They have a suite of choices both for the structural design, but also for nearly every aspect you could want. We even made some modifications ourselves that fit our needs and they were more than accommodating. We ended with a project plan we were fully behind and excited to see to completion. The team at Acton showed themselves to be high level communicators. They anticipated questions, gave frequent updates, and took the time necessary to answer all of our questions throughout. They also utilized an app called Buildertrend that gave us daily updates, calendars, photos, invoices, and any other information we could need from the project. It worked well and keep us constantly in the loop. One of the most daunting aspects of building an ADU is understanding and correctly following all of the permit requirements. Acton ADU handled all of that as part of the build. They know the codes and how to best expedite processes toward a positive conclusion. Acton even has pre-approved building plans that can be approved in a couple weeks rather than several months, which is one thing that drew us to their company in the first place. I have used Case as a handyman for years and the results have generally been quite good. But a few years back I used them for an interior bathroom remodel. The bathroom looked good when it was done, but a few years later when I did a kitchen remodel with a different contractor, they had to do some work on the adjoining bathroom to accommodate new plumbing and electrical for the kitchen. That process uncovered all of the corners that were cut by Case in the bathroom remodel. Plumbing was not routed correctly (which explained why sometimes the shower drain would inexplicably back up), the electrical was not properly grounded, and there were a ton of sloppy fit and finish issues. So again I'd use Case for small things, but for an actual remodel, there are better options out there.

This included a 3D designer, and a mobile showroom that came to the house so I could choose all the fun stuff. Everyone is so nice and comfortable to talk to about design and pricing. In addition, the crew and foremans were very helpful in explaining what they were doing throughout the enire projects. As for the kitchen: we had a dishwasher go bad and it leaked water all over including out the back of the house!! Well....perfect time to have Shefer Builder renovate the kitchen!! What a continued blessing to have the crews come back again and help in such a fine way. I have always loved cooking and baking but even more so now with my beautifully desinged, perfectly crafted and functional kitchen!!
