This place came highly recommended from another winery but I personally didn't care for the wines nor did we feel welcomed. The service was just ok. We didn't enjoys any of the wines we tried and the views aren't as great as we expected. Maybe they're more attentive to people who sit inside. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be returning.

Great variety of wine. As a sweet wine drinker they have lots of delicious options. Great location and beautiful view.

Must try spot if you're in the area! Very affordable option for wine tasting, either $20 or $30 depending on the one you choose. Very knowledgeable staff and very attentive to your questions and making sure you don't wait too long between pours. The area is gorgeous and has ample seating. Parking can get a little tight. Otherwise it is a great place to go wine tasting and loved that we decided to do one of each so we could share and try all their wines. Highly recommend their Cabernet, Merlot & Exit Forty One! We didn't try their food options but it looked like a lot of folks were bringing picnic foods and snacks at the larger group tables, so that might be option but call just to be sure. Such a great hidden gem and very reasonably priced compared to other places in Napa Valley.

Always a pleasure coming here. We are members of the Wooden Valley wine club... we get 2 selections 3 times a year. We make it a special event to drive up and get our wine... always so pretty& relaxing up there.

Plenty of seating

Amazing visit!! Recommend coming during the week to get the full experience which they recommend 90 minutes!! Maria was phenomenal!!! All the dry reds were delicious, bought so many had to ship back. $25 is well worth it! Plenty of seating available inside & out!!

Lots of outdoor seating with picnic tables

I've been a member for years and can't say enough good things about this winery. The wine is consistently incredible, the service is always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with friends. Truly one of my favorite places to unwind!

Wine Tasting Menu

Wooden Valley is the oldest winery in the Suisun Valley since 1933. The rustic winery is an amazing place to have wine tasting or just have a picnic outdoors. Not sure if there were cheese/crackers platter that goes along with the tasting, but there packaged delectables for you. Erica was our server and she was amazing! All the servers warmly welcome you in and tell you about the history of each wine along with possible pairings. Everyone left with a bottle!

This place came highly recommended from another winery we visited, but I can't say that I personally loved the wines. They were decent (for my palate anyway.) The place has great reviews so give it a shot and be the judge for yourself... because wine really is so subjective. Service was really friendly and helpful and the property is beautiful- I just didn't leave craving more in terms of the wines. I would be willing to give a second go and try the other flight- because who knows, maybe it was just me with the off day?

The tastings

Decided to go to Fairfield as the wine was less expensive, including the tastings compared to Napa and Sonoma. The service was excellent, Rob was our server, very informative and friendly. The place is beautiful and would be great for a large party. $15 tasting is waived if you buy a bottle of wine and we bought three.

Wisterias blooming!

Great selection of wines. Usually we enjoy some of their reds and whites. There is an outdoor area to include picnic tables to enjoy the weather during the summer and they're very kid friendly. They don't typically serve food which is a downer but you're free to bring your own for a picnic outside.

We had the opportunity to make our own red blend!!! Lovely food and so much fun!!!

I am a wine club member here and every time I go to an event be it for members or the public it is always wonderful!!! Not only are their wines delicious. Especially the Italian variatials. The events are so well run with every detail considered. They have an amazing team that continues to impress.

Ask the Community - Wooden Valley Winery

Do they serve food?

I don't think they do, but you're allowed to bring your own food/snacks. I remember seeing many people bringing their own food last time I visited back in March. And they allow you to enjoy it either inside the tasting room, or outside on their…

Can I bring my 11 and 12 year old children with us?

Yes. They're very family friendly and you can sit outside on picnic tables with the whole family.

Are they dog friendly?

Hi Cheryl! Thanks for asking about dogs. We allow dogs on leash in the outside space as long as they're friendly and don't bother other visitors. Hope this helps.

We noticed the beautiful property, the giant wine glass sculpture, and a sign for live music on Friday night, so we decided to stop in. Jeff greeted us at the door and immediately made us feel welcome. After hearing we enjoy sparkling wine, he poured us a taste of their Brut, which was crisp, refreshing, and good enough that we ordered a bottle to enjoy while the band set up. The atmosphere here is fantastic with comfortable seating, a lively crowd, and genuinely friendly staff like Jessica & Jeff. They also shared a little history of the winery and introduced us to some of their house-made spirits, including a surprisingly smooth vodka crafted from Chardonnay grapes. My friend especially loved their tequila selection. Once Sixty Scandals started playing their '80s covers, the place came alive. People were dancing, laughing, and just having a great time. We even ended up making a few new wine friends during the evening. Before we left, my friend joined the wine club, and we walked out with bottles, hats, and plans to come back soon. We also had the chance to meet the owner, who was humble, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating a fun community space. If you're in the Fairfield/Suisun area, Bally Keal is absolutely worth checking out. Cheers / sláinte!

