Cute cafe tucked in a quaint Ballard neighborhood. I've been to their Bellevue location and have always loved their coffee concoctions. Service was quick, no line at all. And a shoutout to the server for toasting my scone. It came out warm, not dry, not too cheesy, just how I like it. Matcha latte w/ almond milk was alright, knowing this can't be compared to what I can get at tea cafes. I love how they make this place green w/ all sorts of indoor plants. Plants do light up the area and mood given that Seattle can be so gloomy around this time. Def coming back if I'm in the area again. read more

Tried this place on a whim while running errands in Ballard. The sign outside is a little small so it might sneak up on you, but hopefully the street parking is open in front so you don't have to trek far for it. I tried the fall seasonal Medici mocha with an apple cinnamon pull apart and my husband tried the cortado and a latte. The quality is great and it's one of those places that doesn't make overly sweet drinks so if you like a mocha that is very coffee forward in flavor, this is a great option. They also have vegan friendly breakfast pastries and burritos so you can accommodate multiple people of varying diets. Baristas are friendly and make conversation while you wait, even when it's a little busy. It has a few tables and the typical noise of a cafe, so feel free to if into their WiFi if you want to work from somewhere other than home if that's your style. Overall great experience and I think the seasonal specials are worth a trip if you're looking for a little more fun! read more

I've been to Woodland Coffee twice now! They have more hours than other cafes in the area. I was happy that they opened early. This time around, I ordered a 16 oz matcha with oatmilk as well as a sesame/poppyseed pinwheel. I was surprised that both items cost ~$17 before tip. Both items were just fine in flavor. There is plenty of seating in Woodland Coffee, so it's a great spot to go to to meet with people. read more

Just a heads up this review might be a bit biased since I'm personally not a fan of Olympia Coffee or Vita Coffee. Unfortunately, this ended up being one of my worst coffee experiences. The wait time was brutal, and the coffee itself was meh I wish I had done a bit more research beforehand, as I would've seen that they serve Olympia. It would be helpful if they advertised more clearly which coffee brands they use. read more

Cute little cozy coffee shop with decent coffee and baked goods. It's a nice spot to hang out with friends and they have indoor and some outdoor seating for the nice days. Their coffee leans more on the sour side which I am not personally a fan of. Overall the service is good. It is across the street from Safeway and is easy to miss if you're not looking. This was a nice spot to hang out and do work. Lots of different tables or spaces inside and outside to sit and plenty of plug ins. They do have a few bakery treats, but it's a little limited. Their matcha was alright, but I'd probably get a chai if I came back. The server was polite and helpful. I liked that they had a variety of alternative sweeteners too. I've come here a few times and will definitely be back! As for drinks, they have a pretty extensive menu including seasonal drinks including PSL, but also more creative drinks that I can't recall exactly but maybe a salted caramel and other fall-type drinks when I went in last in Nov. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte (half sweet) and it was perfect! I'll have to go back to try the other drinks! Wi-fi is free and there is also a nice outdoor (covered) space to sit on nicer days. I sometimes forget about this place given it's a bit tucked away from the main Market Street/Ballard Ave area, but it's a great option for coffee and maybe not as crowded as some of the other places nearby. read more

Steve and I ducked in here for a little while as we were needing to buy a bag of coffee beans for our daily morning coffee at home and that was good on that part. We couldn't resist and just get coffee beans and leave. We like going to coffee shops pretty regularly so we had to get some coffee drinks there. I got what I often get in the spring and summer which was an Iced Vanilla Latte which was wonderful. Great coffee shop and wonderful place to kick back and chill. read more

I really like the vibes at this place. They have great natural light, a good amount of indoor seating, and a pleasant outdoor space. The baristas were super nice and helpful. Rare place that has NON-PRESWEETENED matcha--major plus--it's pricey though! A large with oat milk and a 15% tip is over 8$, eek. My nail salon is around the corner so it's so convenient but may be some sticker shock if you're not drinking coffee. read more

I stop here sometimes after I get my nails done at Urban Nail Box. Its a cute little place. The espresso is good and has a nutty/toasty flavor, but none of the creations have ever wowed me. Located right next to the Safeway on Market in Ballard, I was thrilled to find this coffee shop! They serve Olympia coffee, which is incredible because the closest location is in West Seattle. Quaint and clean inside too! Friendly staff and affordable cup of coffee compared to other boutique shops ($6.03 before tip for a 16oz Almond Milk Latte). read more

This place is adorable! The staff is super friendly and the decor is adorable. I stopped here midday, looking for something refreshing and a nice place to work. It's a little out of the way of downtown, so there was less foot traffic compared to some of the other coffee shops in the area. They also have indoor and outdoor seating which was convenient! Great joint! Perfect for a nice coffee, clean environment, and free parking!! Not sure if this is a personal struggle, but I've had issues finding free parking around Seattle. Here, there's an entire street of free parking around the corner from this coffee shop!! Well-made coffee, amiable employee and nice cafe music provided a comfortable atmosphere. Interior designs were also great - there were lots of seats, tables and power outlets. The environment helped me get lots of reading/work done. If I'm ever around this neighborhood again, I'd come to this coffee joint in a heartbeat. read more

I ordered a coffee and forgot to say the size and the girl gave me full attitude and said "do other coffee companies not have sizes" and said to start over. Place itself is nice with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They have plugs and WiFi if you need to work or study. Coffee is decent, nothing too special. Not to mention, the coffee takes a good 10 minutes to come out, and if you ordered food - good luck!

Kalani Organica Coffee checked all the boxes so we set out to give it a try. The business is not easily identifiable as the building is unmarked and nondescript. The owner spent a generous amount of time talking with us and sharing his knowledge. He's so passionate about what he does, it's infectious. Though the location is not a coffee house - they are wholesale - the owner kindly allowed us to buy several bags of coffee. I have not made a cup yet and look forward to tasting it. I like Kalani's focus on quality, environmental impact, and keeping their operation intimate. I'm confident their coffee will be as amazing as their philosophy. My rating is for their business practice and operation which are equally important as the coffee itself. I will update once I taste the coffee. Thank you, Kalani Organica.
