Update for over 17 years of coming to the best coffee house in Seattle! The roasters choice is the best coffee, it's strong! A pain to find parking but don't let that keep you from coming, just drive around the block or such.

Visiting Seattle for the first time, and this coffee shop came highly recommended by our Airbnb host so we had to check it out. And wow... they weren't kidding. The coffee here is REALLY good. We ordered a latte and an iced mocha, and both were absolutely delicious--rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Strong without being overpowering, just how we like it. Service was quick and to the point, and the vibe inside was chill and laid-back--perfect for a relaxed morning stop.

Enjoying the donut for two at Lighthouse!

Nice neighborhood coffee shop that looks to be very popular! We were thinking we weren't going to find any seating for Steve and my myself while we were at the counter waiting to make our order but two bar stools became available and we got some seating for two after all. We primarily came here to get a bag of coffee beans to take home but knew we should try a coffee drink too, a small portioned one is what we had in mind. We got a small mocha and added a dash of cinnamon to it. It was very good! That cinnamon really added a lot to it. Not really saying it needed anything else but it definitely enhanced it. The mocha was a good one with it's chocolate qualities and warming abilities. We also split an Old Fashioned donut here as well which was quite good. Very fresh and tasty for sure. My Achilles Heel for donuts and pastries I succumbed to but at least it was worth succumbing to.

Came in the morning to this cafe in Fremont for coffee. It has been making coffee locally for a few decades now and still uses the same old process. Lighthouse Roasters also has bags for sale. Good for now or for later. The cafe has a limited menu, but simple is a good thing. Basically the main thing is the coffee of course. It's got bags that you can buy here or you can order it online. The cafe is the best place to try the coffee though. Has some things that you can only get here. It's about $4 for a latte. They have a few non dairy milks including oat. Kind of limited beyond the coffee. They have a few pastries. For sure this is a place to get perked up in the morning. It's located on N. 43rd St. at Phinney. The pastries are pretty limited, with nothing here for vegans, but there's plenty of other places around to eat something.

Awesome neighborhood spot with fresh beans and a great outside sitting nook. Great spot for reading, chilling, or chatting :) this made the visit extra memorable. L We got a cappuccino, latte, and chèvre fig scone. The scone was ok but the coffee was strong and good!

We've been using coffee beans from Lighthouse Roasters forever and for good reason. The quality is consistently amazing, with rich, balanced flavor and that perfect, freshly roasted every time. A true Seattle classic we keep coming back to!

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm NOT a coffee snob/connoisseur/expert/addict. I'm don't coffee daily or drink it multiple times a day. But, if an amateur like myself thinks this coffee is amazing. Like, it must be super amazing, right? I don't know if that even makes any sense but coffee usually tastes bitter and nasty and that's why I add a ton of sugar and some milk like a true amateur that I am. But, the LIGHTHOUSE BLEND? SHoooooo, all the other coffees can move on over and go take a seat in the back where they belong. The folks here roast their coffee in-house. What a legend. A true icon. The last time I saw those big machines were over at the coffee plantation in Guatemala, in the flesh. I even bought a pack to take home and the day that it was all gone was one VERY SAD day that will go down in history. j/k Thanks, Lighthouse for sparking appreciation for coffee and to a whole new world.

Great spot - nice ambiance, service, and a good cup of coffee. Really like the outdoor patio area and long bench when the weather is nice.

Will they grind the coffee beans if you order a bag?

Yes, and they will grind it specially for whatever method you use to make your coffee (I.e. French press, pour over, stovetop).

Definitely a hopping place at the end of the workday. It's got a darker ambiance and it's cozy. It has indoor, outdoor, and patio seating, though we chose to stay indoor. Pro tip - the poofs make you sit REALLY low. The food choices around 1pm were dismal, and limited. Maybe they'd sold out, or maybe they just don't have a lot there, but nothing even looked fresh enough to warrant purchase. The other thing that killed me was the service. There was one person on the entire 4 hours I was there, and it made for an incredibly slow experience. It was friendly enough, if not a little dismissive. Prices are reasonable and there is paid parking across the street, but take that with a "for Seattle" caveat.

I was a regular here for years and in addition to spending thousands of dollars, left this location…read morea glowing, five-star review. The staff at the time were warm (Michael was the best), knew regulars by name, and made every visit feel special. The coffee was excellent and it felt like a true neighborhood gem. Over time, the people who made this place so memorable moved on, and with them went the quality and the warmth. I opted to support other local coffee shops instead. I returned recently to use a reward I had accumulated, excited to see how things had changed since my last visit. When I asked to check my rewards balance before ordering, I was told I could only do so after completing the transaction. Every other coffee shop I frequent allows this beforehand, so I pushed back to clarify. What followed was one of the most unwelcoming interactions I have experienced at any business. The staff member's tone was hostile and dismissive from the moment I asked a simple question, and it did not let up. I felt uncomfortable enough to cancel my order entirely. When I asked for a receipt to confirm my refund, she threw it away in front of me. A colleague had to ask her again on my behalf, and she snapped that she had already discarded it. Another customer standing nearby witnessed this exchange and looked visibly appalled. I reached out to the owner privately before leaving a public review, hoping to have a real conversation. She chose not to follow up with me about my experience. Instead, she wrote back to say she had already spoken with her staff and that a separate customer had contacted her to say I was the problem, and that her team had handled everything with grace. She closed by suggesting I had not met a basic standard of respect. I want to be clear: the customer she referenced appeared to be acquainted with the barista. I will leave readers to draw their own conclusions about whose account was actively sought out. I also want to note that I am not alone in this experience. Other reviewers here have flagged the same pattern of cold, unwelcoming service at this location. That tells me this is not an off day. It is worth reading those reviews before you visit. The refund for items that were never made has still not been processed, four days later, which caused me to have to reach out to an owner again. I have now been refunded. I share all of this because I think people deserve to know what to expect, both at the counter and if something goes wrong. This is not the place I once loved, and the ownership's response confirmed that.
