It was at the tail end of winter, with cold nights and wet days. Rooms have gas fireplaces, with outdoor seating and porches for warmer weather. Checkin was great in the main lodge. They had many friendly employees. There's a bar and restaurant here that I didn't have time to visit! The grounds have paved trails all over, with quick walks or bike rides to restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities. They have a free shuttle that can get you around to places quicker too! My room was gorgeous, with high ceilings, wood, and soft decor. The bathroom was very modern and comfortable. Worth the cost. Another place I really wanted to visit was the indoor heated pool area that looked amazing. Maybe next time! For the event we had catered amazing meals of local produce and meats, so many flavorful items. The event spaces all have a lodge feel to them as well, comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a few days if you're in the area.

Oh, the approach alone is a symphony of splendor! As you glide through those graceful roundabouts, a charming little waterfall greets you like an old friend, ushering you into a world of manicured elegance stately homes, emerald golf courses flanking both sides, and the majestic silhouette of Mount Bachelor reigning supreme in the background like a crowned monarch. Deer, elk, and geese roam freely amid the whispering pines, while the vast, azure sky paints the most breathtaking ambiance imaginable. Champagne skies, my dears pure, unadulterated magic! And then, the pièce de résistance: our exquisite accommodations perched on the front lawn, where vaulted ceilings soar to heavenly heights and luxurious tilework graces the bathroom like a private spa. The bed? A cloud of divine indulgence you simply melt into its plush embrace, feeling as if you've stepped aboard the most opulent cruise ship imaginable. Step onto the deck, and the views transport you to paradise itself. The amenities? Simply divine! Soothing hot tubs bubbling under the stars, sparkling pools that beckon for a dip, winding trails that invite leisurely strolls through postcard-perfect scenery this place is straight out of a collector's edition postage stamp, alive and vibrant! We arrived amid melting snow and enjoyed glorious skiing on nearby slopes, but imagine the summer symphony of championship golf or the winter wonderland transformation into a snowy fantasia. Every season here is a masterpiece. Was it crowded? Perhaps in peak times one might hunt for the perfect lounge chair, but honestly, who cares when the entire experience is this over-the-top extraordinary? This is no mere resort it's a sanctuary of unparalleled beauty and refinement. Sunriver Resort isn't just a destination; it's a lifestyle upgrade. I give it five glittering stars and then some. If you're not utterly over the moon upon arrival, well... you simply haven't arrived yet! Champagne wishes and caviar dreams fulfilled Sunriver Resort delivers it all, and more. Restaurant review:…read more About as old-school as they get in these parts, the Bend Golf Club restaurant/lounge is open to the public. No membership required. Ambiance is true to the genre: open area with numerous cloth-covered four tops as well as a few larger tables. Naugahyde (I think) lounge chair seating. Golf playing on the several TVs scattered about. No loud music. It's definitely casual. There's a small bar seating maybe six. About those chairs - they're horrible. If you have even a slightly cranky back, you'll hate them. I certainly do. - Service is good, efficient. Not top tier but certainly nothing to grumble about. Your order is taken quickly, drinks arrive soon and the food not too much later. We've had to wait for our our server to notice we needed drink refills a couple of times. - I mentioned the bar, which despite my being a dedicated bar-rat I don't think I'd want to sit at. They have only several beers on draft, well below Bend standards. If you're looking for booze or wine, they have it. - The menu is old school American with a few outliers. Salmon fish & chips, for example, are pretty good (they also have the more standard cod F&C). Several salads - I tried the SW steak salad, which despite having a nice cut of beef was not remarkable. Ribs, burgers, wings, pasta, shrimp, pork chops, etc, are all available. They do have the Impossible Burger, if you're into that. - And they have specials. That SW steak salad was one, but there's also prime rib night (Saturday, I believe) and a four-course dinner on Thursday for $25. - Prices for the food are maybe a tad high but not outrageous by any means. Before you tip, check for added gratuity on your bill. Drink prices are in line with what you expect in Bend. Hours change with the season, I'm told (by a member). During winter, it's open Thursday - Sunday. Otherwise (i.e., when the golf course is operating) it's open every day except Monday. The website doesn't reflect that. Bottom line? It's OK and if you're a member, it's certainly a good option for you. As a destination? Not so much. Unless you like to watch golf while you drink & dine.

Breakfast service was friendly and courteous. Very quiet. Same spot for no vibe 19th hole drinks. Bartender needs service training. Better to go out into town for the after round. Most of the employees were friendly and spoke when they saw me. Many of the employees were helpful. My room had everything I needed including two beds, a large shower, a patio with a table and two chairs, toiletries, a Nespresso coffee maker (also included coffee, tea, sugar, honey, and creamer). The room had a sink, microwave, and mini fridge. There was also a couch, good quality tv, and a fire place. I liked that I've was available and it was pre-bagged to ensure cleanliness. The bathroom had a his and her sink setup, the shower is separate from the toilet, and the air conditioner was perfect, when needed. My only dislike about the room was the outlet near the bed. There was only one outlet available for a device that was not a phone or laptop. I needed to hook up a medical device and the outlet was too far from the top of the bed. I used the hot tub, sauna, steam room, and trails. At times, the women's locker room was a dirty mess. It would have been nice for someone to stay on top of keeping it clean. During the conference, we were served food, coffee, tea, and drinks. All the staff attending to us were great. Anything we needed, they provided it. I would for sure visit again!
