I hold my golf tournaments every year at Quail Run and I couldn't be more pleased. The golf course is always in pristine condition when we play and one of the nicest courses in the general bend area. The green fees are comparable to other courses and offers a challenge for all skill levels. The golf professional Todd Sickles greets our group with a smile and is always accommodating to our every need and goes out of his way for us to have a successful golf tournament experience. Went on a golf trip to Bend last week and this was our first track. Tucked away from the highway and homes. Nice grass driving range. Good pro shop service. Nice carts. First tee starter was helpful and gave us tips since it was our first time. Played with 2 locals. Course maintenance: all areas were very well maintained, tee boxes, fairways, greens. Layout: fun and engaging with a variety of different length holes- par 5's were challenging, so were par 3's. Loved the tree lined fairways except when I hit into them. lol. Best part- pace of play advice from starter 2:06 for 9 holes! Marshall came by 2-3 x each nine and thanked our group for keeping up. Ended up playing in 4 flat with every tee time booked on a Sunday. The marshals on the course were complete assh$&es. We were tossing empty trash from our bags and they reamed us for having cans not bought from the course. They also harassed us for not playing fast enough even though we're were waiting for the group ahead of us for 16 holes. No drink cart. We had a group of 10. Never again. read more

Great locals course! Amazing course central Oregon gem! Great food and bar. Pro Staff is great the assistant golf pro Josh is always a great pro. I would definitely play here if you are in the area. A-OK Quail Run plays quite nicely and offers a fine golf experience. - Greens were in great shape. Many are multi-tiered, so local knowledge on approach shots would be handy. - Fairways are decent. They tend to get a bit patchy near the edges and in a few spots in the middle, but generally if you hit a good drive, you'll be rewarded with a good lie. - Bunkers, of which there are quite a few, need more sand. Despite Central Oregon being in a virtual drought this summer, many were hard packed. It's disappointing when you execute a proper bunker shot and get such poor results. Weakest part of the course. - Pace of play for our round was abysmal. The marshall came by twice to advise us that the groups ahead were playing slow and we should be patient. Perhaps he might have suggested they speed up? - No beverage cart service. They do have water at the tee boxes. - Pro shop staff are great. - Nice practice putting green and an even nicer separate practice chipping and bunker green. A driving range as well. - Very walkable course, even if you're not in great shape. Lying near the Deschutes River floodplain, the course is fairly flat. There are some small elevation changes, but not many. Push cart rentals available at the pro shop. - Interestingly, even with the proximity to the river, there are few water hazards. - Price is a tad high, I think. I can play Widgi Creek for less in the afternoon and it's a better course. - Quail Run is moderately difficult according to its rating. White tees (Men): 70.0/125 for a bogey rating of 91.9 (6353 yds) Gold tees (Men): 68.4/124 for a bogey rating of 91.4 (6047 yds) Red tees (Men): 65.2/113 for a bogey rating of 86.0 (5422 yds) White tees (Women): 75.9/142 for a bogey rating of 102.3 (6353 yds) Gold tees (Women): 74.2/138 for a bogey rating of 99.8 (6047 yds) Red tees (Women): 70.6/127 for a bogey rating of 94.2 (5422 yds) There are also blue tees (the tips, which I always ignore being not very good at this game) and the scorecard rates a White/Gold members mix for both men and women. The owner is selfish and rude. He made several disparaging remarks to us for having a 4.5 hour round, and we routinely and patiently waited for the group in front of us. After the round I told the owner that I did not appreciate being talked to that way, and he immediately banned me from the course. Also called me a moron. Not nice, and I won't be back. read more

Best course for the average golfer that I've played in Central Oregon. Well maintained course with reasonable rates in a beautiful setting. Staff are friendly, service is good, and overall vibe is more welcoming than the resort courses in the area. Highly recommend. read more

Excellent golf course that is in great shape. The layout of the links makes it easy to play quickly. Correct amounts of sand traps and water hazards but not over challenging. I played the Meadows course in Sunriver for $100 and this course was far and away the better course and experience all around. Shot terribly but everything was so green that I didn't even care. Played there yesterday 9/2/2021, came from Sunriver area and there was a major crash on 97 going south so we were late for our tee times. Called the pro shop and there were extremely accommodating! The course was in absolutely fabulous condition, fairways were beautiful and greens were perfect but quick. Highly recommend this gem just south of Sunriver. And the price was very reasonably even with a cart. Played under 4hrs. Alittle slow but so worth it‍ read more

