I went here for the 1st time last SUNDAY (yes open sun!) and had a FANTASTIC pedicure with NIKKI. I've been all over the place trying to find a decent nail place. well the search is over. I have to say, based on the negative reviews, it must completely depend on who you get. Nikki was by far the best at my pedicure. she took her time, gave me a great massage, friendly, attentive, and thorough, I couldn't believe she spent so much time on me and it was great. only $27 for the salt scrub upgrade. (Reg pedicure is $20). and so worth it! This is the place for pedicures, acrylic tips, waxing and facials. I have gone here for years staff is very friendly and accommodating, prices are reasonable. some of the best pedicurist's are May, and Joanne, they have a large section of spa pedicures within a range of prices. Love the selections of designs for acrylic nails and crystals they can do to jazz it up. They have something called a gel top that is unlike any other! it can only be removed with the electric file, so it locks in polish color or airbrush designs with out possibility of being removed with polish remover, so it lasts till your next fill . Great place and they are back in there normal location about a year ago they had a damaging fire so it has been under construction while they worked at another location, and they are now back in a brand newly built shop! read more

Used to be a regular customer here until my favorite manicurist left. Instead of saying that the Cindy was no longer there, they were evasive and sneaky and said she wasn't there that day. Went back the next time and then they admitted Cindy was no longer there. Not a bad place if you find a great manicurist but many of them are subpar. I'm from NYC -Chelsea, went to visit some family up north. They were boasting about chrome nails and how cool they were so we went to try after hearing a friends say she went to this place. We called and made a 1:45 appointment for 5, 3 chrome manicures, I fill in with chrome and one full set with chrome. The appointment was messed up and the receptionist cannot keep a schedule, estimate how long it should take to perform certain tasks nor could she tell time. Strike 1. I moved beyond that and after I was told it would be an hour someone is all of a sudden free. I sit and it begins, the man doing my nails was telling me about him being from the Bronx and how I shouldn't be wasting my money on chrome. I should've listened to all the red flags and spoke up but I didn't and continued. Ultimately, I ended up with terrible nails. The man told me 50 is a lot to spend but I was then charged 57 I guess it was them trying to make up some of the money they lost on my daughters chrome manicure which was so poorly done she requested it be removed. But the condition of her nail will need time to heal and repair. I don't mind paying 50 or 57 but for a good job, this was the worst service and quality ever!! I will be paying for someone to remove tomorrow. A total waste. The woman at table 10 gave my niece a nice manicure and my niece did mention she was nice. I have been to Wonder Nails twice within two weeks. I went once by myself for a regular pedicure ($20) and brought out of town family for a classic manicure and pedicure ($30). A manicure by itself is $12. Both times I walked in and was accommodated. The place itself is sprawling to me - the biggest nail salon I've ever been to. They have a variety of services and spa treatments for the feet. It was decent, although a bit dated. I ended up going to Wonder Nails after my shop of choice was closed. Wonder Nails has extended hours. The Good: Competitive prices. $30 dollars for classic manicure and pedicure and $20 gel nail. That's pretty good, especially for gel nails which vary in price from place to place. The Bad: Shoddy service. From reviews on the site and my own experience, their services can be rushed and inconsistent. My pedicure, although done well, was very bland - no frills. The nail tech seemed in a rush and was pushy (encouraging me to do my eyebrows and gel pedi). It was a very bare boned services (without the foot massage even though that's supposedly offered). My family agreed. After their manicures and pedicures were done, they stated that that was the quickest service they'd experienced, feeling that their hands weren't properly taken care of/cleaned. There was no complimentary massage, hot towel, e.t.c. Granted, the nail tech (the same one I had before) seemed pressed for time but regardless, you shouldn't have to compromise on your service (than maybe more techs would be needed). Overall, Wonder Nails wasn't that wonderful. For its value it was a fine experience but I know other places that provide quality service for the same price. read more

Went for a regular manicure. Was treated as though a second class citizen. They took a woman before me, who came in after me, because she was getting tips. The entire time she was doing my nails, she kept telling me that a regular manicure was not good and that I should be getting gel and should only get gel in the future. While doing my nails, she was in such a rush to get to the girl who came in after me (who was getting gel) that she picked my skin too hard and made 2 of my nails bleed. So unprofessional, skipped several steps in their rush, and treated me like I was less important than other costumers who were getting more expensive treatments. read more

