Aroom Coffee has a very cute, aesthetic vibe, and I can see why it blew up on TikTok and Instagram. That said, the social media buzz has definitely changed the experience. When we went, there was a line out the door, every seat was taken, and the whole place felt very crowded. It's the kind of coffee shop I probably would have enjoyed a lot more if I had randomly stumbled upon it before it became so popular. To be fair, I'm not a coffee connoisseur. The quality has fallen off so badly since I've last been here about a year ago. It seems as if all the attention and care went to their new store on the Waterfront and they forgot about this location. The cafe seems emptier than ever. It almost feels like they're in the middle of a move-out. Even the seating was reduced to tiny little stools. Our coffee was also incredibly disappointing. My partner and I both got hot Sesame latte's and when we got them the cups were only filled up maybe 3/4 of the way! Not to mention barely ANY sesame foam. And to add to all of that, the workers kept playing the same song repeatedly with horrible language and laughing about it every time it restarted. I don't mind if a cafe plays a few songs with the occasional bad word, but this was like a parody song of the "f-word." Not a great look guys. read more

Came here after a suggestion from a friend and got to try the matcha latte, which was super delicious - the creaminess was almost like a dessert! There were pandan on top of it on the cream as well, which was a nice addition. The space was bright and airy, and there were lots of people either working on laptops or just chatting. Plenty of seating either tables or benches. The only knock would be that it is quite expensive for the volume you get (I think I nearly paid $10), but at least it is quality matcha...?. I've heard so many great things about this place and stopped by right before meeting a friend at the Seattle Marathon! Food & drink: (4/5) I don't drink coffee but I'm a sucker for Vietnamese coffee. My partner got one (not sure which) that was absolutely delicious and had a delectable foam top. For Viet coffee, I tend to look for a deep caramel flavor and a slight saltiness. This met all the marks. He also got a cinnamon roll, which was good but also just a cinnamon roll. I did love how fluffy it was and it had the classic spiced flavor. I got an iced gloomy matcha, which is a matcha with sesame creme. I thought this was just ok. Both the sesame and matcha flavor weren't as strong as I would've liked but I'm still glad to have tried it. Service (5/5): Amazing staff! I was a little confused when I first walked in because I didn't see any menus, but they quickly pointed me to it at the front counter lol. Aroom Coffee is well-known and loved for their Vietnamese-style coffee drinks. A few of us were at Aroom catching up this past Thursday afternoon. I was unsure what to order, but the barista I talked to was really helpful in making suggestions based on my preferences. I decided to order off of their Matcha list since the Aroom Signatures would have been too sweet. GLOOMY MATCHA (ICED) - 7 +1 for oat milk The matcha latte was very creamy, and the oat milk definitely enhanced it. The sesame cream mixed well with the drink, and it wasn't too sweet! However, there was a bit of bitterness at the end that I didn't enjoy. Overall, good drink, but expensive. My friends got the Vietnamese coffee-based drinks and indeed it was incredibly sweet which the enjoyed. The interior is nice and and clean, and I understand why people love Aroom. read more

We first paid a visit to Aroom in mid-2024, when we tried their signature sesame latte and pate & pork floss house cake. Everything was fine but nothing stood out. The coffee wasn't strong enough flavor-wise, and the pate in the house cake taste weird. Time went by and we returned to Aroom in 2025 to try other items. This time we found our favorites - banana coffee and banana matcha were both super delicious. The banana coffee was very strong, both flavor-wise and its potency. The plain house cake was delicious too. The nutty cloud (vegan) was also tasty - they did a good job not letting the nutty cream overpower the coffee. My only complaint now is how much ice they put into the banana matcha - for $7 before-tax, the actual drink is probably less than 8 oz, as they fill more than half the cup with ice, even when I requested less ice... Some of the best coffee in Seattle. Located in a very busy part of Fremont, get ready to circle a bit for parking, especially on the weekend. I suggest going a couple of streets over and finding parking within the neighborhoods! Easier to find parking and free all day. This is quite a popular stop, I have almost never seen it empty, even on a random weekday. On the weekend, the line can get large but because their drink menu is small and their service is fast, it usually moves quite fast. They feature great Vietnamese coffee options and one of my favorites is a sesame latte. Their sesame is PERFECT and so creamy and their viet coffee is strong but sweet enough for me. Another favorite is also the coconut coffee which brings a great complex flavor to the coffee. Their matcha is also very good! It is nice and strong which I like as well. This place is worth the drive and the wait unfortunately so I do go here a lot (my wallet does not like this). Again their menu is not huge and their food selection is small. One of the downsides of this place is their food selection which is very limited and NOT good. I have ordered once and friends have ordered a couple of times and we have never enjoyed the food that we got. One other downside is the lack of seating and the lack of tables. This place is not a great place to study because the seats are quite uncomfortable and there are limited outlets. Overall, their coffee and other drinks just stand out so much. Their service is very fast and friendly and they will adjust a drink if you do not like it. But that is where I say the highlights end. But I am confident that each time I come here, I will get a good drink. read more

