I usually always had positive experiences with Wonderland, taking my family of four to go see movies. I have to drive 30 minutes from out of town to get there but the prices are always made the movie going experience more enjoyable as I felt like I didn't have to break the bank, but recently I mistakenly bought tickets for the wrong day online, and I only found out when people were sitting in what I thought were my seats. When I showed the employee my QR code, it still allowed the tickets to be printed out from the day before, so I bought concessions for the whole family and when I was confused about our seats being taken, they explained I bought tickets on the wrong day, and that there was nothing they could do for me. I reached out to their office and was never reached out to. I understand that I made an error in not paying closer attention to the date i selected, but it left a bad taste in my mouth that I wasn't even allowed to get credits for a future showing. They knew I hadn't seen the movie already, because they were able to be printed when I showed up. I've been a loyal customer and tell a lot of my friends about Wonderland, but I kind of ended up feeling hung out to dry. It was a little humiliating to be standing there holding popcorn, drinks, and candy just to tell my kids we had to go home. read more

This is what we used to call a good old-fashioned dollar theater. Please don't be confused admission is five dollars but that is half the price of other cinemas. Kind friendly staff great prices on popcorn and other snacks! It makes taking the family to the theater possible again by making it financially reasonably priced. Now, the theaters do not have giant screens, there's no stadium seating, there's no reclining massage chairs, no IMAX surround sound. But it is a good experience for the price. read more

My best friend, her son, and I have been looking forward to going to see the Bob's Burgers movie since it was announced. When we found out our local Moore Theatres didn't have any showings, we travelled down to Niles to come here so we could watch the movie we had been anticipating 4 years. The pandemic slow down the production of this movie and we were ecstatic when we finally got to come to a showing. We got our snacks and our tickets and we got our butts in the seats. All three of us loved the movie and the snacks we got, we will definitely be coming back not only to this theater, but also the Coloma location. well, sad day, another business joins the current I don't give a crap about customer satisfaction because no matter be seems to care anymore. I rarely complain, but I thought this one time, it a legitimate complaint and they seem to have always been so caring and helpful. I took just a box of candy that seemed to be "off" my daughter bought it, my wife tried it thought same thing I tried it and it was disgusting. As you can figure, they wouldn't take it back, they didn't care and there was no recourse... so small of an item but so huge on customer loyalty... last time here... why because the experience was not ok? no principle! if we keep rolling over this is what happens on a bigger and bigger scale! read more

I would recommend going to celebration cinema in Benton harbor rather than wonderland cinema. Wonderland is cheap but it's not that clean and the food isn't that good. Celebration cinema is a little more expensive but has better food and the seats recline and are more comfortable. read more

Wonderland cinema is an excellent place for a date night or cheap movie viewing experience. Unlike most cheap movie theaters, wonderland shows the most recent movies on their release day. When my girlfriend and I go we are always able to get our tickets and food for less than 20 dollars. If you are in town and want to see a movie I would highly recommend this theater. read more

Was recommend to this theater while in town on vacation. The ticket price couldn't be beat at $4 per person for a 3pm showing on a Friday. For a large popcorn and medium drink, it was $5.50 total. Cannot find those prices back home, even at the less expensive theaters. The theater itself was pretty bare in decor, but there were some neat snacks like fresh made cotton candy. There was even beer. You can choose your seats, although the seats are just basic seats, not reclining or anything. The picture and sound quality were great. Would definitely recommend this theater and it is in a much better (safe) location compared to the next closest theater. read more

We love this theatre! It is soooo reasonably priced for both the movies and concessions! Family lives in the area and we try to come here every time when we're in town. I hate paying $12-14 for a movie. We cane here at 6:30p on a Friday for $5!!!! Movies are first run too! Now how can they do this when the others charge 2-3 times! read more

Went to the movies today in a really nice theater in Niles Michigan. Assigned seats comfortable seats with pull down armrests. The seats being assigned were marked well on the floor in front of your seat so no chance of getting mistakenly getting the wrong seat like has happened back home. They served alcohol too. If I told you the ticked price you would not believe it. I'm still wondering if they made a mistake. The prices were at least 1/2 the price I would pay in California. And they don't gouge you at the snack bar. Hot dogs were $2 and the reusable plastic bucket was $3. .50 to fill each time you come and free refills. Thursday's it free. But no buckets Friday-Sunday. Great prices, easy to pick seats, online or in the lobby. Good sound and shows most of the new releases out. Refreshments and popcorn are inexpensive. Note that before noon, all movies are 2.50 which means you do not have to spend 60$ at a mainstream theatre to take family and friends for a day at the movies. 4.00 - 4.50 at other times. read more

I recently moved to Niles. I have seen several movies at this place, and everything was fine, until today. I bought a ticket online. I went to the counter and bought popcorn and a drink. I headed for the theater to sit down - and was stopped. Theater Guy: "You can't bring that backpack in here." Me: "I've never been told that before - I have been here several times, and I always have it." TG: "I can't let you bring it in." Me: "You can check it, if you want - I have a tablet, some calculators, a notepad, and a couple of books." (I'm a programmer, and do a lot of math. TG: "You can go put it in your car." ME: "I don't drive, I'm legally blind - I walked here." TG: "I can't let you bring it in. You can leave it with someone behind the counter." ME: "I have a lot of expensive electronics in there - I can't just leave it." TG: "I can't let you bring it in - you'll have to leave." I dropped my full soda and popcorn into a wastebasket and left - a waste of about $10. I'll never set foot in that place again - and I hope you won't either. read more

