They even have complimentary "made to order breakfast", bicycles to zip around town, pac man, a great pool, a fire place and they even leave a yoga mat in your room with stretching directions. This is without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The walls are incredibly thin. All day all night you hear running water from anything requiring plumbing in adjacent rooms. Conversations in adjacent rooms are not private. It smells like an old folks home... pretty sure it was once and was "rehabbed" to be a hotel. Never again. read more

I chose this restaurant because it was the cheapest option in the Wood River Valley so I had low expectations. However, they did a great job. Pros: very easy to find, on the Main Street in Hailey. Also near several grocery stores and a little coffee shop to easily walk to Service was very friendly. I asked to check in early and even though they were busy they got me in two hours early and called to let me know the room was ready Nice pool area and small fitness room Easy, fast check in and check out The room was pretty clean. They don't have cable TV but they do have several streaming apps. You do have to log into your own accounts, which seems bad and unsafe, but at least it's an option for what to watch Fridge, microwave, and tiny coffee maker in the room Nice breakfast in the morning. You can only go through the line once so it's not really a buffet. However, you can choose whatever you'd like. They have tiny muffins and bagels, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Then they have a hot bar with eggs, meat, little breakfast burritos, and biscuits and gravy. It was a really substantial spread. They also had a pancake maker, oatmeal, and cups of cereal. You can serve yourself juice or coffee and that has free refills. Cons: older, worn furnishings No coffee or tea in the lobby and almost no vending options Overall, it's a good spot to stay, basic and clean, with a nice free breakfast read more

December 2023 I was directed here by Sun Valley Animal Center because this hotel kindly gives a surgery rate for people in town for their pet's surgery. The hotel is very nice, rooms are updated and lovely. They even have a little mat and stretching guide to stretch in your room. The breakfast was wonderful! Real food actually cooked there with tons of variety. The hotel has Grocery Outlet and Natural Grocers next door if needed. They are on Main street and within walking distance of so many fun places to eat and hang out. I would definitely recommend this hotel, very enjoyable stay! read more

My rating is 3 and half stars. Comfortable room, ample' great bed, giant TV. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to everything. There is a yoga May and stretching bands in the room with cards showing stretching moves. The breakfast bar has a good selection and the staff is constantly replicating it and cleaning. I burned my tortilla today, got stuck in the rotating toaster causing a small manageable fire ... oops they were very gracious with me. We used the laundry facilities, very much needed after 11 days on the road and 11 more coming up. Only one washer and dryer and it worked for us. On our first night the fire detector started to beep, the front desk worker changed the battery and at 5 am started to beep again. The morning front desk woman who worked on 6/28 and 6/29 was borderline rude, indiferente, and not helpful. I had a headache and was tired from the beeping and she did not offer any solution or compensation. The rest of the staff was friendly and attentive. One downside for me is the sent/aroma all around the place - cheap almost desinfectante like smell. I wish they used something appealing to the senses, something softer (check aromatherapy). read more

The Wood River Inn is a very nice hotel. It was clean and all their workers were wearing mask correctly. Also, they have hand santizer and clean pens at the front desk which is nice right now with Covid all around. The hotel room had a nice front room great for leaving skis, a bike, fishing stuff etc... The next room had a huge king size bed. Overall, the staff was great and the room was clean. It is not the nicest hotel room but perfect for the price. read more

I got to say, for the price you pay, you get a great deal at this hotel. It's clean, the front desk is friendly, and you can truly tell that management gives a you know what about their customers. Free ice cream in the afternoon, free water and tea, lots of pool supplies to play around with and lounge area near the pool, free water in the mini fridge-all in a cute small town that is super walkable. I will definitely stay here again if I am ever in town. read more

We stayed at Wood River Inn for a wedding event. This place is fantastic...Clean, spacious rooms...within walking distance of almost everything in the town of Hailey. The Inn also has free bike rental, so you can wander the beautiful scenic area. We did come in the so called "off season" so the rates were excellent! I would recommend the place to everyone traveling to the Sun Valley area. read more

Had a wonderful visit there! The rooms were clean and comfortable, but it was the staff that made it great! Abby and Debra at the front desk were knowledgeable and helpful. Even though we came with quite a large group, we were all checked in promptly and were well taken care of. They were friendly and I honestly felt like I'd made real friends by the time I left. The breakfast options were wonderful and filling with so many great things and, once again, a pleasant and friendly staff. I stayed here for 6 days and LOVED it!!! I loved my bed. I loved the breakfast, it's fantastic with many options! I loved the coffee. I loved the staff, they are very kind and friendly. Especially this morning, the woman overseeing breakfast, Allie. She was especially wonderful and helpful. I appreciate her and the team at Wood River inn and suites very much. Abby, the other woman at the front with tattoos on her arm-so kind, plus the housekeeping women and Jackie. Thank you for a lovely experience. I love the location, I could walk to healthy market across the street and many options for food-lunch or dinner surrounding me. The gym is simple and straight forward, i loved my time in there was well. It's peaceful and stunning here with mountains surrounding you on both sides. The Wood River Inn & Suites has been remarkable. The water is so clean you can drink out of the faucets. I will be back for a peaceful getaway. I loved everything about my stay and visit. We only spent one night here, based on that night we would not hesitate to stay again. This hotel was nicely appointed/updated, and the breakfast was very good with a great selection. One of our favorite parts was the chess, checkers, and tic-tac toe games in the lobby. We had our grandsons with us and enjoyed some great games. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the man that checked us in that evening. He made sure to tell us they had free ice cream that evening, as we were on our way out to find a place to eat. read more

