This place is a gem, great service, daily specials, and just good food. Of course, good-sized portions. The back room has lots of wood, giving it a rustic appearance and lots of tv's, tuned into sports. We ordered the chicken wings, and they came with ranch and fresh cut fries. And a meaty cheesesteak sub. All was delicious. Parking can get a bit of a challenge with a limited parking lot, so street parking is an option. read more

Stopped by for lunch today. Grilled cheese for me, oinker burger for another member of our party with extra oink. (Bacon) They have about five types of fries or tots. I had the regular fries (battered) they also have hand cut or sweet potato fries. My fries were SO good I could have eaten about 100 more. My grilled cheese was fantastic - three cheese on sourdough bread. The ambience was great - like a fun neighborhood sports bar. I'd eat here again any time! read more

We no sooner were walking in to the restaurant when the owner was sitting outside on her phone and rudely told my partner and I that the reason they are so busy is the marathon and the football game, and with a rude tone said don't vape out here because some of us don't like it and waved her hand over her face. Mean while no one was outside but us and there are no signs that state no smoking. Very bad customer service will not go here again! read more

We were in the area after paying a visit to the Corning Museum of Glass and we were driving around town starving on a subzero temperature day. Who knew looking at glass could make you so hungry?! Our frigid stomachs had a warm "awakening" with one of the best buffalo winds I've had --better than "Buffalo Wild Wings" in my opinion. It doesn't end there. Do yourself a favor and order a big portion of the waffle fries- you've never had waffle fries crisped to perfection like these! Our waitress was wonderful as well. read more

Great Reuben, probably the best we've had in years. Tots cooked just right. Boneless wings with butter and garlic a little hard but good flavor. Both times we came here we had to someone go find our server to take our order. After that very attentive. Vents at the tables are miserable with cold air blowing on your legs. I have had the wings here a few times. Lots of sauces to choose from. Least fave was the garlic butter, and I enjoyed the hot honey. All my orders have been "take away". Am in the area for work so I just swing by for something to eat in my hotel. I can't attest to the dine in service or atmosphere. Also had the tuna melt x 2. I am not partial to cheese so the 1st time, I felt there was too much cheese. I requested less cheese on my next order, still felt like too much. But I guess I have to deal with some cheese in a "tuna melt". For my taste buds, the cheese made it a bit too salty. Not sure if the base tuna mix also has salt. My rating would be 3.5, but that's not an option so I will round it up. read more

Their daily specials are great, including the soups. The Woodhouse is like the "Cheers" of Corning. Local pub with familiar friendly faces. They also have a Friday Fish Fry which is great. At times they are super busy and you have to wait a little longer for food or service, but that is typical in any place where it's packed with customers. read more

Haven't been in here before and won't be back. Was looking for a place to have wings today so came here because Sit n Bull was closed. The server was at the bar talking to someone...looking at stuff on the person's phone. We seated ourselves and then had to go ask her for menus...after waiting a significant amount of time. Spent time looking at the menu....peanuts all over the floor and several tables...so I took a guess that this place is along the lines of texas roadhouse and serves peanuts. So I went to see if I found any. The barrel was empty...the waitress back at the bar chatting it up with her friend looking at pics on the cel phone. I stood there behind them for a couple minutes then turned around and called out to the other person with me if they wanted to leave cause this place is just too busy for me.... The place Love the atmosphere of this place. TV's at every angle so no matter where you are sitting you can see the game. Place is pretty clean I will say the bathrooms were less than stellar but I kinda expect that at a bar. The food The wings are the only thing I had. Definitely one of the best in the area one thing they do well that sadly most don't is....MAKE THEM CRISPY!!! So many wing places under cook them and they "flubbery" which I hate. Just had another lunch at the Woodhouse. The wings were tasty, the food was served quickly, but I'm removing a star because of our experience when checking out. 5 guys walk in and order lunch and then hand 5 debit cards to split the order amongst. 35 minutes later, we have a whole story about the new computer system and how its hard to split bills, and yada yada yada... I get that computers are difficult and that the machine might give you a hard time with splitting the bill. Next time have the waitstaff ask patrons at the beginning if they'd like separate checks. It took what was an enjoyable lunch into all of us being late to meetings and sprinting back to the office. read more

Anything buffalo chicken at Woodhouse is on point. The Reuben is also one of the best I've had. The food never disappoints, and they have a good drink selection. I definitely like this place. It has multiple flat screen TVs so you can catch the game. It's also a peanut-shell-on-the-floor kinda place. The guys I play hockey with go here regularly every week after our game. The only downside is it's off Market St, so you can't easily hop to another bar or restaurant. read more
