    Pork Fried Rice

Great little local place. Egg rolls that actual Have pork in them. Roast pork fried rice lots of pork . We've shared which came w/ pint white rice . Tripe Crown , lots of veggies and not cheap on the pork , beef or chicken. Veggies still had a snap on them . Always arrives hot . Delivery guy nice too .

The worst hot and sour soup I have ever had.

You know, writing a bad Yelp review goes one of two ways. Sometimes it feels freaking great, like a fantastic coke rush. Oh yeah, tear 'em a new one! Bash that place! They gave me a bad dining experience, so they deserve it! One star, one star! That'll show 'em! But other times, it ain't so great. Sometimes, you are legitimately rooting for a place, and speaking your honest opinion, well it kinda sucks. You feel a little bad that you have to give an unfavorable rating to restaurant where you really feel their intentions are good. Unfortunately for me, this is one of the latter cases. And I'll let you know in advance, I'm not gonna hold back. Here we go.... I really want to like Chinatown Restaurant (the one on Cypress). They're close to my current residence. Their food is VERY affordable. They have a lot of menu options. Their service is quick. The workers are friendly. This place really has a lot going in its favor. But the food is really bad. I like Chinese food a lot, I really do. And this is some of the worst I've had. I've been there twice now, and there wasn't one dish I can say I like. The General Tso's Chicken was soggy with a thick outer coating and not crispy in the slightest. Not the worst I've ever had, but a major disappointment. I usually love General Tso's. The eggplant in the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce was cut poorly, as if the chef had no clue what they were doing. It was greasy, and the sauce was unappetizing. If it weren't for a defunct pizza joint in Orlando (damn you Brooklyn Joe and your awful eggplant parm!), I would honestly say this was the worst eggplant dish I've ever had. My stepmom, who is honestly a pretty bad cook, has served me better eggplant than this. I'm not even joking. The Hot and Sour Soup was appalling. No flavor what so ever. Kinda like somebody spilled water in it. This was the worst hot and sour soup I have ever had. It was so bad I took a picture for you kind Yelpers. Just look at the lack of color. That is a disgrace. The rice was below average. Not the worst I've had, but certainly underwhelming. It did not help any of the sub-par main dishes in any way. All things considered, I'll give Chinatown 2 stars. Their prices are extremely fair, and they have a nice atmosphere for a Chinese take-away. If they found a better chef, they could actually be pretty good. I hope they figure things out. I'm rooting for them. Until then, go to May's Kitchen instead.

My lunch special that literally arrived in 10 minutes and only cost $15. Can't beat that! (Appetizer, soup, entree and drink)

This little spot truly never fails me. I waited to review this place because I have noticed a lot of the restaurants in this area give inconsistent quality and service. They on the other hand are always very friendly, delivery is super fast and food is good. It's basic Chinese food, nothing too fancy but always satisfying. As far as delivery goes they do a great job and I don't have a single complaint.

My go to Chinese food lunch spot in Pompano Beach. I just get shrimp dishes, usually shrimp & broccoli. They're egg drop soup is pretty good too. Being from NYC, and loving Chinese food my whole life, I am happy to have found this place. I come about once a week and always leave satiated.

    a tray of food

My entire meal was cold. The BBQ ribs didn't have any sauce on them and the rice tasted like it had been sitting all day. Definitely won't be ordering again.

Now I have to admit, when my butcher recommended their "crispy steak," the idea of a fried steak was NOT particularly appealing to me. But I decided to give it a try anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised! The prime New York steak is only lightly dusted with water chestnut flour, so it's not heavily battered or greasy at all. It just gives the outside a gentle crisp while the steak itself stays perfectly tender. It's thinly sliced and served with sautéed peppers, onions and cabbage in a garlic, soy and burgundy wine sauce. Really, really good! I ordered mine to go, and I have to mention their packaging because I don't know WHAT kind of magic they're doing with these containers, but my food is always still super hot after the 10-minute drive home. Not warm--HOT, like it just came off the stove. I definitely appreciate that with takeout. While I was waiting for my order, I also took some time to admire the many awards displayed throughout the restaurant. Rainbow Palace is clearly an award-winning restaurant, and judging by that collection, they've been collecting accolades for YEARS! The Crispy Steak does cost a pretty penny, so this isn't exactly your inexpensive neighborhood Chinese takeout. But the quality of the ingredients, preparation and portion definitely feel a step above your typical takeout spot. Another delicious meal from Rainbow Palace, and apparently I need to keep working my way through their menu!

I knew after these starters the meal was going to be exceptionally delicious. I had the orange beef and my wife had the snapper. We accompanied our entrees with the chef special fried rice which was a perfect addition. We finished our dinner with the key lime pie and took home dinner for tomorrow. I didn't mention the Mai Tai and the lichee Martini which were made perfectly. Earnest is a great server who is professional all the way throughout the dining experience. We will return to this not inexpensive establishment but worth the money. Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale is limited and this is steps ahead of Christine Wong. Needless to say the restaurant is beautiful and very comfortable which enhances the dining atmosphere.

It's in a different type of location -- a very small strip of businesses with only a few spots in front -- in the middle of a residential location. We were driving by between lunch and dinner and decided to stop to bring some food home for a later meal. When we stopped by, we got to meet the owners and chef. They were both very welcoming and friendly. He told us about some special meals and made suggestions. He was preparing some blue crabs for his own lunch, and they looked wonderful. You can get some special meals here, off menu, if you preorder. We went with a couple of our usual choices so we could see how they compared. We ordered some pork with Chinese vegetables and an order of Singapore rice noodles. Plus, for me an order of egg roll. The rice noodles were such a large portion that it filled two containers. And we wound up eating several meals from our take home food. The eggroll was very good. I ate one right away! There were two to the order. It had a different crispy wrapper -- it seemed house made. And it was filled with larger bits of meat. I really liked it. There was a lot of large flat pork slices in with the vegetables. In a brown sauce, there was broccoli, bok choy, pea pods, etc. It came with a side container of white rice. The rice noodles were fragrant with curry, but it only had a slight kick (as in not too spicy). There were lots of shrimp, chicken, and pork strips mixed in with the thin noodles. This dish was addictive. We are so glad we stopped to try them. Really one of the better Chinese places we've tried and certainly one of the better take-out places. Wish they were closer, or we'd be there more often.

Delicious and so kind. I got the chicken and broccoli dinner combo. Will definitely be back!read more
