We initially tried outpatient treatment, but his condition worsened and he ultimately needed to be hospitalized for three days. Dr. Saldana was incredibly educational, informative, and compassionate throughout the entire process, while also taking into consideration our dog's comorbidities and advanced age. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answer our questions, and help us feel informed during a very stressful experience. The entire staff was kind and attentive, and we always felt that our dog was in good hands. While he was hospitalized, I received text updates at least twice a day and a few photos which was comforting. Dr. Burgermeister showed an alarming lack of empathy from the moment he walked into the room. He could barely make eye contact, offered little to no compassion, and seemed visibly irritated whenever we asked reasonable questions about our options instead of immediately agreeing to spend nearly $5,000 on extensive treatments upfront. As grieving pet owners, we deserved honest answers and understanding--not impatience and dismissal. He also only spent a handful of minutes with our cat! After our decision was made to put down our cat and he administered the medication, I told him directly that he needed to show more empathy to families going through one of the worst moments of their lives. His response was to simply walk out of the room without saying a word. That level of disregard was shocking. What made this even more concerning was hearing from veterinary technicians at the hospital that complaints about his bedside manner are common. If this is a recurring issue, then management has chosen to tolerate it rather than address it. I am nine months pregnant, emotionally exhausted, and will never forget how cold and uncaring this experience was. Losing a pet is heartbreaking enough. No family should have to endure being treated like an inconvenience while making such a painful decision. To the owner and management of this practice: charging premium emergency prices comes with the responsibility of providing compassionate, professional care. Allowing this type of treatment to continue reflects poorly on your entire hospital. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this emergency clinic to anyone seeking kindness or support during one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership. read more

Love this vet. We have taken our dogs here for years. Then last June it was time to put our dogs down. Both were very sick and 15yo. We were not expecting it but after tests and long discussions the vet helped us decide. They were kind and patient and very gentle. And even sent us a card a few weeks later. I really appreciate this veterinary team. It's now a few months later and we have adopted two kittens which we will bring back as a new patients. This one is outrageous, every vet I have ever been to gives a breakdown of price and give us a copy they did not. Which I find so unprofessional, they take their time when it is A EMERGENCY. I'm surprised by the lower ratings before I came here. It's very clean, there is ample seating, and the vet (Dr. Koo) is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. What probably I don't like is the fact the entrance is confusing (it's in the back), but it make sense for an emergency place as you want good amount of parking since people are likely to stay long. Dr. Koo did his best to make sure my dog was comfortable since dogs are often fairly nervous at the vet. He gave my dog some time to adjust before doing the exam, and was able to note his upset stomach from physical inspection. He presented all the exams that he recommends but isn't necessarily too pushy if I wanted to have any removed. When no results showed a good cause for his vomiting and bloody diarrhea (which includes white blood cell counts, X-rays, and other blood tests), he gave his suggestions of issues and treatment plan to treat the symptoms until he feels better. As a microbio background and having seen bloodwork at ER even for my own where sometimes I look fine on paper but feel crappy, the outcome and explanation overall was not surprising since outside of vomiting and diarrhea, my dog was a super happy boy. He also explains how, outside of what I came in for, that my dog may develop arthritis in the future, which I felt was great because he didn't have to point it out given what the purpose of the visit was. It allows for me to address the issue early and considerations I need to plan for as my dog gets older. Overall I felt he was thorough and very clear in his explanation and suggestions without pushing more medications than he needs. Dr. Koo explained to a newbie pet owner like me about the symptoms and how more serious issues would evolve faster and my concerns like a stomach blockage from bones would not been possible. In addition, I didn't feel pressured about maintaining all the tests and treatment and was able to remove a treatment that I felt was probably unnecessary given my dog's overall good health. The injections he got overall stopped all the vomiting as well, and my dog seemed more energetic than going in, so I was quite happy with the overall result. He also recovered swiftly afterwards after only a couple of days on the meds. Thank you for existing so that I could rush my dog to be seen by a vet -- I was in such a panic to see blood in his diarrhea and no other hospitals were available. Although it could take a bit long, it's similar to how urgent care and ER operates, and a couple hours is far better than waiting 2 days for an appointment elsewhere. read more