It has been a trying and adventurous few weeks. Been out of our home now for almost a month. The Caldor Fire caused us to evacuate our home in Pollock Pines for almost two weeks, before we had a scheduled Yellowstone and Grand Teton vacation ... so we have been in a lot of hotels lately. For value & comfort this lodging has been our favorite. It obviously stays updated and is a bit techie ... I did need help with the Roku TV. The room is spacious with the largest TV I have ever seen in a hotel room. The keuric coffee maker comes with a wide assortment of coffee pods and green tea! The rooms are very comfortable, and the service is friendly, but what really made this hotel stand out for me was the small amenities. Here is a list of the details I especially liked: Our room had: Enough outlets to charge multiple devices A really great blow drier A yoga mat and resistance bands High quality coffee Free bottled water The hotel had: Free ice cream in the lobby every afternoon Bike rentals at no charge A complimentary breakfast with a lot of great options. Room & Suite Was here for a conference and it did not disappoint! I was lucky enough to have a jacuzzi suite to relax in after a full day of presenting. The bed was nice, I love a crisp white sheet duvet! The FREE Internet was fast and reliable. I even got to hook up my travel Roku stick to watch Netflix and Acorn Media in my room. The flat screen TV had 4 HDMI outlets in the back and with free Internet setting up the network took a min! The view of the mountains from the window was great, AC & fan worked well, I didn't use the small sitting room part of the suite but I did appreciate the small fridge and the single Keurig. I wish I had known that ahead of time - I would have brought my fav REVV K-Cups! Maybe all the rooms don't have a Keurigs, because the website description says features "Coffee Makers." Jacuzzi Tub In a tiled corner of the bedroom was an older jacuzzi tub. It took forever to fill up & a few min to figure out how to get it going. Still though, it was relaxing and a great addition to the room and I used it every night! Ahhhh! FREE Breakfast Not quite an Embassy Suites breakfast, no breakfast meats per se, biscuits & gravy, assorted cereals, and a fun pancake machine! I love those! Push a button, go get coffee & 2 min later two little fresh pancakes. Like magic! That plus a bit of fruit was all I needed! But No Dining I did miss having the convenience of a hotel restaurant and bar. It's been a while staying at a property that didn't have those amenities on site. I was SHOCKED at the prices at the restaurants around Hailey and Ketchum. Prices are Cha Ching! I mean, I live in the DC Metro area which isn't cheap, but these were like NYC prices! Buggy? The room was nice, though I was surprised to find a small black Elder Bush bug (identified by the management once I killed it and brought it down in a wad of tissue after I found a second one - see picture) on the duvet upon check in. I always check for bed bugs and this didn't look like one, but still. No one likes bugs of ANY kind in their hotel room, right? Final Thoughts This was a super nice hotel to visit in this pricey resort area, set among the gorgeous mountains of Idaho. It was my first visit to this state and I was awed by its natural beauty. There was even a Moose sighting early one morning crossing the street right outside the hotel! How cool is that? No Moose in Maryland! LOL I would come back to Idaho in a min! But, it would be nice to stay at a full resort with a restaurant, bar, gift shop, & spa. read more

I was on a long road trip with my dog Anja, visiting a friend and the Wood River Inn seemed like a promising place to stay. When I made the reservation, the woman was SO friendly and helpful I knew I had made the right choice. My first floor room was huge. The decor modern without being cold. The bed was VERY comfortable. The shower had amazing water pressure and nice soaps, the towels were thick and soft. The hotel's location on the main street made it a good choice as a base of operations for this trip. There were plenty of place to eat lunch and dinner within walking distance. There is also a lovely market right across the street. There is a full breakfast every morning. The eggs are real and not the powdered eggs many chains are using. There was bacon or sausage every morning, and lots of other choices. I loved the commercial toaster for it's speed, especially when the dining room got a little busy. Smart! There is water and a flavored drink throughout the day. Coffee in room. Ice cream in the early evening. Bikes were available for use and there was a rack of suggested hikes next to the front door - very nice! The only downsides were the narrow parking slots, and the noisy room air conditioning. Thankfully it was cool enough at night to leave the window open a bit. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and make me feel welcome. I miss the place already. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Decent place to stay near Sun Valley that doesn't cost an absolute fortune. I like the free WiFi and breakfast spread (not the most amazing breakfast, but nice to have some basics). Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows and acceptable bedding. I noticed a bit of fraying around the edges and thought this place has the potential to turn into a piece of crap if the owners don't tighten things up a bit over the next few years...time will tell. read more

