusting, and I'm horrified to have trusted them with my wife and child. read more

Dr. Johnson made me feel so at ease and I felt like she truly cared about all of my concerns and my well-being. It is a bit hard to get ahold of the place by phone, but it's understandable considering there aren't many places around like this! All of the staff were hard at work and made me feel welcomed and comfortable - I was very nervous about my first visit, but they eased my worries very quickly. I saw dr. Nguyen. She was kind, caring and knowledgeable, but I cannot tell more details about her ability as a doctor because I saw her with a minor problem. The reason they made me to sign up here and leave a review on my busy day is because I really hated how they run their practice. They answer the phone ONLY when you make an appointment. If you have to talk to them for other reasons than appointment such as test results, you should always leave a message. They call you back, but if you miss the call, you should call and leave a message again. sometimes you need to communicate with the nurse back and forth, every single time, you should leave a message!!! PLUS, the waiting time's not shorter than 20 minutes after measuring weight. I am planning to be pregnant in less than a year, so my visit was not just for the problem I had, but also to search for a doctor who can take care of my entire pregnancy. But I won't go there again, I will cancel the "ADDITIONAL" blood test and follow up ultrasound. This practice provides services worse than I had from student health center when I was in grad school. read more

I selected this office for it's location when I was pregnant with my last child as I was new to area and had no one to offer recommendation. I had no problems with any aspect of the care I received. After my first visit with Dr. Kai Fu (love him), I requested that all my visits were scheduled with him. I think he is a very compassionate doctor and he goes above and beyond to take care of any concerns that I have. I highly recommend him. As for the office staff, while they have certainly never been overly warm and fuzzy, they have always been professional and efficient. I had no issues with them. This practice implemented an arbitration agreement after the birth of my daughter. At this point I only visit for gyno issues, as I am finished with the OB part. If I was planning to have another child the agreement might make me reconsider them for care. I don't know.... read more

I chose these people for my pregnancy based on a referal from a friend. My prenatal care was fine, but no one listened to me when I said I knew when I ovulated and I knew when i conceived, but they all wanted to go by the "chart" and by the ultrasounds to determine my due date. So when my due date was rolling around and no signs of progressing passed 1 cm, Dr. Nguyen suggested I schedule an induction two days before MY due date. They basically give you no option but to have the induction because they want the baby out by 41 weeks. Long story short, after being induced and put on pitocin for over 8 hours and not progressing over 4cm, I was deemed a failure after Dr. Nguyen went off duty and Dr. A came on, so I was sent to be cut open. If only they would have listened to me and looked at my charted temps and let my body do what it is supposed to do, I know I would not have a scar on my body and in my mind. Educate yourself, don't let an OB/GYN tell you that the baby will be too big or your pelvis is not big enough to have a vaginal birth. Avoid this office at all costs. It is a nightmare. They process you in and out . It's obviously a huge conglomerate that doesn't have ten minutes to spend with you. Brown gave me the worst PAP of my life - Planned Parenthood would be a joy compared to her. They hound you to come in but when you need something from them, it's like pulling teeth. They also implemented a mandatory arbitration clause over a year ago. They didn't notify me of this change until I reached my appointment, despite being a client for years. I was then in a position of having to agree to it or forgo the appointment, at which time I was in immediate need of a prescription. This clause signs away your right to a jury trial for past, present, and future issues including wrongful death. Arbitration is your only dispute resolution option, and the proceedings are private not public. I have had several issues where samples taken were not substantial enough to provide results, and I had to come back for the same tests and pay twice for the office visits and diagnostic work at no fault of my own. I swear I was that office a dozen times a year, despite being a healthy individual who was never pregnant. Every other gynecologist I have ever been to, I saw once a year. I can't help but feel that this office is just looking to make as much money off of their patients as possible. They also try to refer you out for everything. I was referred to the worst specialist (yes, worse than these people). When I refused to be referred out again for a treatment I was told was optional, the office essentially blackmailed me by refusing to renew my birth control prescription. This was despite the fact that I had just been in a few months prior and was not due back for another 9 months. I was told they would fill it on the spot if I went to the referral, and if I did not go to they wouldn't provide a refill. The office staff is incredibly rude and unpleasant - they make you feel like you are a problem instead of a valued patient. The worst part of all is that you can never get a human being on the phone. You call, get sent to voicemail, leave a message, and are called back. If you miss the call back, you have to leave another voicemail, wait for a call, and the cycle continues. I am glad to finally leave this place and encourage anyone considering going here to read the arbitration agreement (viewable on their website). Any place that asks you to sign away your rights doesn't deserve your business. read more

I would give zero stars if Yelp would allow it. After my wife got pregnant, she went here thinking it would be a good local OB/GYN for the next nine months of our lives. The first appointment made her sign an arbitration agreement. As soon as I found out about this, I was outraged and we found another OB/GYN (Loch Haven OB/GYN - absolutely amazing, I can't recommend this group enough!). So not only do they make YOU take responsibility for their potential screw-ups which could affect you financially and/or physically (you can't sue them for malpractice, even if there is actual malpractice...), but they coded the initial pregnancy panel of bloodwork incorrectly and our insurance rightly denied it and sent us a bill for $650. It took literally the entire pregnancy (again, we moved to a different OB group after that first appointment) to get this horrible office to send the CORRECT coding to the insurance company. It was only resolved because I was off from work after my wife HAD THE BABY!!!! and I had time to physically go down to the office myself on a weekday and sit in the waiting room until they called my insurance company back to give them the correct information. Do you need this extra stress when you're having your baby? Nope. Go to Loch Haven or ANYWHERE else, and remember: no real doctor's office will make you sign an arbitration agreement. We need to be vocal against this practice to retain our patient rights. read more

