Had the best time here for my Husbands birthday lunch . The grounds are beautiful . There's so much greenery , blooming flowers and the olive trees and the huge tree outdoors while dining made it feel so tranquil and relaxing. I initially booked an olive oil tasting but later discovered that it was more of an educational thing where you have to sit in a room. With a baby and a dog , I was hoping we can just enjoy that outdoors but they weren't able to accommodate. I hope sometime in the future they can change that . Instead of the olive oil tasting , I decided to have lunch outdoors. It was such a beautiful day and a tad windy . We started with some cocktails. Pomegranate Margarita : 5/5 it was the perfect blend of tangy , slightly sweet and the salt rim balanced all the flavors nicely. Also , it was pretty strong . Charcuterie $45 : Wow the presentation for this charcuterie was beautiful . Everything on the board was yummy and was a nice snack for grazing and enjoying it with the cocktail . I really liked the sweet walnuts , olives , wagyu sausage , pickled carrots , cauliflower , & the fig jam . 5/5 French onion soup $20 : I never really think to get a french onion soup but I was convinced that this was the best thing ever .. and guess what ?! It was !! This was probably the best french onion soup i've ever had . It was super rich , savory , and slightly sweet from the carmelized onions . It also had some delicious melted gruyère cheese that was oozing with the soup . The puff pastry on top was soo good . It was nice and comforting . 5/5 Prosciutto and Brie $30 : Dare I say this was probably one of the tastiest sandwiches ever ?! I can't believe prosciutto and brie can taste this good . The combination of garlic aioli , pickled shallots , red onions with farm greens mixed in the sandwich really brought out all the flavors. The only downside is for the portion idk if it justifies the price 4.5 /5 Ordered a special Pre fixe menu that came with farm salad with Quinoa + Olive oil icecream puff pastry dessert $30 + 10 salmon add on to salad . Salmon quinoa salad : This dish was super simple but the fish was cooked to perfection . It was super moist and the quinoa was fluffy and the salad was nicely dressed . 5/5 We had a great time and the food was fantastic. I'm really happy this place was dog friendly and family friendly. It's so hard finding places that accommodate both . Service was great . Luis did a good job on making sure we were taken care of . Was recommended by a staff member at a local winery to check this place out so we stopped by. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by a staff member. We really didn't know what we were walking into, so she was kind enough to explain what this place was about. So they offer olive oil tasting which can be booked in advance and they also have a bistro in the back with food. We opted to go to the Bistro for some food. Luckily there was availability and we got sat immediately. The seating is outdoors and has a covered area. The view to the gardens are beautiful. For appetizer we got the breadbasket that comes with homemade olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread was delicious, but I felt it was a huge portion of bread especially compared to the tiny containers of olive oil and balsamic. For entree we got the BLT sandwich which was divine. Very very flavorful and the bread was toasted to perfection. That was paired off with the homemade lemonade which was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. We booked the olive oil tasting for the very first time and we learned so much. I highly recommend this experience because it's so worth learning about their company. The way they explained how to tell what a fresh and great olive oil is made and how to pair them appropriately to food, fruit and gelato. I've been to wine tasting before, but never heard of olive oil tasting. I have been buying olive oil from places I have travelled all around the world and always enjoyed the distinct taste and flavor each country has to offer. So, when I heard about this place, I had to go check it out. My cousin and I reserved their tour and olive oil tasting with food pairing. After that we decided to eat lunch there as they also do have a restaurant. I was particularly excited about the food because the food they offered from the food pairing were all so delicious. I was disappointed as their restaurant food tasted okay and a little bland. Nothing out of this world. I suggest booking the tour and tasting, but go eat lunch somewhere else. However, I did learn a lot about olives that day. Their olive oil selections taste good and unique. Must try and buy some. The staff were all very nice and the scenery was very nice. read more

The perfect example of a place that went viral and it matches the hype! My friends and I met up for a day out in the country and what a fun time, the property and food blew us away. Such a quaint little spot! If you like olive oils and balsamic vinegars, come and do a tasting reservation. Signed up for an olive oil tasting and food pairing and joined a couple of friends. First, I had no idea this area of Fairfield was so lovely! You hop off the freeway and on a country road similar to Napa. Farms, wineries, beer tasting, produce stands, bed a d breakfast inns. I saw the cutest red schoolhouse that was clearly still actively being used (wish I had taken a picture!) Pulled into il Fiorello, impressed by the grounds, gardens. The tasting class was fun and informative. First you taste 4 olive oils and 2 balsamic vinegar. They talk abiut the history of the farm, trees, award winning oils. Then they bring out a little food pairing made with the oils and vinegar. They have fresh produce, baked goods, olive oil ice cream, oils, vinegar, lavender goods for sale. Lots of great seating outdoors, covered patio, big screen tvs. A true California farm to table vibe! We had a cheese board and a bread basket that came with olive oil for dipping. Beautifully tucked in Suisun valley vineyards, this place is a hidden gem and sources fresh ingredients from the farm and garden. Dined in with a friend and sat outside in the patio. Because they have a small farm, there is a bit of a smelly aroma outside. We had the French onion soup, which was enclosed by a puff pastry and had gruyere cheese inside, torch shaped pasta with squash and