Got to this hotel because they accepted pets. Although, I wasn't told over the phone that there was a pet charge. That was a surprise when I got my bill for $172 for a one-night stay at the inn. I can't be sure, because I don't remember, but I think the room was more money than I was initially told over the phone too. The room itself was nice. It was really, really big which was great for our dog and our 1.5 yr old with our pac n play. Parking was good, and I really didn't have any issues with the room. AC worked great for the summer months. But the staff and management there were a complete pain. I got hassled when I wanted a few extra towels for our room. Had to fill out a form, like I was checking them out. And when I questioned the pet fee while checking out, the woman I spoke with was really snotty to me. And just wasn't impressed at all with any of the other staff that I interacted with. The room was great for our family, staff lame. read more

Nice people, very nice rooms, good breakfast. But! Fox "News" on the TV during breakfast. Ruined my first one. The second day I asked them to turn it off, and they did. But poor consideration for their guests to have it on a right wing propaganda station. Not everyone wants to listen to Republican lies at breakfast. I might stay here again, and just be prepared to ask them to turn off the TV, though I am reluctant to support trump supported businesses. read more

Stayed here for 3 nights in September. If you are a noise sensitive person this place is not for you. The walls to the rooms are paper thin. You can hear the person in the next room..taking a shower, flushing a toilet or listening to the tv. Also, there isn't any housekeeping service. You have to put your trash out each day from 10 am to 1 pm. Any housekeeping items such as towels you have to call the front desk. If I come back to the area I will be looking for another hotel. read more

Extra nice stay with my dog. I travel with animals frequently and usually that means that we get the lousy room by the ice machine, the stairs or loud drunk people. We had a lovely room near the front desk. It was nice and quiet and very friendly staff. I think this used to be some larger chain, now an independent. Either way it was a pleasant place to stay our first night in Idaho. It is very near the Hailey airport so we elected to stay here this night before venturing up to Sawtooth National Forest and our condo in Ketchum for the 2 day visit to the area. This hotel has a nice pool and gym as well as clean comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was a particularly pleasant surprise, the usual continental fare was on offer but they also had fresh strawberries. I don't know if that is routine or a year round phenomenon but it was a very welcome addition. They have an interesting pancake making machine...the pancakes themselves are nothing particularly special but still kind of a cool device. read more

WATCH YOUR VALUABLES!! Don't leave anything in your room unattended you wouldn't mind vanishing! It started out as a normal stay. Im constantly traveling for work and hotels are more common than home. Checked in on a Wednesday, out on Friday for the weekend and back Monday. The hotel staff found something of mine I had left in my room and placed it in lost and found. From Friday night to Monday my $300.00 bluetooth speaker had found a new home. I spend 2 months and countless time sending emails and making phone calls to 'management' with no resolve. We spent thousands during our nearly month long stay. If you consider staying here, leave anything of value locked in your trunk! read more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and if you looking for a place to stay that is clean, has a free continental breakfast, and is a good value for the area, then this is the place. The room is a little dated, but I did not mind as it was clean and that is more important to me. The pool and spa were well maintained and towels were provided. There is an Albertson's, a movie theater, and quite a few restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Clean and decently updated. They allowed us to check in a little early, which was a huge plus. Pretty much all the other positives mentioned in the other reviews here. Toiletries, coffee, ice cream, yada yada. 2 negatives: if you are even remotely sensitive to chemical smells, do not stay here. They use some sort of STRONG cleaning agent/deodorizer. It is throughout the whole hotel. The breakfast was terrible. We got there at 8:45, to a very busy- and filthy- dining area. The pastries were low quality, the fruit tray (cantelope, honeydew amd pineapple) had 4 small pieces of fruit left on it, and was never refilled until 9:25, when they finally brought out a few extra pieces to last through the 9:30 cutoff. They were out of clean plates and cups. They're doing themselves quite a disservice, because they had a decent egg/potato/sausage option. Proper staffing and better quality would make this a much more desirable breakfast. read more

We loved our stay here. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, the hotel and room was very clean and the breakfast was actually good. But it was the little details that made the difference for us, especially when compared to other hotels we've stayed in. There were minor things like the plunger in the bathroom and the metal ice buckets and fun things like the inflatable toys and noodles for the pool as well as pleasant surprises like full size pool towels and biscuits and gravy with eggs and fresh pico de gallo for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again if we come to this area. read more
