Whoa! I would come back here in a second. We had hoped to have New Mexican food, but on a Sunday there were very few places open. Wonderful House is very nice inside, and there is a small army of Chinese employees to serve and cook for you here. The food was super good (we had kung pao chicken, garlic broccoli and moo shoo pork). The servings were very large and the vegetables plentiful and fresh. I have been telling people for years I wish I could find Chinese food that taste's like it did when I was a kid. I finally found it at Wonderful House. The beef chop suey was outstanding on Tuesday. And, on Saturday the beef egg foo young and pork fried rice was incredible. I live in Farmington NM and the Wonderful House is in Aztec about 40 miles away. This will be the only place I will go for Chinese food. Great food, great prices and, the portions are huge. read more

I ordered the Wonderful House Special. It's a meal that includes shrimp, scallops, BBQ pork, beef, chicken, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and snow peas in a wine sauce, however, what i received when my take out order arrived was chicken and beef smothered in about 2 lbs of fried rice! So disappointing to pay for premium dish and get something that's worth half. =( read more

I had the beef and broccoli and it was way too salty. I could not even finish the meal. Should have stuck to a veggie dish or appetizers. Restaurant was clean and service was fine. We asked for a recommendation on the soup and the waiter said " I don't know you are going to eat it" should of left then. read more

I enjoyed the food. When they came and brought me my food the waiter moved my empty glass out of the way and i had to get up and find someone to give me a refill. it was my first and probably my last time going in. read more

The food here is great! Even my 2 year old loved it and he won't normally eat anything. Me and my family are from Durango Colorado and all the Chinese food in our local area is sub-par to say the least. The staff was nice and the food was great! Definitely will be coming back read more

Wonderful? Maybe Very Good After traveling for a few weeks in New Mexico, we were happy to eat something other than the local version of Mexican food. So Chinese was a nice change. Wonderful did a nice job with that. Portions were large and prices reasonable. There could have been more chicken within the heavy breading of the chicken with orange. So...it was a little short of wonderful. But still very good. read more

We had take out tonight. Wonderful House special, teriyaki chicken and sesame chicken with fried rice. The Wonderful House special and the rice were very good but the chicken dishes tasted like they used left over chicken. The chicken was way over done and dry. Tsk tsk! read more

This has to be some of the best Chinese food around the area. I am not a big veggie person so I ordered beef fried rice with just onions in it. They had a lot of beef in the rice and very few veggies. portions are fairly large for the price. Good food read more

the second worst Chinese i have ever had (worst was a truck stop in Amarillo TX) We moved to Aztec from the Bay Area ( San Francisco) about 6 months ago and really miss Chinese food. This is the only game in town so have tried it two times both times take out. Both were so terrible its hard to put into words. We ordered several dishes, supposedly quite different from each other but had trouble telling them apart. Same nasty brown sauce on them all, could not tell the pork from chicken. We made the mistake of ordering seafood, calamari was smelly and inedible, we literally had to throw it in the trash. Same with teriyaki chicken, meat was so overcooked as to be inedible, two bytes and my wife made herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead. I know its not really fair to compare middle America Chinese food with "real" Chinese food from the coast, but this place is bad no matter where you live. This is the absolute worst place i have eaten in the last decade, and I mean that literally, with no exaggeration. read more

In the past, the food is fairly good, but in a couple of occasions my favorite Pepper Steak has had a spoil or rotten taste to the meat. Also noticed that some of the meat was not fully cooked, showing red blood and tough to chew. Sad that this has happened on 2-3 occasions, that I switched to the Mongolian Beef, and found some of the meat to have a slight taste of it being spoil. Also noticed the steam rice having what seemed like mice poop. read more

Had two good entrees. Large portions and good tasting. Clean and pleasant dining area and good service. One piece of advice . . . Don't order the crab Rangoon. Hardly any filling . . . Mostly overly crunchy outer layer. read more

Worst chinese food I have ever eaten. First of all the food is way too salty, the water is disgusting, and the egg drop soup is oily and orange. The fried rice is ok but so salty. I've tried this place three times, tried different plates and was disappointed each time. In my opinion you could make better chinese food at home. Save your money. read more

The food here is pretty good. They have a pretty big menu so there are plenty of dishes to choose from. Their lunch deals are excellent - you can get a big meal with soup, rice, and an egg roll for $10-12. Only complaint is that I do get a little stomach upset after eating here from time to time, though I think it's just the sodium and my sensitive gut not getting along. The food is always fresh and hot so it's not an issue with sanitation. The staff are always very friendly, as well. read more

Wonderful House in Aztec is probably the best chinese in the Four Corners. The staff are friendly and helpul. I usually go there for lunch at least once a week. read more