I love bringing my family here. It's great if you have kids, movies in the morning/afternoon are $3 for everyone. Snacks aren't astronomically priced like in the other theaters, and if the weather is decent, the kids can play on the playground behind the theater. They recently started doing reserved seats, so if you're going to a popular movie, get your tickets early! The theaters have a warehouse vibe, don't think you're getting some fancy schmancy seating. Definately worth the drive to Niles!! My family of 3 can go to the movies and all have a popcorn, drink, and candy for under 20 bucks! 2 drinks at Encore is $10!! WTF??!! After going to Wonderland, I refuse to go anywhere else. Why would you want to?? Sure Encore is close but the seats are crap, the ticket price is too much, and the food is definately way way overpriced, and the theater is basically run down and dirty. Wonderland is clean with super comfortable seats. You get to make your own popcorn so you can put as much butter on it as you want. MY FAMILY WILL NEVER GO TO A MOVIE ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

Great place to see a movie. Tucked away on a side street, the building is small by today's theatrical standards but they have six screens and always a good selection of films. Reminicient of the theaters I grew up in but with comfortable seats and better snacks. The interior is simple but well decorated with movie posters and very clean. Admission prices cannot be beaten ($5.00 for a show after 6 pm and less for matinees). Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are extremely reasonble but if you want an adult drink they have those too. Cannot recommend this theater enough. Please go and give them a few of your hard-earned dollars - you'll have no regrets. read more

This was a great experience, the movies are all 100% digital. The seats are comfortable and the sound quality is very good. I took my self and my 3 kids to an eleven am show and it was very kind on my wallet. We had the movie buckets which was awesome because the kids could eat as much as they could. The only con is you could feel the cost cutting measures when you enter the door. The decor was fair. However, I was there for the movie experience and that was awesome. read more

I love Wonderland Cinema. I've only been twice. But on both occasions everything was spot on. Once was during the 2019 polar vortex and it was a little frustrating that I could not call and speak to a human, but the theater was open so everything worked out. The movies are super affordable, seats are comfy, & snacks & refreshments are affordable. If you make it before noon it's $2.50. That is bananas. I highly recommend Wonderland Cinema!!! read more

You really cant beat the price of going to the movies here. Two people can see a 1st run movie for $15. This includes the cost of two lg popcorn and sodas. My last visit was better than my first. The first time I was here it was very cold in the theater and the floors were dirty. This time It seemed very clean. My only complaints are that the theaters are extremely small. This makes some seats along the side appear at a weird angle to the screen. Get there early and sit in the middle. My other complaint is that the sound system is a little weak even for the small theaters. I know I shouldnt expect a huge expensive sound system for such an affordable theater, but if they would just add a couple of more speakers to the back it would sound so much better. Regardless, this is the best deal around for the movies. My wife and I will be returning much more often. read more

Great prices for admission and their fantastic concessions (which now include beer and/or mixed drinks; with a 2 drink maximum per person per day, strictly monitored and enforced) are incredibly affordable. A family of four can go on a Sat. afternoon, watch a show and have a nice amount of food and drinks for under $30. They always have the newest movies in a welcoming environment. The seats could definitely use updating, they are in good shape, but after sitting in one for 120 minutes, comfortable isn't an adjective that would come to mind if asked to describe them. Other than the seat issue, there's not one negative thing I can say or even think of when it comes to Wonderland Cinema. The owners obviously know what they are doing and Niles gets the benefit! read more

I don't go to theaters that often but when I do I usually come here. The price is mainly what I like. It's very affordable without spending an arm and a leg, and they have other features that are nice too. One feature that I don't remember seeing at other theaters that caught me off guard is their bar. They don't serve hard liquor but they serve beer. I can't remember the last time I saw a theater serve beer. Cool! Also I like the condiments they have for their popcorn. Most theaters just put butter and salt on their popcorn but at wonderland they have flavorings you can add like cheddar cheese, or garlic Parmesan which is awesome. They also have a nice selection of snacks to choose from. Wonderland is a cozy place to go see a movie and isn't too big or too small. It's one of my favorite places to go to see the latest movies, still have money leftover and enjoy some good snacks. read more

Normally I wouldn't complain.. HOWEVER.. Completely understaffed and extremely long lines cause me be late for the start of the movie. Finally after a 10 minute wait to get my ticket. Was informed that they don't sell tickets 10 minutes after the start of the movie, so I wouldn't be able to see the movie. I've moved to Texas, but like today came back to visit wanted to take the family to a movie. However, because of the theatres inability to properly staff their theatre, I was turned away.. so, I'll not be back to this theatre. read more

I Love this place!!! I have been going here since before it was at it's current location on Front st. It used to be in the main part of downtown in an old theater building, complete with the old fashioned front apron thing/marquee. The floor boards were wooden and used to creek when you walked. It was very quaint...ahhh...brings back memories of my hubby and I while we were dating. Well now, they have moved to a much bigger and newer place. We pay about $15 for the four of us to watch a brand new release, have 2 large pops, and a large butter layered popcorn! Compare that to over $60 for the same movie, pop, and drinks at the ICON. You cannot beat that! 3D films are a couple of dollars more. Here are some tips: Go before 10:30am for $2.50 shows. bring your bucket back for free popcorn during the week, bring your own 3D glasses, otherwise you'll have to buy them there. They just opened up a little deli in the same building so you can have a meal beforehand. OK sandwiches but you can't refill your pop to take into the movies with you. read more

I would give this place 5 stars if the managers I have dealt with were not rude and totally unprofessional. But, as far as prices, you can't beat this place! We often bring the kids for $2.50 morning movies. The refreshments are also very reasonably priced. I appreciate having an affordable place nearby to make the kids smile :) read more