Dr. Fu is AMAZING! He walked us through the births of both of our children, both high risk situations, with patience, compassion, and a knowledge base that is second to none. It helps that they use Winnie Palmer, too. I wish more people that had positive experiences would also review them. Any negatives experienced is simply not the norm at all. We were actually referred by someone to this office. I'm going to get others to add a review. Stuff happens, and I don't mean to sound insensitive to other reviewers, but it's not the norm at all here. Best OBGYN in central Florida. We couldn't have gotten better care anywhere else. Dr. Fu was my primary doctor, but Dr. Johnson delivered my baby. Dr. Fu was very understanding and listened to all my concerns due to fibroids. He is honest with you, but doesn't push anything on you. He is a fast talker. Dr. Johnson was awesome during delivery and suggested a different position for pushing during delivery. I was also pleased with the visits from some of the other doctors from the office post delivery during hospitalization. read more

I was a previous patient of this practice in 2007. I had a great experience and had no issues with any of the doctors. Dr. White delivered my son by c-section and did a wonderful job. So when I found myself ready to have a second child, naturally I wanted to see the doctors that had served me so well the first time around. I have now had 2 experiences with their appointment desk, the second being worse than the first. Apparently I am a "new" patient since I have not been there since 2007. Well, let me tell you if I was truly a NEW patient, and did not know how amazing Dr. Fu and Dr. White were? I would have cancelled my appointment and never went back. As it is, I now have a "new OB' patient appointment and was told, " you do know you are going to be here for a few hours, right?" When I inquired why I would be there for such a long time, I was told "because you are a new OB paitent, you haven't been here since 2007 and things change". That is clear since I would NEVER have continued to use this practice, NOR refer all of the people I have over the years if I knew this is how their office staff was going to treat people. It is absolutely unacceptable that this treatment is allowed and that the office staff is so rude and unprofessional. I plan to tell everyone I know not to ever, ever, visit this practice and I am currently searching for a new OB. I actually went in for my appoinment this morning and was turned away because they needed confirmation of pregnancy. I'm sorry, but isn't that what I WAS THERE FOR???? I have since made an appointment at another practice and was not required to bring "confirmation of pregnancy". So, when they try to tell you that the insurance company won't cover the visit without it, they are full of it. RUN, don't walk away from this miserable practice. Had my first baby with this practice and ended in c-section. I was healthy all the way thru. They really didn't help me try to get the baby to move while in the hospital. They gave me lots of time, but just laying there. Had major mental and physical problems because of this C-section. If you want a vaginal birth look elsewhere. Avoid Loch Haven as well. read more

My first 2 appointments were rescheduled , it was hard to get any appointment , the triage nurse Pamela is rude and told me flat out there was no need to get my hcg levels tested because it's a waste if time and money . I have tried 3 times to get scheduled as a new patient. It is very challenging as there seems to be weeks of waiting. However, what I wanted to comment is the phone and being able to talk to someone without constantly put on hold. It appears they are under staff. I spent 5 mins on hold (twice) just to find out one of their doctors is on sick leave. If its like this trying to become a patient, I expect it will be like this as a patient. Wow! I am amazed of all the negative reviews here! I have been a patient of Dr. Abrudescu for about 17 years now and NEVER have had any difficulty with him or the staff. I can't recall having to wait an unacceptable amount of time before being seen, and I've never been rushed through. I will forever be thankful for his concern and kindness when I had a miscarriage in 2001, holding my hand as I fell asleep before the D&C that had to be done soon after. Then in 2002, he cared for me during my pregnancy and was there for the c-section delivery of my daughter. I'm sorry for the experiences the other women here have had, and hope they eventually find the level of care I have recieved all these years. read more

I would give this corporation zero stars if it were an option. My experience with this place was unprofessional and inconvenient from the very start. My appointment was rescheduled and then I had to wait an hour for a male doctor, after specifically asking for a female doctor because they scheduled it with someone who didn't perform that particular procedure. THEN I was billed $230 after being told that my appointment was covered by my insurance so I had to set up an automatic payment plan with them. After a few months the payments stopped so naturally I assumed the bill was paid in full but then I was sent a final notice. My bill was one month away from being sent to collections and the corporate office refused to handle the situation and take responsibility for their sloppy handy work and sent me the remainder of the bill. I normally don't post any comments but I was so disappointed with this place that I felt the need to tell others. I had an early term miscarriage about a month ago and it was handled so badly. The staff is rude and the nurses made me tell my heart wrenching story over and over rather than just read my chart. No one remembered me. I felt like an animal being pushed through the system. I still wasn't feeling well after my miscarriage and instead of just letting me talk to someone they told me I should come in. They said we needed to do an ultrasound. I said I didn't want to but wanted to speak to a dr. I got moved from nurse to nurse telling every single one that I don't understand why I need an ultrasound. They said that the dr ordered one. As I wasn't feeling well and I thought "who was I to argue with a doctor" I went ahead with it. When I met with the dr he started asking me all the questions over again. Once I told him the story, from the begining he very rudely said "I didn't need to know all of that. I was just trying to figure out why they did an ultrasound". When I got out of there I told the nurse I won't be paying for that. She said I had to talk to the business manager and billing department. After talking to every single person I could talk to, the manager for the practice said she would ask the dr if he said the ultrasound was unnecessary. Of course, the dr lied and said he never said that. My husband and I were both in the room. Not only do I refuse to pay for the procedure but I am never going back here. They should be ashamed of themselves for using women's health as a money maker. read more
