The outedoor ice rink near the pool are luxurious. A racquet center with tennis & pickleball courts was busy. Bike rentals & horseback riding were popular. There are many dining & shopping options at various price points, however nothing here is a bargain. I did find beautiful unique gifts in the shops. The mountaintop dining options are closed for the season. Marilyn Monroe, James Earl Jones, Tom Hanks, Ernest Hemingway, Rosa Parks, Tony Curtis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Lucas, Candice Berger ... all stayed here & have fun photos in the lodge.

When I arrived at the lodge, I couldn't find a single employee to help me. After locating my room, I couldn't find the light switch and had to use the flashlight on my cell phone just to get inside. Once I got in, I discovered the room light was burned out. The hallway light was also out, forcing me to use my phone flashlight whenever I walked through the hall. Throughout my stay, I tried to find staff to report these issues, but no one was available. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service made for a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here based on my experience.

We stayed during ski season and here are the things I was most happy with (in no particular order): * The said it was a continental breakfast so I wasn't expecting all they offered like fresh local bagels and pastries, fresh berries, cut up pineapple, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, a very high quality granola, oatmeal with all the fixings, a pancake machine, juices, coffees with syrups and milks, lots of high quality tea choices, scrabbled eggs allow and with some mix-ins sometimes cheese or veggie, hard boiled eggs, meat like bacon sausage patties or links, sometime or potato like hash brown patties or shedded hash browns, roasted veggies, and on the weekend days they offered salmon with capers and onions. Plus flavored yogurts in individual containers and whole fruit like apples, oranges, and bananas. * humidifiers in the room. The hotel is so dry. We live at elevation in Park City, UT but Ketchum is drier! We ran the humidifier on high constantly but it was so great they offered this in the room. * they have a parking garage. It is $30/day AND there are easy access free spots around the hotel, but I imagine during peak season the offered parking is best. And it's covered so your car will be snow-free! * the heated pool for year round enjoyment (and two hot tubs). The air was too cold for my liking (because you have to get out eventually). * pretty decent gym with peloton bikes. * oh and the restaurant happy hour seems to be a hit with hotel guests and locals. The one huge downside was because it's so dry and they don't have a humidifier installed for the hotel, we got static shocked every time we touched the elevator buttons or unlocking our room. And it hurt! And when you're in town, I recommend the city museum, the wolf museum, the library, and the cemetery. And if the pedestrian paths are snow-free then head down Sun Valley Road.

The small rooms were average hotel fare with dated carpeting and decor. And the cost was too much for the lack of quality including unprofessional help, no valet for parking or bags. They just seem like a cheap hotel chain that doesn't care. Did I mention that it was empty at the height of the summer season. Should have been a clue.

The last guest was in Mid February, so the bath heater and lights were running 24h for about 3 months , and nobody from the MVP noticed anything as per they contract , they check properties every week. we were charged $275 for the fall maintenance, although they did not have any guest booking yet , and when we came multiple lights were burned and our electricity bill for three months was higher for $100 a month. We contacted them as soon we arrived and try to book the appointment to discuss about this. We managed to get an appointment after few days , and the owner Rachel took the notes. I had to contact her after 5 days to follow up. I got the email the next day , and to my surprise, she found after talking to her husband and stuff the only thing they will do is about the towels. so we were charged for the maintenance and found all the stuff above non acceptable, that we have to pay extra $300 for the electricity bill , to buy new smoke alarm and install, buy the lights bulbs and change them , buy the new shampoo/ conditioners that they misplaced . we got the answer from her that we as a owner need to take care of the house ??? I thought we hired the management company!! we are so disappointed that we find that MVP was totally negligent and unprofessional regarding to resolve the issues created by their team. even the payment from only one booking that they managed, came less than what we were notified by mail that we will receive. but they came with some expense excuse, and also when I requested the list of the things that were done during the fall maintenance ( they charge $275) , was not provided, they just ignored the request. this is a just my experience as a owner who hired MVP to manage our home for rental.