pancetta and breadcrumbs, and a Brussels sprouts Caesar salad with crispy prosciutto. Every dish tasted magnificent. I like them all equally. Tastefully seasoned and cooked well to make the flavors stand out along with beautiful presentation. My critiques would be that the melted cheese from the French onion soup would solidify get stuck on the spoon and some of the larger Brussels sprouts on the salad were a bit tough. Pasta was a tad bit salty but still great. We had two scoops of gelato for dessert- olive oil with a hint of lemon zest and flakey salt and chocolate. Both were creamy delicious and not too rich. We were seated in the patio overlooking my the garden. It was a beautiful day. We watched butterflies visit the flowers and saw guests on ours of the property. We have driven by Il Fiorello for years and have never made the time to stop. I belong to their email distribution and when they mentioned crab rolls, I immediately made a reservation. Not walk in friendly. I'm a local so I drive by this place pretty often on my way to Mankas Grill, and I figured I'd pop in today. They have a sign that says Visitors Center so I walked in there and not a Hello, Welcome, or friendly face in sight. I guess I walked into the retail store on the right when you walked in and the lady working when I asked her if I was at the welcome center looked at me confused and said they didn't have one...? I tried walking into the rest of the building and again no one to attend you. I've never been there before and the staff seem to be intentionally avoiding eye contact or acknowledgment of your existence. Walking out I made a comment to my mom about the vibe and a gentlemen outside said "Yeah I don't blame you" I guess we weren't the only ones. My girlfriends and I love coming here. My friend found this hidden gem in Fairfield and we've been back 4-5 times since then. On our first visit we did the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. I haven't done one before and definitely learned a lot. I believe on our second or third visit we met the owner and she invited us to check out how they make their olive oil across the parking lot in their production area. It was pretty neat to check out what happens behind the scenes. We have dined at their restaurant a couple times and the food is always excellent. I went there today for lunch and ordered the Mezzi. It's a pasta dish and it was cooked to perfection. The rigatoni was cooked Al dente just the way I like it. To drink I got the Il Fiorello lemonade which was good. It had just the right amount of tartness to it and it wasn't too sweet. Our server was fantastic and friendly. The one small complaint I have is the payment process. The bill they bring to your table is the one where you have to sign and tip on, not the second receipt like restaurants normally do. Our server mentioned it but we didn't know what she was referring to at first. We wanted to leave her a good tip but she said she would have to refund everything and start over so we decided to buy another drink. We were in Fairfield for our daughter's collegiate event and had neighbors in Rancho Solano recommend Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company for lunch. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. I agree with another reviewer that they are not very welcoming to walk-ins. We were seated outside, and our original server openly asked another staff member--within earshot--if someone could take "those people" because he was tired. That was off-putting and unprofessional. Thankfully, the server who ended up taking care of us was kind and professional. We spent about $135 for lunch. I ordered the prix fixe menu, and while the presentation was nice, the food overall was underwhelming. The bread basket (which is $15) was dry and not worth ordering. The only highlight of the meal was the gelato. After lunch, I went into the retail area excited to purchase olive oil for salads. When I asked a simple question, the woman behind the counter--who I later learned is the owner--responded in a condescending and dismissive way. It caught me completely off guard. When I asked another staff member if I had said something wrong, she said no and explained that "that's the owner." As someone whose family has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I have a strong appreciation for hospitality and how guests should be treated. This experience felt the opposite--both toward customers and, based on what I observed, possibly toward staff as well. I left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed, which is unfortunate because I typically enjoy supporting small businesses. Hubby and I discovered this place and decided to have a date here by signing up for the olive oil and basalmic vinegar tasting tour. We were greeted immediately and introduced to our tour guide, David. He took us to another room with a tv, lots of tables and chairs very spacious and open with huge windows looking out. There was tons of natural light in the room which I always appreciate. For the next hour or so, David showed us a few video presentations as well as guiding us through tasting the different olive oils they make on site along with a basalmic vinegar. He educated us on their process and how they came to be Il Fiorello. He also showed us how we can use the oils and basalmic vinegar to enhance our food! That was so interesting and fun trying new stuff out. Hubby and I had a great time and David answered all our questions and shared some history about his time there as well. Once our tour was over, we wanted to eat at the bistro they have on site. We decided to get the prix fixe menu of ciabatta tri tip and gelato along with pork ragu. I also ordered their gin martini. We got to meet the marketing director who shared that they also have cooking classes and a couple more slots are available for December. Hubby and I may look into the cooking class. Our food came out all at once and we tried it all. I enjoyed the pork ragu but I am a fan of pasta and that was delicious. The sandwich and quinoa side was just ok but huge! Hubby and I split one half of the sandwich. We took the food home and ended up eating our gelato with olive oil on the way home and that was so delicious!!! We can't wait to get more of the gelato. We ended our afternoon by heading to the gift shop to purchase some olive oil and basalmic vinegar that we tried during the tasting. 