We love coming to wonderful house. Food is wonderful. We are originally from California so their Lo Mein is the closest to the chow mein we are used to. The orange chicken and kung pao are delicious. Service is wonderful, the servers are very attentive and helpful. Ambiance is very relaxing and perfect for family gatherings or friendly hangouts. We love coming here. we visited this place on 12/24/2025. our first dining experience with them. we will NEVER come here again. Terrible service, rude waiter. lukewarm flavorless egg drop soup. when I asked for wonton chips for my soup, the waiter said "Later!" and waved me off in an annoyed manner. before I could explain that I'm a paying customer he quickly walked away and didn't return for over 30 minutes. when he finally did return he absentmindedly grabbed my leftover food and packed it up. he did not offer to refill my drink but attended to everyone else in my party. such strange rude behavior. this place came highly recommended but we were extremely let down. I don't think the staff even cared that we had such an unhappy experience. read more

We haven't patronized this establishment for quite a few years because their food turned into garbage. When the original owners started the restaurant it was the place to go for Chinese food. After it changed hands the food and restaurant started to decline. When you enter the restaurant it looks like a dump and smells like very used gym socks. The other night we decided to order some food to take out. The place hasn't improved in the years since we last bought food there. The restaurant still smelled bad and looks very dated. The food was only good to make a turd and sealed the deal never to order as much as water there again. Drive past this dump. Excellent, very traditional Hunan restaurant: egg fu young, chop suey and chow mein, plus a few vegetarian options. I enjoyed the orange chicken, a new dish for me. Imagine my surprise when I bit into a piece of orange peel! Not as spicy as I had imagined, and made with silken tofu, rather than the extra-firm tofu I had expected. My companion's sweet and sour combination featured three giNORmous shrimp in a platter full of pork and chicken with the usual delightful sauce. We split an order of vegetable delight: straw mushrooms, perfect water chestnuts and bean sprouts with enough of the other vegetables to satisfy even me. I Loved going here before Covid. My daughter and I went all the time. Good food, great service. But, since 2020, they closed down the lobby, and only do take-out. My daughter and I did take out a couple of times, good food, but not the same experience, so we stopped going. Love this place. We have been getting foor from here for a very long time. Even when the diningroom was closed due to Covid, we would call in our orders and pick them up. The lady that answers the phone knows me as soon as I give her my phone number and is always pleasant to me. The food is so yummy! I normally get House Fried Rice but also love General Tsos Chicken as well Sesame Chicken. My husband enjoys their Chicken Lo Mein. read more

Literally we don't understand where the good reviews are coming from? They only do takeout at this time and the place smelled and the dining room was in disaray. The FOOD not only was BAD, it wasn't edible. Literally, so salty and tasted soapy. I took the food back in and sat it on the counter and asked them to throw it away. I really can't even tell you how bad it was. Sweet sour chicken, dry chicken pieces that were breaded with a side of sweet and sour, so it didn't really permeate. The side rice was just plain dry and tasteless. Almond chicken, was SALTY chicken with pieces of uncooked celery and topped with sliced uncooked almonds, hence "Almond Chicken". Honestly, don't waste your money. They didn't act surprised when I brought it back, didn't apologize, didn't offer a refund. Something is wrong. It also isn't clean. I try to picture the owners (invariably a sweet, enterprising first-generation couple) having that initial conversation, I'd love to be a fly on the wall. "Wonderful House. What do you think of Wonderful House?" "Wonderful House? Oh, that's wonderful! Yes, yes, Wonderful House!" And this is a wonderful little place to find in these parts. It's everything you've learned to love in American Chinese, from the (orange?) egg drop soup to the delicate decorations, zodiac paper placemat and friendly, overwhelming service. Another review mentions a "small army" of employees, it's so true, they're all standing at attention throughout, awaiting your every wish. Clean, streamlined, and neighborhood friendly, we got in just before church got out; on Sundays expect a crowd. Unfortunately, neither my wife nor I are very big fans of American Chinese. Deep fried meat nuggets covered in sweet sauces and soupy, bland shrimp 'n broccoli just don't do much for either of us. This restaurant is take out only. They are not using the dining room at all. As a first time customer I walked in to read the menu. Quite a few choices. I ordered an entrée and house fried rice. Order was prepared fairly quickly, mostly because other orders were out the door and my order was the only current order. The quality of ingredients was good. My order was definitely bland. House fried rice had good ingredients and was more moist overall than expected. Hubby and I feel the prices are higher than a takeout only restaurant should charge. There weren't a lot of choices in Aztec, New Mexico. This one was given good marks so we tried it. We weren't disappointed. We had hot and sour soup to start that tasted very good. I would get this again. We had pot stickers that were very fresh tasting. For entrees we had orange tofu and pan fried noodles with shrimp, beef and chicken, lots of veggies. My only complaint would be the pan fried noodles, they weren't pan fried. More like lo mein even she this dish was tasty. read more

The place is clean and the staff is friendly but speak very little English. The food came out so fast I can only assume it's all pre-cooked.