They are not pushy at all and will only do what you feel is right for your pet. Cost is reviewed before they do anything and you are able to discuss and change any of the treatment plan. Please don't bring your pet here! Brought my cat because he wasn't able to pee. As a male cat is an emergency situation. We were not taken as an emergency. Paid the consultation in advance and let me tell you. That was not a consultation. The guy barely wanted to talk to us. Didn't explain a thing and when my boyfriend tried to ask the questions the "doctor" basically treated him like an idiot, without explaining anything. He said he was doing ok with barely touching/looking at him. Decided to go somewhere else, and as soon as i told them my cat was not able to pee, they took him to the back to make sure he wasn't obstructed, they made blood and urine tests and guess what? He has a lot of crystals in his urine. He might not be obstructed now, but without a treatment he would be and as a male cat owner, we know thats a life or death situation. read more

But once the main male Vet came in, he didn't take us serious one bit nor did the female nurse prior to the vet, they barely checked out our cat. Did not listen to our concerns! My dog was seriously ill, I called at 4 am and was told to NOT bring him to their animal emergency room. I called again at 5:30 am as he was getting worse and I feared he was dying. Again, I was told to NOT bring my dog in until 7. I was begging the receptionist (whomever answered the phone) crying and pleading she refused to let me bring him in. She was cold and heartless. This is the 2nd negative experience I have had with this so-called emergency vet. I will NEVER call or go to this place. They do not care about animals. I've used this Vet for emergencies and cremation services for several of our dogs. The staff and Vet are great. Each experience was the best and they are compassionate when it comes to our furbabies. They were not my primary Vet only because they are 35 mins away and I have a Vet down the street from my home. However given the last few experiences I've had with my primary Vet, I think I'll be making the drive from now on. I recently had an emergency and they took my dog in immediately. This is the worse place to come. From someone who works in customer service I appreciate the service provided. It's the job like or not. This place provides the worse customer service. They are passive aggressive, treat you like a transaction and no compassion whatsoever so ever. Took my dog in and resulted in surgery. I paid for 3/4 of total bill and was waiting for the rest to go through and asked if they could take my doggie back who was in pain and they said they could not until I paid in full. Took her back for follow up visit to remove drains and was given attitude by all three individuals at front desk. Genesis told her colleagues she got stuck at front when she should have been on back. I was right in front as she was assisting me when she said it so I replied she's stuck because of me. No response. She could have had the decency to wait until I left. When I finally walked out after 3 hours with my dog's medication on hand and I get call shortly after from Brianna telling I forgot medication. I explained I walked out with it. They have no clue what they are doing. I just hope my dog was not treated like I was. When I tried to speak to a supervisor they said I couldn't but if I had a complain would need to fill out a form. I witnessed a dog get hit by a car and rushed it to this clinic, hoping they'd show some compassion and get the poor animal the help it needed. I wasn't the owner, just someone trying to do the right thing. What I got instead was harassment, threats, and cold indifference. Rather than focusing on the injured dog, the staff immediately tried to pin financial responsibility on me. When I clarified that I wasn't the owner and was only acting as a Good Samaritan, they began implying that I was "abandoning" the dog, an accusation that was completely inappropriate. They continued to threaten reporting me and avoid care for the dog by putting the responsibility on me to find another clinic or call animal service. Mind you, this dog got hit by a car minutes ago, is bleeding out of her mouth, and laying on the floor. I ultimately had to tell them, "I brought this dog here to get help, what happens now is on you." I left heartbroken and disgusted, not just by the accident, but by how this clinic treated someone who was only trying to help. The way I was treated was uncalled for and left me questioning whether the dog would even be helped at all. It didn't stop there. One of the vet techs followed me outside and took photos of my car without my permission, as if I were a criminal. The whole experience was invasive, hostile, and completely unacceptable. I've never been so disgusted. A vet clinic that tries to dodge responsibility and interrogate someone trying to help an animal shouldn't be in business. If this is how they treat good Samaritans, imagine how they treat your pet when you're not looking. My only regret was not videotaping this experience to show the conduct of the staff and this facility of this particular incident. Absolutely shameful. read more

