June 1 after exploratory foxtail removal

We have been bringing our Golden Retriever to Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic since April 2024, and unfortunately, our experiences over the last two years have left us questioning the quality and consistency of care. At Broc's first puppy appointment, the clinic wanted to administer vaccines he had already received through the breeder's veterinarian simply because they had not personally given them. Thankfully, we had records to avoid unnecessary vaccinations. Last year, I brought Broc in because he had abnormal discharge. Instead of addressing the issue, the veterinarian focused on criticizing the fact that he had not been neutered and told me the discharge was normal because he was intact. When I brought him back on April 6, 2025, a different veterinarian diagnosed an infection and prescribed medication that cleared the problem. I explained that I had previously brought him in for the exact same concern and had been told it was simply because he wasn't neutered. The most frustrating experience began on June 1, 2026. I brought Broc in for his Cytopoint injection and mentioned a bump between his toes. It turned out to be a foxtail. He was sedated for an exploratory procedure, but the foxtail was never found. I was sent home with antibiotics and only received pain medication because I specifically requested it. I was instructed to return multiple times for bandage changes and wound checks. At my June 8 appointment, scheduled for 1 PM, Broc was taken to the back immediately, and I was told I could come back at 4 or 5 PM to pick him up. I was repeatedly encouraged to leave because they were short staffed, and when I questioned why a bandage change would take four to five hours, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff. I even offered to bring him back later so he wouldn't have to sit in a kennel all afternoon, but I was told I couldn't because his bandage had already been removed. After insisting on staying, I was finally shown his paw and learned he had developed two draining tracts. The same veterinarian who performed the original procedure continued to see him through June 13 and told us his paw was improving. We chose to continue wrapping it rather than using a cone and were instructed to return again on June 17. At that appointment, a different veterinarian examined Broc and told us his paw was "severely infected" and recommended either a third round of antibiotics or another sedated exploratory procedure. Hearing that his condition was severe just four days after being told he was improving was alarming and left us with very little confidence in the consistency of care being provided. While some of the veterinary technicians have been incredibly kind and compassionate, others have made us feel like our concerns were an inconvenience. After multiple questionable experiences, inconsistent medical opinions, and feeling unheard as pet owners, I no longer feel confident that my dog is receiving the quality of care he deserves. Today, we sought a second opinion from a new veterinarian. After examining our dogs paw, reviewing his records, and evaluating his progress, they told us his paw was healing appropriately and that they did not feel another exploratory procedure was necessary at this time. That confirmation gave us peace of mind and reinforced our decision to seek care elsewhere.

Woodcrest Vet has been one of my favorite vets to go to for my animals. Yesterday I had to take my Charlie boy in for an ear infection. Charlie was being extremely difficult as he does not like strangers. They had to sedate my dog in order to clean his ears out and give him a shot. Even though Charlie was not being a good boy for them, they took their time with Charlie. A big shout out for Flora the tech, they she was great with Charlie. I would highly recommend this vet for all your animals.

READ UPDATE AFTER THIS! Took my 7 year old cat Mamas yesterday for a mammary gland tumor mass removal and everything went well. The doctor was very transparent and explained the procedure very thoroughly. Now Im hoping for a full recovery. Stitching is to be removed in 2 weeks and I will update this review if anything changes. UPDATE: After spending over $2500 at Woodcrest I would expect more. I went to get my cats stitches removed 2 weeks post surgery. They informed me that her tumors were growing back after only taking her back for 5 minutes. They sent me home by telling me they couldn't do anything about her condition (stage 3 cancer) which I understand but her surgery incision was not fully healed because according to them her cancerous skin would not heal well. My concern is that they still took out the stitches without prescribing antibiotics and almost no more advice for what I should do. I had to practically ask about everything, usually I expect experts to explain next steps especially for something so big if they are professional or even care about their patients. I felt very rushed, confused and emotionally distraught. There was no talk about a follow up appointment or advice on what I should do next, just a receipt. I went to another veterinary for a second opinion and they were disappointed that this clinic practically pushed me out the door and they were even appalled that they would send me home without antibiotics. She has an infection now that was completely preventable. At first I was very happy with the service here but I am disappointed on the lack of support and commitment towards their patients. Pets are more than just animals to owners they are part of the family. Just because my cat has terminal cancer and an estimated life expectancy doesn't mean she and me deserve to be discarded like that.

