As former Chieftain member, I am found of their wines, the cozy tasting room and patio area literally at Mankas Corner. Live music and small bites make for a great experience. Their cabs are 3.8 of 5 with the petit sirah a 4 of 5. I would not lay these wines for longer than 3 years. I've been to Mankas many times but have never stopped in at Vezer for a wine tasting. Since I had time, I decided to pop in and do a tasting. Jace was absolutely amazing, super informative and went above and beyond. He truly needs a raise. He showed us around the property and showed us the private room for the club members who spend over a certain threshold annually. The room locked some of their personal wjnes in a control temperature room. It was beautiful. The wines, were more on the pricey side but they were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the Chardonnay, but that's typical for me. The Zin was the highlight for me. The parking isn't abundant and if there's an event going on at one of the neighboring establishments, be prepared to walk. Overall beautiful place and will certainly venture back in. read more

Fantastic Chardonnay. I don't drink white wine but this Chardonnay is wonderful and I recommend it to all red wine drinkers. Service was great and the young man helping us was very helpful. Hubby and I decided to get out and enjoy the warm day, and decided we would take advantage of the local wineries. I had purchased a Groupon, which offered us both wineries for a good price. However, it is better to join as a member, as they will deduct the cost for the wine tasting from the membership fee. At the end of the day...we became Wine Club Members (aka Chieftans!!!). We had an absolute blast. We arrived about 1:30 pm. A few of the younger crowd were there, which impacted the volume...I'll just put it that way lol. As they dwindled down to not, there were more of the 40+ crowd on the scene and it made for a more memorable experience . Customer service was fabulous and despite COVID-19 restrictions, we were still able to have great conversation with the staff. Looking forward to their member events and galas, as things open up and absolutely cannot wait to return. The one thing I will add is that their sister site, the Blue Victorian had a better charcuterie board. but I won't be removing any points for that! read more

It's always a great experience when visiting Vezer! I am partial to the Blue Victorian location, simply because the views and fresh air are hard to beat. However, no matter which location you visit, the wine is going to be delicious. It's so nice having a few wineries in the Suisun valley - not having to trek to Napa, Sonoma or Healdsburg anytime I want to go tasting is a huge plus for this place! Today we were treated to a private tasting at the estate location with Pam Valdivia (sp?) and it exceeded our expectations. Bought the Groupon ($30 versus $80) which was a wine tasting for 4 people. Package is actually wine tasting at 2 locations tasting roughly 8 different wines per person. We only took 3 people. To me, this either automatically implies to provide us an additional glass or a heavier pour. Neither were provided at the first location with Kevin. While Kevin was super nice, his entire intention and conversation was SALES, SALES and more SALES. It was almost a little uncomfortable. The second location was awesome. I cannot remember the ladies name; however, she was super sweet, made great conversation outside of the wine and was super attentive. We spent all of our money there. Downside in my opinion was quantity compared to cost when it came to tasting. Location was gorgeous. Great for snapping pics. I also hated that there were not white wines. read more

Really enjoyed my visit this morning! The name caught my as it's Hungarian (for captain). Hungary, despite being such a small country, does have a pretty big contribution to the world of wine! Get. The. Groupon! A friend and I did a tasting for two at both locations and had a blast. A great value in Napa Valley. Charcuterie boards are available at both, as well as bottles. Our favorites were the Petite Sirah and La Sallette blend (both Vezer's specialties). One criticism I had was that at the Blue Victorian location, they seemed to deviate from the tasting flight that was on the menu, so it was hard to follow the flight and understand the different wines. I definitely recommend talking to your server as much as you can, they don't share much about the wines and the vineyard unless you ask. read more

We had a blast. I did both locations, blue house first. Got straight into the tasting, pretty good. I forgot which one I liked best but I did buy a bottle at the Mankas location. They have a outdoor seating with lounge furniture and string lights. The barrel room was open so we walked in and also saw the vineyard next to it wit hills in the background. Mankas had their members event going on in the garden so I didnt view the barrel room there. But I had a great time. I went to the bar across the street and had dinner at the steakhouse. Went for a girls trip and wanted to have a fun cozy experience for our first time going to a wine tasting and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jace was extremely knowledgeable and had an amazing presence when answering our questions and making conversation with us! We loved that we had the opportunity to go to 2 separate locations in one experience and all the wine options were absolutely amazing. It was even raining and cold the whole time we were there and found that it didn't take away from the experience at all. We got a Groupon for a tasting here, which apparently included a tasting at their other location, which was just down the road. You COULD probably walk but it is slightly farther. 4 tastings here, 4 tastings there, and they have different wine. The premise is so cute- its compact, and it was basically all to ourselves - they let you sit where ever you want and they regulate the tasting from there. So we basically got to chat and drink at our pace. Their prices seem a little higher than normal, but their last wine, their flagship wine, named after the owners mother was my favorite - also the most expensive lol. The groupon came with 15% off but even at $90 - we didnt love it THAT much. It was just the best of the bunch. I could see it being perfect for private parties! read more