I have been wanting to play this course for years but just oft have the opportunity until today. Was not disappointed. The complete course is in immaculate shape from tee boxes to greens. Fairways are tree lined but the underbrush is cleared enough to make an errant shot, I had many, easy to locate and hit out. The staff from groundskeepers to the Covey Bar are all very friendly and really make the round and after round enjoyable. Highly recommend booking a tee time when in the Lapine area. read more

Awesome course, bad experience. We are from out of town and were looking to get a round of golf in. We made tee times for 14:04 and 14:12. My husband and I play golf frequently and took some of our family who are new to golf. We took two sets of clubs and planned on renting two more (one per cart for $30 each). We arrived at 13:30 to the club house and were asked immediately if we were experienced golfers or not. We told them some were, however we would be playing a scramble to keep us moving. After hearing that, the guy at the desk decided to give our tee times to the people behind us who had not yet arrived and have us go behind them. He then informed us that we each had to have a set of clubs, even though we were playing a scramble and one per cart would be sufficient. We got on the course to find the rental clubs my husband received had a broken shaft. $160 dollars later per couple and late tee times, we started. At the 3rd hole the Marshall came and told us there was a complaint we were going too slow even though we were directly behind the party they let go in front of us and had nobody behind us for 1 and 1/2 holes. I said the people who complained are more than welcome to come sit behind the people in front of us just like we are if they feel it necessary. The Marshall agreed there was no need for a complaint. We did not feel welcomed at this course and felt rushed the entire time. We paid like everyone else, and should get to enjoy the course too. ESPECIALLY when we are behind the group they let go in front of us. Overall was a pretty course but wasn't a good experience or good vibe at all. read more

If you're not an "experienced" golfer and you tell them that, they will treat you like crap. My friend was honest and said he was new, and the owner straight up told him they don't like that and made him feel not okay to play. Absolutely horrible management, owner is a disrespectful SOB. I would like to think that my experience at the course was just a fluke. For the last day of our family vacation to sunriver, we ventured out to golf with two young teen boys that have limited golf experience. Unfortunately the way we were treated may have turned them off to the sport. We arrived just before our tee time and were told that they had given our spot away and we would have to take the next time. Then we were told that we needed to hurry so that we did not hold up the next tee time. We also were told we could not share clubs as it would slow the pace of the game. They made us wait to get clubs from the course, which we did not use, because they were not the right size. We proceeded out and started, not five minutes into our start the manager came out again as our boys were trying to get started and told us to hurry. We proceeded to hit our balls again and another lady from the clubhouse came out and told us to hurry. We decided that if anyone else came out to hurry us, then we would ask for a refund and leave. The marshall drove by to check on us a little while later. It was bordering on harassment. All in all our 9 holes took us 2 hours.... we were not moving terribly slow! They were downright rude!!! The course was ok, the carts were fine. We will not be returing nor will we recommend our family and friends to use this course. read more

Beautiful location, great course and the friendliest staff you could ask for. Really an amazing value. If you're in the area, it's well worth the short drive from Bend/Sunriver and is very easy to get to from Highway 97. When I'm in town, I wouldn't consider playing anywhere else! read more

This is a great course for varying skill levels. It's a beautiful open course with a good mix of par 3, 4 and 5's. The owner/pro is a really good guy, helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful experience here and we would play again, for sure. read more

We visited in 2019 and was absolutely treated horribly, not only by the assistant manager but also the owner. We were harassed several times while on the course and the owner called me a B*%$*! When you have a group of 8 people and you pay full price, purchase carts and food it's really unfortunate to be treated this way. I had to give 1 star, but I wouldn't have otherwise. The prior owner was amazing, accommodating, friendly, etc. The new owner is horrible and clearly all about the mighty $. RUDE RUDE RUDE! We will NEVER play there again and will NEVER recommend to anyone. Having my family work in the golf industry for the past 80 years I have never seen or experienced anything like this. read more

My husband and I had such a great experience at Quail Run. The course is absolutely beautiful, we even saw an Elk on one of the holes! Todd Sickles the pro was very helpful and made sure that our experience from start to finish was a great one. Be sure that you stop in at the snack bar and have Kathy make you one of her famous sandwiches. This course really is a little piece of heaven.
