The quality of care and level of professionalism. I have a family member that's residing there. We are going move her to another care facility after being there just barely a month. There's numerous things that's wrong about this place. Definitely too long to go over again. My Google review would explain in detail. Nevertheless, if you care anything about your love ones please don't take them there. Today a staff member used the restroom in my family members room. Which I feel is inappropriate for start. To make matters worst they clogged the toilet with a BM and left it. Then turned around later and got into a back and forth blaming session about who's actually the blame. Mind you my love one is unable to get out of bed without assistance. So let your common sense ponder on that one. Terrible place and I really hate that I have to say that. But I'm a person that relies highly on reviews, not solely but it does mean something to me. Please do a thorough evaluation before you commit. The price is also through the roof and it changes based on different essential needs. The fee started at $6500.00. So now as I mentioned she's been there barely a month. Admitted the 9th of March and now the fee has ballooned to $7500.00. Good luck and take care. read more

I can't say enough about the caring staff at Woodland by Bonaventure. My mother moved in 3 months ago and I drop in several times a week to see her. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My mom didn't want to leave her home of 50+ years as I expect most people don't but with dementia she was having trouble with her medications and doing basic things around her house. Here she is safe and constantly being looked after. Mom sometimes complains food service can be slow and it doesn't taste good to her, but I joined mom for meals twice in the last week and I was very satisfied. (Emma is a sweetheart). It seems they are often short staffed but I don't think that is a problem unique to them and everyone that is there is just great. read more

Our mother was cared for adequately here, but not well. There was one incident where our mother was not put to bed at night, her call button had been removed from her wrist, and she fell out of her wheelchair and was left on the floor the entire night. She was not checked on until morning when a med tech found her. The caregiver involved in this incident subsequently lost her job after the same thing happened with another resident. That said, we should have moved her out at that point before her other falls happened which resulted in several ambulance transports to St. Peter's ER. We also experienced losses of personal items in this facility. Her silverware was stolen, her dishes were stolen, even her bedsheets were stolen or misplaced, and finally, all of her jewelry was stolen before we finally moved her out of there. That one really stings that someone could steal jewelry from an old woman. This facility would probably be fine for someone who doesn't need much help and can live fairly independently. However, our family would highly recommend not bringing anything of value with you when you move in and making other arrangements to store those things that hold value. If problems arise, we found that we were assured multiple times that things would be dealt with and they never were. This facility was stellar about keeping Covid-19 out of the facility. In that regard, we highly commend their diligence in keeping residents free from Covid-19. All these things said, the care staff are friendly and kind and do the best they can with the resources they are allotted. We ended up moving our mother to a wonderful adult family home which is turning out to be perfect for her as she is thriving now. Just do your research and make sure your loved one can function independently well enough to live in this facility. read more

My father has been at Woodland Assisted Living for 2 years. The staff is very attentive and caring from housekeeping to the Executive Director, Jenn, who has an open door policy and works to address any issues quickly and fairly. I stop by to see my father 4-5 times a week and it is always clean and staff are friendly. I highly recommend them for your loved ones. read more

I'm a new employee and I love seeing all the residents and love talking with each and everyone of them. Yes we are trying to get more people hired but the people who are working I have noticed that they do care and try there best to help. If you choose to stay here just know we will try are best to make this feel like a home cause we all care for are residents I personally try and make them laugh when I can and listen to them when they need an ear. read more

Really less than 0! See my complaint at the Better Business Bureau's site. As I mentioned before, PLEASE DO NOT LET A LOVED ONE LIVE HERE!!! The management is uncaring and deceitful. They tried to pay me off to be quiet and then sign an agreement saying they did nothing wrong. Never! Woodland says one thing to get you moved in but it's another story later on. We never would have moved my mother to Woodland had we known there would be no Medicaid room for her in a few years. How many others are living in this facility thinking they will be there when their funds run out like us? In Feb 2019, my mother fell in her Independent Living apartment at Woodland and suffered a subdural hematoma that went undetected for 2 weeks. When I took her to the doctor upon my immediate return from vacation, she was taken off blood thinners and soon after had 2 strokes. Last spring, my mom was getting released from rehab and needing Assisted Care, and she would have to find another place to live when she only had $17,000 left to her name. This was a terrible and stressful time. They took her money for 23 months until it was practically gone (and they keep copies of bank statements) and then Jennifer, the exec. director, said they had no room for her. Woodland (Jennifer) had promised us a 2 Year Medicaid spendown. I had to move my mom out of Woodland to another Assisted Care. My mom died in August. I started getting invoices from Woodland for the remainder of the month my mom had moved and also other daily threat charges. Really? I was hopeful when I had eventually established communication with the corporate office that they would investigate what I was telling them but instead they offered to pay me off and sent me an agreement saying they had done nothing wrong and would sue me if I were to talk about it. Wow, great organization...... There seem to be no adequate legal protection for people living in Independent Living. Completely Vulnerable for Elder Abuse and Predatory Practices! read more