Over a week ago, my sister and I were at Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic because our dog was very ill. We had to make the hardest decision and put her to sleep. The staff was sooo great.. they were so patient, so empathetic. We never felt rushed. The vet explained everything very clearly. I regretted so much not being able to take home her little paw print to remember my baby with. Today I opened my mail and I received a personalized letter with her stamp of her paw print and little nose. Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic , thank you so much for being there for my girl on more than one occasion. And a very special thank you to Flora. Thank you for taking care of all of us during our hardest time

My husband and I drive from San Bernardino to this vet because we absolutely love them! We have an English Bulldog who is always in need of attention due to his allergies. Dr. Saini & Dr. Pawar have helped us tremendously with our bulldog when it came to his allergies and his Cherry eye removal surgery. The front desk ladies are wonderful and treat my bulldog with so much love and care. - when it is check up time, the vet and vet technicians always pay close attention to our boy! As for waits, we have never have an issue. We are typically seen maybe 5-10 minutes after check in? PLUS we have had emergencies or needed to see a vet quickly (like within a few days) and they always have availability where as other vets had wait times for a couple weeks out for a simple check up. - all in all, Woodcrest Vet is an amazing clinic for your animals. Never once had a problem and also love their payment plan!! Nothing but wonderful things to say.

Have swollen red eyes thank you Dr. Mann for fixing him up

Headline: Life-Threatening Negligence and Fraudulent Charting - Do Not Trust This Clinic…read moreI am writing this as a medical professional who had to perform my own clinical audit to save my dog from this office's incompetence. My dog, Twinkie, was failed by Dr. Mean and her staff on multiple levels: 1. Fraudulent Documentation & Lack of Physical Exam: The records claim Dr. Mean performed a heart exam on Twinkie. This is a blatant lie; she never even touched my dog. Furthermore, a covering vet performed a suture removal but failed to document any of the clinical concerns we raised. Vitals that were taken by a tech on an intake form were never entered into the formal medical record. 2. Misdiagnosis & Dangerous Over-Medication: Despite Twinkie showing clear signs of anaphylaxis right in front of the staff, they "shrugged it off" and insisted she was having syncope (fainting) due to heart failure. Without proper diagnostics, they jumped straight to a heavy cocktail of Enalapril and Vetmedin and Furosemide. 3. Intentional Withholding of Records: I believe this office intentionally stalled sending my records to the cardiologist. Once they realized a specialist would be reviewing their "work," they likely realized they had jumped the gun. Because they failed to provide the records, I had to act as my own investigator. 4. The Proof is in the Recovery: After connecting the dots myself, I realized the Enalapril was dropping her blood pressure below baseline and the Furosemide was dangerously dehydrating her. I made the clinical decision to stop the medications. Within 24 hours of being off their "treatment," Twinkie was back to her old self--active and barking. A subsequent exam by a different, competent veterinarian confirmed she is healthy, her heart is fine, and she never needed the medication. Final Word: If I hadn't used my own medical background to challenge their narrative, their "treatment" for a non-existent heart condition would have killed my dog. Their clinical notes are vague, their charting is dishonest, and their diagnostic skills are non-existent. Go elsewhere.

She took her back, and they prescribed steroids, but they didn't help. She returned, expressing her frustration, and by this point, she was desperate to find a solution for her puppy's condition. Instead of collaborating with her and potentially suggesting some ideas, the doctor seemed uninterested in understanding the issue. When my daughter asked him what they could try, all he could say was, "Well, you can." He offered no suggestions whatsoever. My daughter even suggested a biopsy, which he had recommended during the previous appointment, and suddenly, it was "well, we can." Naturally concerned about her dog's well-being, my daughter returned, and they prescribed her Metoclopramide. However, this made her worse. She became lethargic, refused to eat, and slept excessively, acting completely different from her usual self. Instead of trying to diagnose the problem, they seemed more interested in masking the symptoms. As a result, we still don't know what's wrong with her. I believe that when they see my daughter, they perceive her as a young child, which is why they treated her differently. I would strongly advise against visiting this vet. These veterinarians don't care about the animals or their owners; they're just there to make money. They don't want to put in the effort to figure out what's wrong with the animals; they simply want everything to be easy. I feel that since they couldn't figure it out, they didn't want to deal with it anymore. The last visit, my daughter also asked if she would still be able to be spayed even though she's been vomiting. The vet proceeded to tell her yes, she doesn't have to tell them that she's vomiting.
