It was a pleasure working with the entire Woodcliff team. We remodeled a house down to the studs, converted a garage to an additional bed/bath and permitted an ADU. The most important things to me are clear/frequent communication, well organized and high quality - they nailed every aspect. The design recommendations were right on point. Once permits were obtained, the project stays on schedule. Use of Buildertrend let me see the entire schedule so I knew what subs were working and when and I could see frequent photo updates (my renovation was 40 miles from where I was living, so I couldn't be there most days.) I am a super detailed person so I appreciated the fact that Woodcliff readily strives to make the results perfect. The team operates with high integrity and everyone is always easily reachable for any discussion or questions. Renovating can be stressful, but this was overall an enjoyable experience. read more

I can confidently recommend Woodcliff Builders after going through a large remodel that included added square footage and ripping our home down to studs. From the in-house design that helped us come up with multiple floor plan options to the material selection and then the budget and permit process, everything was handled by the Woodcliff team to confidently hit the ground running once we received approval from the city. During construction, we got regular updates from the team via the Buildertrend app, which also included progress pictures. Our PM welcomed my frequent visits and used the time to talk through some of the finer decisions to ensure we were on the same page. Whether we had small changes requested or there were minor issues or tradeoffs, the Woodcliff team was always open with us and in the end provided solutions that's were even better than the original design. I truly felt that they were focused on our happiness and were flexible, not looking to nickel and dime us. Our project was delivered on budget and very close to the estimated time, which was impressive given the amount of rain we had at the start. After we moved back in Woodcliff was very responsive addressing a couple minor items and even took professional photos, which we got copies of. These projects are exciting, but can be stressful. Having Woodcliff to guide us through the process made it much easier. We love our new home! read more

We wasted 5 month and a ton of money with them to design out house, and got nothing useful. We received some floor plans, not architect drawings, only to find out they failed to check some very basic code requirements and the survey results done by people they hired themselves! Those floor plans are useless, because the county would just say no to them. Before they got our deposit money, they seemed pretty optimistic about our scope and budget requirements and said "completely doable". After they get us to pay the deposit, they told us to significantly shrink our scope otherwise we would end up with twice as much the budget they originally promised us on. They also immediately charged us architecture fee when we only met the architecture company once and nothing was produced by those folks the whole time. Even when we ended the contract, there's zero output from the architect. We literally got a bunch of floor plans which did not comply with a lot of code requirements and the concepts were simply not applicable to us. We had to redo everything with another architect. At the end, of course they refused to give us a penny back. If you trust yourself with all the expertise in design and construction and just want someone to spend your money with no limit, hire them. If you are like us, hiring a design to build company with the hope of them doing some basic due diligence and help you avoid some pitfalls and money wasting, STAY AWAY!! read more

I have had four different projects at separate times on our home. Some small, some rather large, from re-modeling the master bathroom, to a full add on of square feet and new kitchen. The last project we undertook was for a new remodeled updated laundry room, guest bathroom and family room. We had the great fortune of selecting Woodcliff Builders for this last project and are so very pleased we did. Our initial point of contact was John Fritze. From the outset, he showed us how his company was open, friendly, and very energetic. Starting from our initial idea of the scope of the work to be done, to the design team and office staff, like Nina, they were very approachable and helpful. More than anyone we used in the past. Always professional yet taking a personal approach to our project. The design team with Alex put time into learning what we liked, materials, colors and put together some great options for us to choose from. Making sure we would be satisfied with the end result. Plus saving time by ordering material ahead of time so they were sure to be available and ready to put in when needed. Once we signed the contract it was not a thank you and good luck. Woodcliff kept involved. At each step of the process, Woodcliff would continue to give us input on our ideas, both in ways that would make our home more efficient and modern. Best of all not all the ideas given would cost more or take more time. Some actually saved us a little of both. Our lead person was Tony. I could not ask for anyone better to manage our project. He showed up on site 98% of the time to keep track of progress and make sure things were done properly. His attention to detail was amazing. A lot of things he saw and made perfect were things I would never notice. His energy and bright upbeat personality made the job go by so much faster. The subcontractors they used were on time, efficient, hard workers and very skilled. I credit that to Woodcliff personnel that kept the schedule tight and on course. Best of all was the open communication at all levels if there were any questions or concerns. They would respond timely and be upfront as to any issues that needed to be addressed. Allowing us to make informed decisions. I give Woodcliff an A+ rating and highly recommend them based on our experience. They are our first call with any further projects we have in mind. read more

We used Woodcliff builders (Joey Kochanski) to do our kitchen remodel in February/March of 2016. Joey and his crew were great. My wife stays at home with our kids, and was very comfortable with Joey's two main workers - Alfonso and Abraham - working in our house. They were friendly, professional, did great work, and were thorough in their clean up. Specifically they demo'd our previous kitchen while keeping the cabinets and countertops in tact so that I was able to sell them. They installed our custom cabinets, re-plumbed our island, and did pretty extensive electrical work to install under cabinet lights, new ceiling can lights, and move some outlets. There were a couple small things we wanted to be tweaked - I have a terrible eye for detail - and Joey was very understanding and came back out in short notice to fix to our liking. I shopped around to a few different contractors, and was very happy with the quality of work, responsiveness, cleanliness, flexibility, and fair prices of Woodcliff Builders. read more

Woodcliff is AMAZING!!!! My parents have been using them for years, but what made them really stand out was the way they helped make our wedding venue more personal. They blew it out of the water!!!
