Having this gym on West Beaver Creek allowed me an easy way to get there through traffic and a great escape from it on the way home. The facility was well taken care of when I entered. It didn't have the usual sweaty stench of most gyms. I enjoyed that the gym was more family based rather than the large chain. I find that a smaller more encouraging environment helps me a lot more than being ogled at the larger chain gyms. The vibe was very comfortable for me and my coach had been very knowledgeable of not only the exercises we were prescribed but our individual needs. I enjoyed his ability to deal with me as an individual while maintaining the group aspect of the classes. Since I've started training here, not only has my mother and cousin joined but my aunt as well. I left the country for some odd months to come back and find them in better shape than they have ever been. The best part is that they all seemed to have fun on the way there. The coach and the staff here always set up great family based events on holidays as well that give us both a great workout and a little competition. It's been a great experience growing with my new friends at the gym and bonding with my family as well.

It's located on the second floor of the building and once you up the stairs you turn left for the reformer pilates, I believe there's other rooms for other classes on the right. I was greeted by the reception and had to sign a waiver form. You also have to wear pilates socks at this location during your exercises but if you don't have any, they have some for purchase at their studio. Once you walk into the room/ class you're expected to leave all your belongings like purses, wallets and phones at their cubbies since it's a no phone zone when the class is in session. Since I picked an introductory class, the instructor talked us through how to use the reformers and what to expect. During the class, I thought it'd be more useful if the instructor actually showed us how to do certain moves herself so we had a visual, rather than just talking us through the steps. As beginners, it would've been a lot more helpful. Knowing that this was a introductory class, I didn't expect to be sweating and be super sore the next day - which I wasn't. But I definitely felt some muscles being activated that I don't usually target. Overall, it was a great experience and I went back a couple more times after that. Take the introductory class as it really helped with understanding how to use the reformer and how the movements should feel.

They're challenging (I've been going for years and still need to lie down or rest in child's pose), although instructors do offer some modifications. Yoga is supposed to be for everybody, but my friend who is new to yoga felt lost in the crowd and not given accessible poses - and this was foundation flow. My other complaint is that the main room is not cleaned between classes. I know this because I've walked in many a sweat puddles barefoot as I traversed across the studio. The instructors all have something special. Jenny leads an energetic class and is supportive (I did crow pose for the first time in her class!). Cindy is a dancer and makes yoga look beautiful. May is funny and pairs Pilates movements with Top40 music. Susan is badass! Classes are non-competitive, HOT, and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated (unless you go to Guy's Friday night class...10/10 will lie down in shavasana). Have fun!

I've been around long enough to see the different dynamics between different mini 'generations' of students; most of which have been incredibly positive. The instructors have been able to foster a welcoming environment, and the students have done well to keep it that way.