8/9/25 - I was invited to my cousin's birthday celebration!!! It was very different from our regular fanfare!!! She invited 6 close friends, her mom and me. So our time was 1o'clock but some of us were running a tad bit late. I had never been there and the street sign was a little bent and was pointed to the other street, so I made a right, my GPS told me that I would have to make a U-turn and as soon as I did I was back on the right track. I drove slow so I wouldn't miss the driveway. I quickly parked and waited briefly for the birthday girl. We went in and felt a sigh of relief because it was a pretty warm day. The a/c felt wonderful!!! We were shown into this quiet room that had a picturesque view of the olive vineyard. We were shown a film showing us how they came to be a vineyard and how they make their oils. Not only did we see the film we had our own private tour guide who was most kind. Afterwards we were escorted outside to a long table waiting for us to enjoy a good lunch. I decided I would try the pizza with ice tea. This would be the first time I had a vegetarian pizza, but it wasn't bad, it was very cheesy. My ice tea was not sweet enough and I asked for four packets of sugar and he bought the whole little sugar dish to me with various kinds of sugar. It was so warm out there and my ice tea turned into warm tea. No need of complaining because it was nothing they could do. Lunch was much cheaper than I thought. For my personal pizza & ice tea it came to $21.00 plus tip & tax. It was not crowded, maybe the heat kept people away. We randomly stumbled across Il Fiorello while looking for something to pass the time in Fairfield. While we missed the last tasting of the day, we ordered a charcuterie board and were able to get a couple of samples of some of their best olive oils. We sat on the back outdoor patio with our dog, who all of the staff were super friendly with. Food was good but a little on the salty side. There were 3 of us on our table and my friends had ordered French onion soup and I ordered a sandwich. It was during lunch time but we were the first group seated outside in the patio and there were 3 small group in the covered patio. It did take at least 10 or so min for someone to take our drink order and by then we've already decided to order our lunch (good thing). It took a while for the food to arrive and to top it off, only 1 soup and my sandwich came and my other friend at least waited another 20-30 min to get her soup. Does that make sense? The manager did come out and said her soup will come out soon. But not for another 15 min. I had to give her a piece of my sandwich. But, the manager did say it's on the house but doesn't seem very happy when he said it. And no apology. This was my first time to Il Fiorello. We joined another couple for an olive oil tasting. This was run by Ann, one of the owners. It was so informative! I'm really glad I took this class. And the food pairings were so delicious. The four of us then went and had lunch. We sat outside and Devin was the one who took care of us. What amazing service! (Well, everybody was amazing, but Devin... He gives the kind of service that makes you give a big tip! They are lucky to have him because he really made the experience even more fantastic!). The presentation and the flavors of the food were impeccable! The fact that they grow most of their food, definitely wants me to come back and share more meals there. The owner checked in us multiple times throughout our visit there. The whole experience felt homely and informative. THEY SELL GELATO. Review for Gelato I was on my way to Larry's Produce without navigations and happened to take the wrong route. As I approached the front entrance sign, I happened to see a vertical sign that said "Gelato." I love Gelato and aspire to make good gelato so when I saw that sign I took note of the place! Later in the week I decide to stop by there. Upon entering, an employee greeted me. They asked if for a table, but I only wanted gelato. "Is it okay if I get just Gelato?" "of course! right this way!" she brought me to the dining area and I was able to order over the counter. At the time, I got the Olive oil and the strawberry white chocolate. I believe the total was -$8-$10 which is standard gelato price for 2 scoops. I was able to sit outside the front entrance patio area. Per photo, I was able to enjoy the Olive oil Gelato... I was honestly surprised how much I enjoyed it! I've heard about this flavor and was hesitant to make it myself, but this blew my mind how good it was! It was topped with the olive oil they used and also there's a coarse finishing sea salt top on top to enhance the flavor. When you think of sweet and savory, with a hint of lemon but the richness of a good quality olive oil. That's what you get. The other flavor was good but I think the former was a new flavor to me that I was blind sided by it. I have stopped by a 2nd time. They said they try to rotate flavors which is common and nice to add variety. I tried their Chocolate and pistachio flavor. the chocolate flavor was very rich, possibly a 85%-100% dark chocolate which I'm starting to enjoy compared to milk chocolate. The Pistachio Flavor had a subtle taste to it which was enjoyable. I did realize maybe it was not the best to include both in the same cup because the chocolate overpowered the pistachio flavor. Still great gelato! From what I heard they don't make the gelato in house and outsource it somewhere else, but they said they send their olive oil to make the olive oil gelato. Does that change anything? Absolutely not! They have small section upon entering the building to the right where you could make purchases of olive oil and other products they sell like jams, etc. Parking: medium size lot, times that I've been there, it was never busy Ambiance: Nice patio and dining area. Very spacious. looks as if you're dining in your backyard. It appears you could have the potential to dine in with a big group. appears to be family friendly with little kiddos. The fact that I stumbled upon it while on my way to a different destination makes it love it more. I've only gone during the afternoon, so it never seemed to be TOO busy. I have yet to dine in for lunch or dinner but It appears everything is fresh, and their menu seems the rotate, which is the idea of farm to table.