The co-owner was doing my nails whilst on her phone and ignoring my requests. She did a horrible manicure and my nails chipped that same day. The polish was so thick and gross. My pedicure waa done by a different girl and she did an equally horrible job. She pushed and pulled my feet aggressively when she was done scrubbing and washing. The polish chipped the next day. What a disappointment :( I was excited to possibly find a new nail place after moving to the area. Staff was incredibly nice - and the 45 min pedicure I had with 20 min massage was a bargain at $45. But two major issues mean I won't be back - one, it's dirty. It looks like it hasn't had a deep clean in a very long time. Two, she cut me on two nails while doing my cuticles during the manicure. After she poured a substance which really burned onto my nails. Before even leaving, they became swollen and red. I've had a lot of mani/pedis and you don't need to be injured...the fact it happened in a salon where I'd question the cleanliness of their tools is further concerning. I am also torn about this place. My gel manicures always come out great, and you can't beat the price of $20. Staff is friendly. However the place is extremely dirty; they don't seem to sterilize any of the tools. You can literally see skin and nails bits from other customers on the tools. Due to this, i dont let them cut or push back my cuticles. I just get my nails filed and painted. Really, the more I go, the more I get grossed out. read more

I had an appointment for a pedicure Tuesday afternoon. I told them I was looking for a new place to go to and was trying them out for the first time. My cousin went with me. Her pedicure was over before mine plus the girl who did her nails didn't do the same things as the girl who did my nails. Procedure was very inconsistent. Before I left, I asked the girl to check my nails to make sure they were dry before I put my shoes back on since it was raining. She confirmed I was good to go. By the time I got home, the nails smudged. I went back today to get them fixed and sat under the dryer for 40 minutes. She checked them before I left and told me I was gopd to go once again. I even wore the fake flops out and ran the AC on my feet for 20 minutes for the polish to dry before I put my boots back on. When I finally took my shoes off after getting home after meeting a friend for dinner, two of the nails were smudged again. Would never go back. I don't know what they put in their polish but clearly they are watering it down or something. I will be going somewhere else from now on and warn you all not to waste your money here. read more

When I do my nails it is to pamper myself. It's to take the time from my day to relax and treat my self to a well deserving service. However this will be the first and the last time I decide to "treat" myself at this place. Rosa did my pedicure and did such a horrible job. I'm pretty sure Helen Keller would've done a better job. I did not feel pampered or relaxed after my day at work. She was unpleasant and not welcoming at all. She rushed my pedicure and left me with sloppy coloring and uneven toe nails in less than 10 mins. There was no AC either so the doors were open letting in all the flies. But even with the open air, it still smelled like shit that I had to leave not letting my nails dry completely. The workers were so unprofessional, yelling at each other and sitting in the pedicure chairs eating. So I was in wonder nails last week and I usually like going there cuz they do really good on pedicures with taking off all the dead skin because they use cheese graders but when I was getting my feet done there was a lady in there fighting bad with the owners because they weren't ready to take her, it was busy! So she got all mad and long story short I took a video no one was in the video just my feet and voices and the lady turned to me and said can you delete your video and I said no this is a free country, and I just laughed and she continued on and kept yelling at me so I called her guetto and she went psycho! And says Yh I bet you would would mind if I grabbed your phone and broke it and threw it in the water and I said oh Yh because this isn't guetto and that I would call the cops and so I was moved to the tables to get my nails done! Anyway she called the cops and they asked me to delete the video and I'm just like omg this is crazy the police have more pressing things to deal with than a video with no faces in it. Smh! So then the owner said to me if you want to take a video ask me if you can, taking the lady who is causing dramas side and not mine! So you would rather a guetto rachid b***ch as a customer and not me! She didn't even apologize for what happened to me! Okay that's fine! Not to mention my manicure the lady went crazy on my cuticles and they are burning and peeling so bad! I would not recommend this place to anyone as a relaxing environment! I was good customer until their customer service left alot to be desired. Their treatment of long standing customers has completely turned me off. They are a popular establishment but that does not mean that they can discard customers as they see fit. I went in for an appointment and both my daughter and I was turned away because I was 5 minutes late. Wonder nails has always been good with their prices and appointments, but is not the cleanest place. I usually have Long do my nails (who is wonderful) and Mae do my eybrows. Worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Filing is very uneven and there's a lot of polish on the skin around my nails. I was with a friend who's nails were no better. Very sloppy with polish on her skin. We'll never be going here again. We agree we could've done a much better job ourselves. I regret not asking for a refund. DONT GO HERE! Three of us walked in and they didn't tell us how long the wait would be. After 30 min I asked a lady how long the wait would be and she walked away. Then I told the receptionist that I asked the three lady a question but she walked away and the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. She said "that's MY job, she doesn't know". And then she walked away too! Another lady, seemingly the owner, came up and I told her hay we were not told how long the wait would be and that we asked TWO ladies and they were rude and both walked away. She said they don't have time for us right now and to come back at one - I said I can't do that especially since I wasted 30 minutes already. We decided not to wait. I asked for the receptionists name and she said "why?" I asked for her name several times and she said she won't give it to me. I asked for her boss and she pointed at the owner.
