City Hall seemed a little too sober, so two weeks before a vacation we had already planned, we decided to end our trip with an intimate elopement ceremony on the beach. Neither of us are religious, but we wanted to celebrate our union meaningfully. Reverend Jon turned out to be the perfect officiant for us. We were traveling to LA from out of state, so did not have a chance to meet with Jon beforehand. I spoke with him on the phone and followed up with an email detailing our background as a couple and some readings we liked. We spoke again the day before our ceremony to discuss our vows and what he would wear. He was completely game for the spontaneous and romantic spirit of our ceremony. Jon has a lovely, kind spirit and great sense of humor that instantly put us at ease when we met him 30 minutes before our ceremony. And then came the best part - the ceremony. I had no idea that he would put so much time into his remarks. They were thoughtful, insightful, specific to our history, and wove in the readings we'd suggested perfectly. He crafted a beautiful ceremony, allowing us to be present and really take in the moment and our gorgeous surroundings. I will remember it forever. Linda and her husband were incredibly accommodating, and our wedding even included a photographer, which was such a thoughtful touch. We wanted to include both of our daughters in the ceremony, and Linda beautifully spoke about our union as a family. We had hired a coordinator prior to David that had left us hanging until it was time for payment after the deposit. David came to us as a referral from our florist, Annie, from Little Blue Hummingbird. David had monthly check-ins leading up to the month before our wedding which became weekly check ins. For the day of our wedding we thought he would only have 1 or 2 assistants but showed up with a whole team with radios and microphones. David built our whole lighting set up, arranged the entire setup of our reception, handled particular relatives, bussed tables, provided water service, cutting and serving our cake and did the tidying and tear down after the party was over! David was fully available to us at all times and was on top of all our vendors. He definitely created a seamless magical day for us. David is an award winning coordinator and we definitely can see why. We were able to enjoy our day and all of our family could not stop complementing the care David gave us on our day. We definitely were lucky and blessed to have had David as our coordinator.

This is a really late review but we can't THANK David enough for how beautiful our wedding turned…read moreout. He was so easy to talk to and coordinated everything so well. He handled a few mishaps so well (no fault of his at all but because WE were late) and he did not show one ounce of stress. I have difficulties with officiants who would only do religious ceremonies, but she was totally accommodating to my more "spiritual," non religious beliefs and found a way to incorporate those in. She made everything so easy, not just with all of the details of the ceremony but also with taking care of the marriage license. Leslie is about as experienced as you can get, with ideas from all cultures, tribes and peoples. She has had many, many ceremonies and weddings under her belt, but it never once felt recited, or forced. She personalized our ceremony to make it feel like it was really tailored to us.
