This was my first time at this location, which wasn't too far away but I had the same experience here as the other locations. Friendly and courteous staff at the front desk with a short wait until I was taken into- the room. Even in the room my wait was very brief until the doctor came in. I also saw a new doctor during this visit but it was just the same as my regular doctors, she was knowledgeable, friendly, and speedy with my process.

I felt confident under their care and enjoyed working with both of them. When Dr Hill determined that I would need an outpatient surgical procedure, the scheduler, Susan, didn't call to set up the procedure until more than 6 business days later after regular business hours. During the week I waited for the scheduler to call, I left two voice mail messages in her mailbox asking for a callback By the fifth day with no response, I reached out to my BayCare PCP. Upon my request, the PCP referred me to Moffitt Cancer Center. Less than one hour later, Moffitt set me up as a new patient and scheduled a consultation with a GYN. Though this means a second GYN consultation for me vs the next step of getting the necessary procedure done, I feel as if the schedulers at Moffitt have a better sense of urgency, a stronger business acumen, and a higher level of commitment to serving patients in a timely manner. I had no prior experience with Moffitt, yet they rolled out the red carpet and used kid gloves from the moment we connected to help a person in need.

If you're looking for a kind, understanding doctor who listens to your concerns, DO NOT come here…read more If you're looking for a doctor with an ego bigger than the state of Florida, this is your guy. Dr. Sanchez outright dismissed the idea that diet and lifestyle could help a "skinny" PCOS patient with fertility which is a complete lie. A quick Google search proves otherwise. Instead of exploring alternative treatments, he pushed only birth control or IVF, as if those were the only solutions. He made me feel hopeless about my fertility without even checking my ovulation. I left mid-appointment in tears, and he couldn't have been more nonchalant and chipper about moving on with his day. He had the audacity to say, "If you were my daughter, I would put you on the pill immediately." Funny enough, he told my friend the exact same thing. Let me be clear: if this were my daughter, I would never let her step foot in this office. He was dismissive, condescending, and completely uninterested in anything outside of his rigid treatment plan. If you dare to question him, good luck....he clearly prefers patients who just nod along with whatever he advises. There was a female doctor in the room during my appointment, and the way he interacted with her made me uncomfortable. Honestly, if she had been the one in charge of my care, I have no doubt my appointment would have gone differently. If you want actual hope and a doctor who considers more than just IVF or birth control, save yourself the heartache and money and go somewhere else.

I came for a replacement of my Kyleena IUD, as it had been about a month short of 5 years which is the effectivity timeframe for Kyleena. At my appointment, the doctor informed me there had been new information presented by the medical community that confirmed the Kyleena IUD is effective for 7 years. I was surprised by this because I research my own healthcare choices pretty thoroughly and this was not what I had seen. However, maybe I made a mistake. So, I went home and researched again, Kyleena is definitely only approved for 5 years of effective use. So, I came back, brought this to light, and the doctor apologized for getting it confused with Mirena. I understand it was a mistake, but I do think that's a pretty pivotal mistake that could drastically affect someone's life, I.e. being told a contraceptive device is still effective when it's not. I find it very frustrating as a patient, to have to over advocate for your own, very standard contraceptive healthcare. The doctor was friendly and so was the staff. Regardless of the appointment, before coming in you were asked to fill out patient paperwork on your mobile device which was fine that makes sense, and it's the typical medical history, appointment purpose etc. However, when you get there you have to fill out the same exact paperwork again on their tablet which I found counterintuitive.
