We came in on Tuesday 3-10-26 asking questions about back hand spring class that is offered, and we talked to Karen and she gave us 3 days to choose from and we told her we could only do Wednesday at 7-8pm cause her school cheer takes up other to days with same time. at this time she said great and our daughter (Bella) would need to take the intro class first on Wednesday 3-11-26 from 6-7pm. We said ok see you tomorrow and we showed up and did class and was told yes Bella is ok to join backhand spring class. We go up to desk to sign up and Karen at this point told us the Wednesday class is full and never opens up as its for the Vegas stars team, so we got upset and left, but my question is if the Wednesday class at 7-8pm is only for the Vegas Star team then why offer it and why did Karen waste our time when she knew that was the only class we could be in and still have us do the intro class and waste everyone's time. My Daughter (Bella) did the intro with Cheezie and my Daughter said Cheezie was awesome and really wants to go here and so that is why it is ever worse that Karen did this and had us start something she knew was not possible cause Wednesday night are of the table. I however strongly disagree with her training practices and feel it could be detrimental to those trying to learn and ultimately trainees wanting to give up, or back away from providing life saving procedures in the future. Part of learning is making errors ... we all do it... that is the teachable moment. When we publicly shame someone who is trying and putting forth effort by calling them out in a group of peers ... the effect causes emotional harm and discomfort resulting in a loss of lessons being learned. To teach we should correct but privately ... not make effort to embarrass people ... young or old the practice of public embarrassment as a learning tool and proven to be most ineffective and damaging. While I appreciate the woman's devotion to the subject ... I deeply feel she needs to alter her training practices and use her heart when teaching people how to revive someone's life. I have now been twice in her course and seen her shame people ... I didn't like it then and didn't appreciate it today. I was a teacher and former corporate trainer ... I would never have treated any student in this fashion and hope she can modify her methods and be a better teacher moving forward... I say this from my heart to hers !

That's why I did it just a couple days BEFORE I graduate lol. My instructors have been Mike in the classroom and T in the trucks. They both treat you with all the respect and patience that you deserve and THEN some. Even if you have no business driving a truck, they'll likely have you feeling up to the task by the time you walk out of the school. They give you enough one on one time to recognize your particular way of learning and are able to explain things in easy to understand step by step instruction. I test in two days and I feel so prepared due to T's instruction, I won't lose a wink of sleep the night before test day! Thanks Mike! Thanks T! and Joey...thanks for keepin us all feelin positive and confident when we all questioned what we got ourselves into!
