I have never been so disappointed with a veterinarian. I scheduled an appointment because I saw the $25 first-time new patient promotion. The veterinary technician was wonderful--she was kind, listened to my concerns, and assured me she would let the veterinarian know that I suspected my 12-year-old Yorkie might have a collapsed trachea. When the veterinarian, Dr. Kim, came in, the exam lasted less than a minute. He didn't examine my dog's throat, listen to the area I was specifically concerned about, or perform what I felt was even a basic physical examination focused on her symptoms. Instead, he immediately recommended blood work and X-rays. I understand that X-rays and lab work can be important for diagnosing certain conditions, and I wasn't expecting a diagnosis without testing. However, I did expect a thorough physical exam before being told I needed additional tests. It felt like my concerns weren't taken seriously. The veterinary technician was excellent, but my experience with the veterinarian was extremely disappointing. As a first-time client, I left feeling unheard and wondering if the discounted new-patient promotion affected the level of care I received. I hope that's not the case, but that is honestly how my visit made me feel. read more

Just got my Diva ZIvas Teeth cleaned after a scheduled check up appt with Dr Estrada (who actually sat on the floor with my dog to play/examine her!!! And my girl is very picky who she likes and she LOVES Dr Estrada!) As a 40 year RN, I was nervous about her going under anesthesia....due to her size...We were so pleased to see the love and attention they all gave and we were kept informed throughout the day! So I called the same day for an urgent appt for my dog Mac and let me just say I'm very very thankful for this office. From start to finish. The moment I called and spoke to the receptionist, went to the clinic and my dog was seen by the vet, it was great. The girls were super friendly, helpful and sweet. The vet was nice and caring and was honest . I'm so thankful they were able to get me in the same day and accommodate me along with prescriptions. I never write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst vet experiences I have had. When we first got there, the clinic honestly looked closed because the windows were covered with wood panels, and it looked run down, but I put that aside because my 12 year old dog needed help. What really disappointed me was the way Dr. Debbie Estrada treated us. She never introduced herself, and from the beginning she seemed rude and judgmental. I felt like she was assuming I had neglected my dog instead of trying to understand the situation. I obviously cared for him if I brought him in. She sighed several times during the appointment and her tone made me feel like we were an inconvenience. The hardest part was discussing euthanasia. I knew it was the right decision for my dog, but it was also the most heartbreaking decision I've ever had to make. She showed no compassion or comfort during the process, her nor any staff member ever gave a simple, "I'm sorry for your loss." On top of that, they tried to charge me $47 for the first exam even though their website clearly says first-time visits are $25. They corrected it after I mentioned it, but no one apologized or acknowledged it after. Compassion would have went a long way, and it's something we needed during this difficult time. Given that it is a vet hospital, we just expected professionalism and respect. I would have gone elsewhere if I had a little more time with my dog, but I put him first throughout this whole experience because he really needed it. read more

Horrible service! The vet that spent 2 minutes with my dog was hard to understand, lacked any compassion for my pup and didn't even ask question. I took my cat in about two weeks ago for an infection and an open wound. I wasn't aware that he had been bitten at the end of his tail. Even though I called late the night before, they were able to get us an appointment the very next morning. My cat ended up needing stitches, and thankfully the cost was very affordable. My experience with the staff was excellent. Everyone was kind, helpful, professional, and respectful. The facility is clean and well organized. Even during aftercare, they were very supportive--any questions I had were addressed, and the vet reached out to me the same day despite being in surgery. I highly recommend this place and will definitely continue coming here in the future. read more

I needed a second opinion for my dog's weight loss issues, and Dr. Estrada was recommended to me by our family members who take their beloved fur babies to RAH. I was able to get a quick appointment, the front office staff and techs were amazing, and Dr. Estrada did such a thorough evaluation of my dog, including some additional tests that weren't done by our other vet. I am in the human healthcare field so I do "speak" lab abnormalities and imaging, etc, and she didn't talk to me like I was an idiot like our previous vet. I left feeling like we are on the right track to getting to the root cause of this problem, and not left stranded on an island like our other experience. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Estrada and RAH. I would have to give Riverside Animal Hospital 5/5! They were great to our puppy, which is a big puppy and not yet trained they are patient. I appreciate the thorough and knowledgeable analysis of my cat that needed to have a deep abcess removed right aShe's recovering ‍ and doing better. Still zero stars. The owner's response was disappointing and left out the most important facts: they completely cleared the X-ray and they never once mentioned an ultrasound or referred us anywhere to get one. No follow-up call, no urgency, and no real concern. Meanwhile, our dog was in pain with a foreign object in his intestines that the emergency vet spotted right away. The staff also allowed an off-leash dog to get in our sick puppy's face and did nothing. Owner did not address that at all! We spent a fortune for no answers. Terrible experience. I'll be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this place. The owners reply did not address all of our concerns. Ultimately, we declined two things that didn't address what was going on on and over the phone the vet wasn't concerned with blood work or pancreatic test. They were upset with us getting the x-rays sent elsewhere and that's that. Don't go here. Period. read more

My nine GSP puppies had their well-puppy check-ups consisting of weigh-ins, heartrate checks, and temperatures taken by a tech, followed by comprehensive exams done by Dr. Estrada looking for any abnormalities, illness, or poor condition. She always does a careful and thoughtful exam and writes a report for each puppy for its new home. I scheduled their wellness checks weeks ahead to be sure I could get an appointment, as I was sure if there were an issue with any of them, Dr. Estrada would find it. read more