If you value your love ones then do not have them live here in Woodland. If you like being lied to on a continuing basis, then by all means this is the home for you. The people running this facility should be ashamed of taking advantage of the elder population. They lie from the beginning so if you take the tour make sure everything they tell you is in writing. Be prepared when they renege on the promises that you have a lawyer ready and available to view the contract. This facility is all about profit, not caring for the residents, it is under staff and cannot provide the care that they promise. please, take your loved ones somewhere better. your mom, or whoever you are searching housing for, deserves better than this. there is a floor that smells like pee from the moment you get off the elevator. the staff turnover is insane, so if you are looking for caregivers that will bond with your loved one, you won't find it here. it's not the caregivers' fault that they leave so fast, either. they leave because what they experience here is horrific. the management does not care about the people living there or the staff. its all about money. i wish i could say more, but this place is a nightmare, seriously. i am honestly begging you to take your loved ones somewhere that will treat them with dignity and decency. read more

Welcome to Bonaventure a retirement company that does not truly care about their residents let alone their employees. I have worked for this company for sometime now and am currently looking employment elsewhere. I have been at two location mostly and have worked at many other locations the company has. In my opinion and research I have done in the last year I have found something's to be quite disturbing and illegal. I keep in touch with many of my coworkers and friends that work at other locations. As you would assume their is 3 different types customers the advertise for; independent living, assisted living and memory care. If you are looking for a place to put your loved ones look elsewhere. They only thing about these building is some of the staff actually care, and they are the reason the residents will stay. Bonaventure has been in many lawsuits in the past, these are some of the reasons: A former senior living executive maintains that he was fired in retaliation for reporting his employer to the state for a "lack of appropriate staffing levels", and asked for stop placement at the East Wenatchee, the Medford location had five separate violations in 2020, is facing further accusations of negligence from family, a wrong death at the Salem location in 2018, Lacey was issued a $1,000 civil fine by the Washington state Department of Social and Health Services last week after an investigation found that the facility violated residents' rights as protected under state law, and that is just a few that were in the news. This company has also had some ED and AED forge family signatures on documents the DHS, APS and the state would frown upon. Also many locations have serval staff med techs and carestaff that have been told to change chart notes in the MAR, serval buildings have also had issues with medtechs not being training properly and giving residents another residents medication. A lot of this information and has been pushed under the rug and it sickens me to be here still. You have had many Memory care directors and assistant living directors be told not to call the state for things that should of been reported to the state.Many residents feel like they are lied to about what Bonaventure offers and what they actually can do. You will have EDs and AEDs promise many things that will not happen. Most management teams are never on the same page. Another that is an issue in every department is that Bonaventure under staffs it's buildings, many residents, staff and managers say all the time this is the one company that has the least amount of staff in each department but still says they are staffed. The company want to run the managers ragged until they quit. When support is needed the managers will not receive support in any way support or form, I have seen EDs, AED, RCCs, MCD, and DSMs, go days without having a day off sometimes as long as 2-3 months. 2-3weeks is very common. The health services managers have worked sometimes 24 hours straight to the point of exhaustion. The kitchen are definitely the heaviest hitters with being under staffed. Servers are always exhausted, cooks with extremely heavy work loads, DSMs have to manage all staff and also cook on most days, some DSMs will end up work 50-70 hours a week. Most DSM are never truly told the whole truth on what the job involves by the EDs or AEDs read more

I recently visited this facility and found it has a lot of positive features for people who want to retain their independence. The hallways are wide, lighting is very good, apartments are large and spacious. As is true in many places, the staff attitude and helpfulness increased as the pay scale lowered. I want to call out Elizabeth at the front desk who displayed competence as well as being friendly, but not chatty. It is across from headquarters for a credit union, located in what looks like an industrial park, with all the unexpected twists and turns you would expect, as far as the roadway. There is a shopping center nearby, but the grocery is quite a walk. My rating is based on the views from many of the windows - into the windows of other buildings; the erratic time for the unlocking of the front door for guests, in the early morning. And the lack of a welcoming atmosphere when you first enter the building. I don't expect puppies and rainbows. I do expect an acknowledgement I exist when I am standing at the front desk. read more