I did a search for Exotic veterinarians online and this one came up as a top recommendation in my area. I have a rabbit. I looked at the meet the staff section and they have a treatment supervisor who apparently has training and knowledge in the area. There are no descriptions on the website of what types of animals they don't treat. So I called for information to be sure and was told with attitude that they don't see rabbits. Which is fine, I understand. But maybe look into why your name comes up or ask me why I thought you did so you can clarify or take that information off the website. they dont care about your animals/pets health here this place is all about the money, "heartless" ****please dont go here with expectations that they care about your pets, here is the story of bumpy the sick french bulldogg, on august 29th 2025 i took bumpy to this hospital for help with abscess in his jaw, it was determined by the dr. that he had an abscess in his jaw and it got infected and the only course of treatment was emergency surgery to remove the blood from the infected area and was prescribed antibiotic, due to him being a frenchy he had to have surgery $4k, surgery went good and the antibiotics worked, bumpy was ok, now on friday 09/26/25 5pm i took bumpy back to the hospital to get the stiches removed and paid another $35 for post surgery check up, at that time they removed the stiches and everything seemed ok, on sunday morning at 7am the abscess had returned, so i called the hospital and told them the situations and how i was there a day prior and everything was ok and now since you guys removed the stiches everything is not ok, with the expectations thinking that the hospital would tell me to come back and honor the work they had preformed, mind you i had paid $4k for surgery and $35 each for 2 after care treatment, so i'm like yeah they are going to take care of him, nope boy was i wrong to my suprise they told me it would be $65 re-check fee to see him again mind you i had just paid $35 no less then 24 hours prior to this that friday the 26th, they had me upset, however i went along with it, the hospital checked bumpy out, and said we may have miss diagnosed the original issue and i only had 2 options pay another $200 for more anabiotics or pays $500 to do test to see if it cancer, i was like the area that we are having issue with is the same area i just paid $4k for, why wasn't the correct amount of antibiotics prescribed to me on the original trip and why wasn't the sample you original took prior to surgery checked for cancer then, they had no answer for me, i requested to speak with management however it was the weekend so i had to file a complaint and wait for a weekday , so i did, no one bother to call me back, now today 10/01/25 i woke up and bumpy was bleeding pretty good from the spot were the stiches were removed from , so i called again and requested to speak with management and made them aware bumpy is bleeding from the area you guys did surgery and needed help the manager told me that i would need to pay another $65 for bumpy to be seen by dr. on top of the $65 i paid on sunday 09/28/25 and any work preformed such as surgerys etc they do not stand by the work prefromed and will not provide me with the nesscary treat bumpy need unless i paid at least another $280 i asked them do they not stand by the dr. work, i had no issues with bumpy until the stiches where removed, i was told by manager no they do not stand by the work and if i cant affford the treatment for him to go open a go fund me page or ask for dontations, if he dies he dies that something i would have to deal with it wasnt there fault i was like wow, whoever takes the time to read this testimony please be careful with this hospital, all it is is a money grab for them, the manager is heatless and they do care about your pets none whatsoever , even there own employess say all we care about is the money, this hospital is not here for patient care all they want is the money, and jus to update you about bumpy he is currently fighting for his life right now and does not have a good chance at making it, it other words my dog dying due to the hospital lack of compassion for the animals and owners do not go here, do not go here, do not go here price assessment overpriced read more