For as busy as they are, I absolutely appreciate the efforts and consideration this staff has for me and my dogs. Debbie - my favorite receptionist whose always thoughtful and helpful. She's always so patient and happy to accommodate if necessary because she knows I drive so far away and for that I am beyond grateful. Megan is the sweetest vet tech, she's always happy to answer my questions and she goes the extra mile in any way she's able to. Oscar has always been so polite and my puppy, Vitani, knows his face most so she happily trots off with him when he comes out to take her back with him. Today I came in early to my appointment hoping to get in and he was so kind for postponing his lunch in order to get her ear taping done really quick. Thank you all for being so sweet & good to us! I highly not recommend taking your pet to Riverside Animal Hospital. Years ago this was a pet friendly, customer caring business. My family and I have always taken our pets there. All the way back to my grandparents. My last two experiences going there have been horrible. I got a new dog and decided to take him to Riverside Animal Hospital. The ladies at the front counter are really sweet and helpful. Once my dog and I got into a room, the veterinary doctor, Debbie Estrada, entered the room looked at me and never spoke. Her first question was, "is this your dog?" I replied, yes. Her next question was, "Where did you find it?" I said, excuse me? No, response from her. Her next question was,"Is he chipped?'. I replied, no, not yet. She picks my dog up, and proceeded to walk out of the room, and says, "I will be back" Before I could ask, where are you taking my dog, she was out of the room. When she returns, "She says, I guess he is not chipped, why are you here today?" I replied, "For his shots." She walks out the room and a different tech returns to administer the shots. My second visit on November 19, 2025, my dog was really sick, even though I was hesitant, I took him to Riverside Animal Hospital because they were the closest. Once again the ladies at the front desk were pleasant. They got me into a room fairly quickly and Debbie Estrada, once again enters the room looks at me and all but barely speaks. She looks at my dog on the floor and tries to get his attention by roughly pushing him as she is asking me what happened to him. I'm explaining while she is nudging and pushing my dog. She tells me, there is nothing she can do, and that I needed to take him to emergency. After my second bad experience with Riverside Animal Hospital, I will never return or recommend that Vet hospital or Debbie Estrada. read more

Dr. Debbie Estrada saw our 15-year-old senior cat recently. Lucky was in a crisis and badly needed help. Dr. Estrada agreed to fit Lucky into a packed schedule on an urgent care basis. She gave tests to assess what was needed and treated our kitty. I am so grateful for her professional and compassionate care. Lucky rallied, started eating, and is now ready to be further assessed if necessary. Crystal on the front desk, and everyone we met was eager to help. We give Dr. Debbie and staff our highest rating. this is my personal experience not to say anything negative about this place but i've never left that place happy with any of my pets. is always something else something wrong no matter why i took them there to begin with. one of my pets when in to surgery they left her tongue out for to long when she was under anesthesia that she was never was able to eat normal again and got so sick i had to put her down. i just took my dog there again i don't know why i did it again "all pets are different and they all get different reactions" that is the first thing she say ok lets see what can we do about it after a long talk she just didn't prescribe antibiotic my dog eye was full of discharge the infection was obvious but she decide to give me an ointment and some anti-inflammatory medicine end up getting my dog worse, the following day after many attempts she calls me at 5;30 pm to tell me she was getting ready to close and to bring him the following day to run some test. they only charge me 200 dlls for nothing that wasn't enough. i will never go back to this place antibiotic is all my dog needed but she say that maybe he had a tumor in his stomach because he had loose stool that morning and his stomach felt funny. the eye woman the eye that is the reason of about the reason of my visit not not tumor not diarrhea. they don't care about you or the pets if you havent walked out disappointed from that place you wait and see eventually you will. read more

Special thank you to Dr Estrada and her staff that assisted with Ira. Ira is a German Shepard who was brought in to the clinic for an ear infection. Touching Iras ears is not happening while she is awake lol. Dr Estrada and staff worked magic and wrestling moves (as gently as possible) to put Ira under full sedation to look at, clean and treat Iras infected ear. This is a pretty decent location. Receptionist and vet techs were all super nice girls and very engaging. you can tell they definitely love their job. Wait wasn't too bad i was seen right at my appointment time and when they brought us to the room it was probably another 15 mins before the vet saw us. Vet was VERY thorough. Although she seemed a bit removed socially you could tell she really knows her stuff. She was direct and too the point and very transparent on my dogs medical plan. read more

This place is horrible. They're full of a bunch of lazy and unprofessional staff who do not care for anything except the money. I took my puppy here because of a serious issue involving his health, with a series of throwing up, not eating or drinking anything, could barely walk, no energy. Seriously hurt and such a scary experience. The only thing they made sure of doing was getting there check. They were in no rush of helping my puppy or making sure he was okay. Without another hospitals help, our puppy would've been dead by today. While having our puppy at Riverside Animal Hospital they did nothing but give him a shot and tell us how much it would cost. These people are animal abusers and should not have the right or power of having control over an animals health. They are good for nothing and almost cost my animal his life. The pain and suffering this would've caused so many people is such a shame. These people working at this hospital are animal killers and I'm so unbelievably sick and upset with my experience. After this hospital we had the opportunity of finding another hospital which gave us an immediate answer which was an emergency surgery. Something Riverside Animal Hospital had no idea or interest about. This hospital is a joke and just such a waste of time. My puppy is now in recovery but could've been dead due to the neglectful behavior of this "hospital". read more

After searching and searching for a Doc who would be willing to crop my Dobermans ears I came across RAH. Everything I read in forums and on social media pointed to this hospital. Unfortunately for me at the time I called they were booked for 3 months. That is until they called me with a cancellation. Needless to say I jumped at the chance. Well, it's been a few weeks after the surgery and I have to say not only was the crop beautiful but the staff and their customer service was exceptional.
