And my dinner was half of a Roast Duck and was very satisfying with white rice (also great quality...as this makes all the difference to the meal IMO). Yeah, I mean it's all relative. Not sure what the American-Chinese options down in Pueblo are, but this one seems highly recommended. If it's the best in Pueblo, then so be it. Not super impressed, but if the competition is worse, then definitely go here. It's 100% generic Chinese, probably top sellers General Tso and Kung Pao. I got the Szechuan chicken, but it was just the generic sugar, brown, mixed veggies + chicken, but a little spicier. Basically just the Kung Pao but without peanuts. It's fine. read more

We've been on the road for over ten days and we had yet to have Chinese. This place was pretty close to our hotel so we popped in for an early dinner on a miserable drizzly evening. The staff was friendly and the service was lightning fast. I got a beer delivered in less than 5 mins after we sat down. The food once ordered was out in a flash. My wife got the combo with basil chicken, won ton soup and an egg roll. It was very good as was my General Tso's chicken. Just what I needed. The prices were reasonable and the portions large. We celebrated my niece's 19th Birthday with family. Ordered dumplings first, followed by six other dishes; my Kung Pao Chicken being one, along with Beef & Broccoli, Orange Chicken and more. Great portion sizes, served the entire table with each one. The service was wonderful - had a special visit from the owner. Lovely lady! I had a glass of Merlot. This is the first place where I got a full glass of wine! Still only $6.25!!! Every other restaurant in the world, after Covid gives you a larger wine glass, only half full, and charges between $9 and $11!! Arguably the best Chinese cuisine in Pueblo. I dine in here frequently, and every time, the food is fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The portions are always plenty, and the pricing is great. I frequent this place for lunches, and the service is always consistently excellent! In and out very quickly. The only less-than-amazing attribute of this place is that the quality of the takeout is, unfortunately, notably less impressive than dining in. This is likely due to the light, crispy breading on many of the dishes getting soggy during the packaging & transportation processes. Wife and I finally went to Wonderful Bistro after a friend's recommendation. Was it wonderful? Let me end the suspense by saying it was on the edge of wonderful. We had lunch specials of Kung Pao shrimp and Cashew shrimp- what can I say, we love shrimp! Both were excellent and had generous quantities of shrimp, veggies, & fried rice. The sauces were very good, and everything was fresh and hot. Greeting and service was friendly and efficient, and the place was clean. So why not 5 stars? Really should be 4 1/2 if that were possible. Only two things were not great- the hot & sour soup was not the most flavorful. and the eggrolls whose outsides were so crisp and flakey were let down by the inside ingredients (mostly cabbage & no meat).