I was greeted by Jace who was unbelievably kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. To the owners of Vezer JACE NEEDS A RAISE. This was our first stop on the way to a Groupon wine tasting. We LOVED it. It was way back in the hills outside of Fairfield that I never knew existed! The first location of the Vezer winery was a small building situation on a quiet road. We were immediately greeted by the tasting room staff and we stood at the bar for our tasting. Even though we were using a Groupon we were treated wonderfully. We got to try all of the wine and ended up getting a bottle of petite syrah since it was our favorite. All and all it was a pretty quick experience since we stood at the bar rather than sitting down, but it was still amazing. I would highly recommend traveling into the Suisun City hills to visit Vezer! read more

I'll try and sum everything up in main points so it doesn't get too long -I tried so hard to plan this trip. I called every day for a week, I kept getting different people, I got transferred between employees, sent to voicemail once, no one gave me consistent or correct information and the website was useless -we decided to go anyway, arrived, and they said they're closing in five minutes (it was 1:55) Again, I tried to communicate with the winery, I wouldn't have come if I knew they were closing -the employee tried to sell us a tasting anyway and wanted to rush through it in five minutes until I called him out and said that makes no sense. -the employee also tried to sell us concert tickets. He told us $50 for two people, two tastings included and food and music. We were about to buy until I insisted on more information and we learned the tastings were actually only vouchers to be used at a later time and we'd have to buy additional wine there if we wanted to drink -I told the employee about all my frustrations and tried to come some kind of resolution and all we got was an extra pour of a tasting I'm really sad that I wasted hours of my own time trying to call/plan and a day of vacation as well. This yelp review isn't going to get back the time and money I spent trying to make this work but I hope someone will read this and save their own time and money read more

Vezer Family Vineyard is at the epicenter of the wine revolution going on right now in the heart of the Suisun Valley in Solano County. Many people don't even know that this region of wine growing even exists so it's nice to discover hidden gems in the Bay Area. A true definition of what a staycation is supposed to be all about. This is one of two tasting rooms in the valley owned by Vezer that the public can come to try their wines. It's easy to get them confused, as this one is called the Mankas Corner Tasting Room because it's literally on the corner of Mankas Corner Road, the other is called the Blue Victorian (home to said blue house) and it's just up the street along Suisun Valley Road. I had only peripherally heard of this region before, but today my friends and I were given a front seat introduction to three of the wineries along the Suisun Valley Road exit off of Interstate 80 by my fellow Elite Yelper Michelle who happened to be Chieftain member of this winery and supporter of all three wineries and I could see why. Vezer's wines are all aromatic, sweet and bold, with a combination of flavors of from fruits such as berries, cranberries, bing cherries and strawberries. You can't go wrong with a flavor profile like that. They seem to specialize in reds at Vezer, as five of our pours for our tasting were all lovely deep colored reds. The tastings included the one white the 2014 Estate Verdelho, as well as the 2013 Cabernet Franc, 2013 Estate Zinfandel, 2011 La Salette, and the 2012 Estate Black Muscat- Franci. What kept the flavors of each of the wines so strong was we were treated to specialty crackers that cleansed your palette in between wine sips. Who knew this even existed? But I loved them as well as the salty almonds that came with them. I really loved the La Salette wine at Vezer, which is a unique combination of wines, petite sirah and zinfandel, and at 90 dollars a bottle was a real treat, and it's a wine that deliberately ages well, so expect me to pick that one in the near future. The Black Muscat was also another highlight as I've never had a Muscat with that deep of color and flavor of cherries and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end our tasting. The crew really made us feel at home in their tasting room, which is actually two rooms in what felt like what was a more rustic homey setting, like a place you can kick back and curl up by the fire. The main room has a wine tasting counter with a sofas and chairs in the main area with a fireplace as well as two main tasting tables for groups. The other room next door had a wine showcase and counter with a few more comfy chairs. We came in mid-afternoon on a holiday weekend so it filled up pretty fast and the weather outside was rather cold, but there was plenty of lovely garden space and patio areas to walk around as you sipped your wine. (Preferably on a warm summer afternoon.) You just have to keep going back indoors to get your glass filled. Next to the tasting room was another building that contained the barrel room and event space, which I was hoping to see on my next visit, as I learned they have special summer concerts and events such as weddings. What a perfect and untouched place this must be to make it a fantastic winery. Another little small hidden gem in the North Bay. read more
