Johneen at Wonderful Hands Holistics in Bixby Knolls, Long Beach is AMAZING! I've gone to several massage therapists and she is professional, personable, and a great massage therapist. She also used an ultra sound on me to help get minimize of all the knots I have. That along with the amount of pressure she applied was perfect for me. Our conversation during my massage session was genuine, entertaining, and help get my mind off the massage (getting the knots out). She has a repeat customer! Also, in terms of COVID measures the front door is locked but before you enter for your appointment she gives you a pump of hand sanitizer. Then you either wear booties on your shoes or take off your shoes in the lobby and have socks on only. Before you enter the massage room, you wash your hands in the bathroom. There are signs in the bathroom that state it is a sanitized environment and cleaned in between clients. Both the therapist and client are masked the entire time. I am not an avid Yelper by any means, but once my massage with Johneen was done I knew I needed to come on here to rave about her. She is absolutely delightful - she asks questions so she can take care of your concerns, and throughout the whole massage she lets you know what she's doing. The previous massages I've had from other massage therapists were pretty much silent, and it was so nice to hear her explain what problem she was working to fix. Her office is also SO COVID friendly! I have avoided getting a massage since the pandemic started, but Johneen's building relieved all of my anxieties. She takes your temperature before entering, gives hand sanitizer, has you wash your hands, and she wears a mask throughout the session and you wear yours when you are face up. I wish I had found her earlier. I got out of my massage maybe 5 minutes ago and have already texted a bunch of my friends telling them they NEED to go here to treat themselves!