What really surprised me was how much I liked the sesame latte, it wasn't too sweet and was a flavor I don't usually have with coffee, but is my number one. Before my trip to Seattle, I was researching cafes to visit (as my partner and I are very much coffee/matcha enthusiasts) when I came across this cafe on TikTok/YouTube. Aroom is a cafe within Fremont, featuring a minimal/Japandi aesthetic, with amazing drinks and pastries to complement. It is DEFINITELY a great place to study or hang, as the vibes were more chill. The staff were also extremely helpful laying out what their most popular drinks were and if they had any recommendations. I had ordered the Sesame Cream Top Latte, and my partner had ordered the Banana Cream Top Matcha, and those drinks definitely met our expectations and more! The Sesame Cream Top Latte was divine. It was nutty and sweet, and created a beautiful blend with the coffee. The matcha was earthy and had depth, so the Banana definitely contrasted that and made it brighter. I discovered Aroom while staying in Seattle over the weekend and loved this coffeeshop. The aesthetic is chic and minimal with a lot of light. The majority of the space is roomy, with small tables and chairs scattered throughout. The tables are small and low, so it doesn't look like the best space for doing laptop work however. There were a lot of customers inside, sitting and enjoying their coffees, when we came around 10 am on a Sunday morning. A few people were ahead of us in the line, but the line moved quickly. Service was friendly and welcoming and the cashier was happy to explain the differences between some of their drinks. My brother got an egg coffee while I had the black sesame latte. I tried both the egg coffee and the black sesame latte, and loved both. I was able to get the sesame latte half sweetened so the egg coffee tasted much more decadent in comparison. Though the seats and tables aren't optimal for working, it's a lovely space to while away some time with a drink and a book. If they had a location in my city, I'd be a regular. read more

I have been meaning to come here for a while and I am so disappointed in myself for NOT trying Aroom sooner. Their drinks are absolutely delicious and I love the aesthetic of the cafe. Their pandan matcha is now one of my favorite drinks in all of Seattle. The pandan cream is so good. It is very thick and creamy, moreso than I expected. The pandan flavor is super evident in the cream. The matcha is sweetened and you can still taste the matcha clearly, the sweetness and the milk did not take away from it. It is not the strongest matcha flavor, if you are looking for a drink that is very matcha forward. Together the pandan cream and matcha latte blend together well, one did not overpower the other. I think for a lot of places when they have pandan drinks, the pandan flavoring is not very strong at all, so I was very happy with Aroom's drink! I also got my boyfriend the coconut coffee. There was a good balance of coffee and coconut flavor which was really nice. I'm glad both flavors really show through the drink. I think I will come back to try the pandan coffee the next time. I am forever in debt to Aroom for introducing me to avocado coffee. Whenever I tell my friends about avocado coffee they raise an eyebrow in disgust, but hey, don't knock it 'til you try it. I stop here every time I visit Seattle to pick up this unique drink. Once or twice they didn't have the avocado coffee so I tried the egg coffee and the salty coffee. Both are a delicious and sweet treat. Service is usually good and street parking is easy to find. My only complaint is the lack of seating and tables as the place can get very busy. Updating my review to reflect their revised menu, along with the incredible customer service recently experienced! Aroom has become part of our regular rotation due to their consistently high quality drinks and broad menu offerings. While my boyfriend previously felt that the coffee was on the weaker side and he needed a second shot to achieve the perfect flavor, he feels that their coffee has improved since they opened and no longer needs the second shot. I'm also glad that they regularly mix the matcha into the drink now. While it doesn't have the cool aesthetic, it tastes much better and that's really all I care about. I also like that they've come out with a number of seasonal drinks (pandan, banana, chestnut) and I like that they have been able to modify them into a matcha latte version for the non-coffee drinkers like me. Recently, I had a terrible experience with one of their drinks. On the way home, I found out that the drink had been leaking through the bottom of a faulty cup. I contacted them about this issue, and was happy with how they quickly responded to and rectified the issue. Overall, Aroom has ousted Coffeeholic and has become our top cafe choice in Seattle. I just wish they weren't so far north, so that we could visit more often :) read more
