My four month old and I went here with my mother on Saturday for lunch. When I walked in I was kinda disappointed by how tiny the buffet was. The quality of food was there, it is definitely the best Chinese food in Western Oklahoma! The service is beyond amazing! My drink was also filled and they were right there is I needed anything at all! The inside was very clean, the outside deceives it. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the price. We paid $30 for 2 adult buffets. I wouldn't have mind paying that if there was more food or if there was seafood. This was probably the worst dining experience I've had in recent years. To start with they offered no concessions on seating... 12 people just seat yourself... We found one table for 8 and a table or two away another for the four boys. The waitress, who seemed like she was already annoyed at having to split the checks between two families at two separate tables, took our appetizer order and had to be reminded she hadn't taken our drink order yet. I wasn't very hungry so I decided on crab rangoons and hot and sour soup, both made by their "own" recipe, neither of which did I like. I have to describe the soup... it was as if you started with bad recipe for hot and sour soup then took everything left over from your buffet, ground it up and dumped it in the pot. It was a gross, heavy, thick goulash you can easily eat with a fork. That was about 20 minutes into our dining experience, about 30 minutes later our appetizers came. Everyone who likes them pretty much knows that crab rangoons are cream cheese and crab meat wrapped in a pastry shell and deep fried... not at Wang's. I'm not sure what was in them in fact the only thing I could positively identify was green onion in some semi-translucent viscous fluid. Now, let me be fair here. Wang's is in Clinton,a small town in the plaines of western Oklahoma their recipes are their business and that of their local patrons but that's not what made our experience so abominable. I was having a conversation about their recipes with another of our party and was overheard by the waitress who informed the owner/cashier who was apparently standing right behind me listening in. Now mind you we are better than an hour into our dinner (appetizers and drinks). The owner/cashier let me know that they are an independent restaurant and have their own recipes and did so in a very crass defensive manner. Ugly is a better way to describe it but I wanted to be more verbose in describing her attitude. Hostile is also a word I would use to describe her. When another adult in our party asked about our meals, how much longer would it be the feces literally hit the fan! We were told it would be at least another half hour and when someone said that we had already been there for over an hour we were told "You can leave if you want". We had, up to that point, not been loud or disruptive. My remarks about their food had been quiet and private except for someone eavesdropping. Now we, 5 adults and 7 children under 14, were being faced down by three hostile, loud mouthed restaurant staff and invited to leave without paying for our drinks or appetizers, just leave. Words fail me at this point... They were the rudest ugliest red neck restauranteur wanna-be's I have ever had the misfortune to encounter and if, if you decide you want to try your luck just keep your mouth shut and say nothing about their "own recipes". Another word-to-the-wise, it's pretty obvious their 4star rating came from their relatives and close friends. read more

This place isn't much to look at, but the food is divine. I've never had such great buffet food. The buffet isn't very vegetarian though. I had the sauteed green beans, shrimp and rice. The green beans were perfect. The were flavored with garlic and wonderful spices. The egg rolls were very fresh and delicious. All of the food had to be made from scratch. First off, don't be scared off by the crumbling and boarded up hotel behind the restaurant. I promise, there be no dragons there. I've been eating at Wongs since I was 5 years old, so you might say I'm a fan. I love the retro Chinese restaurant decorations inside. Outside of the newer buffet, its clear little has changed at Wong's in the last 30 years, and that's part of what gives this place its special charm. It definitely helps that the food is good, too. This place is usually packed in the evenings so prepare for a wait if you arrive after 5PM. read more

It's been there unchanged for nearly 50 years for a reason. They don't serve 99 items on their buffet or anything silly like that. We went to this restaurant traveling through Oklahoma and thought it looked intriguing as a Cantonese place among steakhouses. Seating was self serve and we ordered within first 5 mins. We waited over 30 mins for food without any explanation or apology of the delay. Yum! Our family of 5 went tonight after a day full of fun at the "water zoo" - this is what we ordered: Hot & sour soup - dare I say this is some of the best hit and sour soup I've ever had in my entire life. Everyone loved it! Orange chicken - spicy and sweet, so delicious! Crispy chicken with spicy sauce - super good and unique. Kung pao chicken, asked for extra spicy - it actually was extra spicy and very good and fresh Hubby & daughter shared the "po po tray" and it was good - the egg rolls were the best I've ever had and my daughter especially enjoyed the Hawaiian beef. We a had left over food too - big portions. Everyone in town must know how good this place is too because when we left, there was standing room only! The buffet on Sunday is absolutely fantastic, but we generally order to-go if we are craving Chinese food during the week. We found Wong's by accident driving down Rt 66 last night. Wonderful discovery - very good food, friendly service. Four of us shared two of the family-style dinners (No 3 & 4) and all the dishes were very tasty. Lots of good leftovers, too. After ten days if Route 66 we needed some non all-American food, so we followed the reviews and went to Wong. We were not disappointed. We had orange, lemon and crispy chicken, and pearl seafood. We also had hot and sour and wonton soup. All was delicious. Sauce was abundant, portion size too - but not exaggerated. Service was extremely nice, maybe a bit slow but the waitress apologized and said it was due to many takeaways. In fact, the place was full and we saw several pick ups. All in all the wait was fine. First of all, the only good thing about this place is the food. We arrived 3/22/18 and was told by the very hateful waitress that she couldn't take our drink order because its too difficult with multiple checks to take a drink order separate from a food order. Once we decided what we wanted we ordered both food and drinks. Took forever to get drinks, had to ask for them. The waitress clearly didn't want to be there, and hated her job. We overheard her talking to a customer / friend "I'll be glad when this mess is over". We did have 10 in our party, with very hungry kids. After waiting 45 mins for our food, and watching numerous people come in and be served before us, I was irritated. I decided we would leave and pay for our drinks. When I asked for our check, that same hateful waitress was yelling at me in front of the others in the restaurant that we took forever to order and that there was no way we had been there that long waiting. I told her I didnt appreciate her snoody comments either. To which she replied she didn't have any. Then food came out as I was standing there. see informed me I'd have to pay since our food was done, because that's not right. Although I informed her that ita not right we had to be served after all these people coming in. We stayed, I'd never walk out on a check. But I was not happy about it. Funny after that she left the front and we were served by a younger guy. We were waited on and had great service after that. She needs to be fired, find a different job.