Earlier that evening, we had stopped at the Filling Station for drinks and did not experience any issues. The bartenders were friendly and kindly helped us. When we returned after dinner, several of us were seated outside while a few coworkers went to the bar to order additional drinks. While we were waiting, an unknown male walked directly toward our group. He approached the only male coworker seated with us, placed both hands on his shoulders, leaned in, and said something into his ear. The man then walked away. After the man walked away from the table, we asked our coworker what he said, and he told us, "If you leave another empty glass on my table, I will kill you." My coworker appeared confused and stated that he did not know the individual. As the man walked away, another coworker and I stood up and asked what had happened. The man continued walking away without responding. At that point, two women who were nearby began arguing with members of our group. During the verbal exchange, one of the women pushed my coworker. Prior to this interaction, the same women had instructed my manager to move over on the bench as soon as space became available. Following the verbal and physical confrontation initiated by the other party, a bartender from the Filling Station directed our group to leave the premises. The other individuals involved in the confrontation were not asked to leave and remained at the venue. Our group complied and walked across the street. From that location, we observed several patrons and staff from the Filling Station pointing in our direction and laughing. A short time later, we observed one of the bartenders walk to the unknown male's parked vehicle, move the vehicle to a parking space adjacent to the Filling Station, hand the keys to the male, and the male then drove away. Law enforcement responded to the scene, and a police report was taken.

There's a counter area where you can order coffee, pastries, breakfast items, or food to-go, while the left side has a hostess stand if you'd prefer full table service inside or on the patio. The brunch menu was a bit limited, and I ended up ordering the croissant sandwich. The croissant itself was soft and fresh, but overall the sandwich left me wanting a little more flavor. It was on the smaller side, didn't have much bacon, and even with the preserved tomato aioli it felt a bit underwhelming. The breakfast potatoes also weren't really my favorite. They were small whole potatoes with the skins on and heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper. Personally, I would've liked another side option such as fresh fruit. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. For two croissant sandwiches, two iced teas, and a side of fries, the total came to around $70 with tip, which felt a little pricey for the overall experience. The property itself is beautiful. It looks like they host live music and events in the outdoor quad area, and I noticed they also offer wood-fired pizza after 11 AM, which honestly sounds worth coming back to try. Overall, I have mixed feelings as the atmosphere and service were great, but the food didn't quite live up to expectations for me personally.

I initially booked an olive oil tasting but later discovered that it was more of an educational thing where you have to sit in a room. With a baby and a dog , I was hoping we can just enjoy that outdoors but they weren't able to accommodate. I hope sometime in the future they can change that . Instead of the olive oil tasting , I decided to have lunch outdoors. It was such a beautiful day and a tad windy . We started with some cocktails. Pomegranate Margarita : 5/5 it was the perfect blend of tangy , slightly sweet and the salt rim balanced all the flavors nicely. Also , it was pretty strong . Charcuterie $45 : Wow the presentation for this charcuterie was beautiful . Everything on the board was yummy and was a nice snack for grazing and enjoying it with the cocktail . I really liked the sweet walnuts , olives , wagyu sausage , pickled carrots , cauliflower , & the fig jam . 5/5 French onion soup $20 : I never really think to get a french onion soup but I was convinced that this was the best thing ever .. and guess what ?! It was !! This was probably the best french onion soup i've ever had . It was super rich , savory , and slightly sweet from the carmelized onions . It also had some delicious melted gruyère cheese that was oozing with the soup . The puff pastry on top was soo good . It was nice and comforting . 5/5 Prosciutto and Brie $30 : Dare I say this was probably one of the tastiest sandwiches ever ?! I can't believe prosciutto and brie can taste this good . The combination of garlic aioli , pickled shallots , red onions with farm greens mixed in the sandwich really brought out all the flavors. The only downside is for the portion idk if it justifies the price 4.5 /5 Ordered a special Pre fixe menu that came with farm salad with Quinoa + Olive oil icecream puff pastry dessert $30 + 10 salmon add on to salad . Salmon quinoa salad : This dish was super simple but the fish was cooked to perfection . It was super moist and the quinoa was fluffy and the salad was nicely dressed . 5/5 We had a great time and the food was fantastic. I'm really happy this place was dog friendly and family friendly. It's so hard finding places that accommodate both . Service was great . Luis did a good job on making sure we were taken care of . He was always checking in on us during our meal and was even whispering when the baby was napping . A+ service . Overall this place is a hidden gem . It's a tad pricey for lunch but the quality and service makes it worth it . We will definitely be back again to try the other delicious foods !

Luckily there was availability and we got sat immediately. The seating is outdoors and has a covered area. The view to the gardens are beautiful. For appetizer we got the breadbasket that comes with homemade olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was delicious, but I felt it was a huge portion of bread especially compared to the tiny containers of olive oil and balsamic. For entree we got the BLT sandwich which was divine. Very very flavorful and the bread was toasted to perfection. That was paired off with the homemade lemonade which was the perfect blend of tart and sweet.
