I plan a spring and fall trip, and always stay at Sun Outdoors. My favorite rv sites are near the beach access and the tiki bar. Their specialty is crushes, fresh squeezed fruit beverages and some evenings there is a live band and a roaring beach campfire. Ahhh, the good life!

It's a smaller State park and slightly confusing with the direction's but the staff was helpful just get a map. We camped in a "walk back" section of E. Very spacious sites with the bathroom/shower reasonably close. Parking was "ok"..... but they fill up and then you have to use overflow. The bathrooms/showers were clean BUT I guess I'm used to sites that spray repellent because nature is boss. We drove through the comfort sites of D and they were too tight for my liking. They have yurts and cabins but for me a tad too close. They do have an Island camp site Loved it!!!!! That's a must do. It's 2 sites across a short walking bridge with water view and access. I would definitely go back.

One thing I don't understand is why the Park Maintenance people don't cut the Wisteria growth on the trees? Some trees have vines over two inches in diameter. This stuff will choke a tree to death over time! Great walk ... very pretty sights. Fall colors will make it a much nicer walk!

Smaller bedroom has no way to even cool down other than a window (no fan or ac) so if it's warm, that room will be unbearable. And I'm fairly convinced it wasn't clean. There was a long hair on the shower wall (I have a shaved head) and globs/streaks of toothpaste in the sink.

The fire rings were very nice to look at but they were too tall for air to circulate for your fire. We were not able to get our fire going. Our neighbors did but only because they brought a blow torch so we gave them our firewood before we left. The club house was very nice and the water park that comes with your stay was also nice though a little bit of a drive away. We enjoyed the pool and putt putt course. The store was also very useful especially with how you can get breakfast before leaving while packing up if you don't want to dirty dishes last minute by cooking yourself. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

It was an absolute joy. I would've recommend this to anyone. Even the trails that were rocky that go outback through the woods we did on a street bike no problem. They seem to be very well-maintained trails. At one point you had the super long bridge that goes over a swampy area, which is really cool too. On the way up on the trail, we saw a turtle crossing the trail on the way back. We saw but I assume is the same turtle taking a hole with his back legs. I don't know why I spent my whole life going to the Jersey shore. You drive an extra hour. You could come down here and have a super nice beach that's not packed and the super nice trails that you can bicycle too.

The ones in H loop are really squeezed in and have less space and no privacy. It's hard to book a site, and so frustrating to see empty sites that have been booked but not used. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest camping bathrooms I've ever seen. They're pretty well maintained. The horses do wander free, and you need to be careful with food on your site, as explained by the park rangers. But it's fun to see them and watch them. The camp hosts are good about cleaning and maintaining the area they're each in charge of. The beaches are nice and it's fun to go clamming out in the bay. A very quick drive will take you to Ocean City, to the boardwalk, to go karts, Walmart, Wawa, the movie theater, etc. Lots close by to do if you get caught there on a rainy day. Lovely place to visit.

Assateague is so cool!... Particularly on a breezy day when the flies can't takeoff…read more During a trip to Ocean City, we visited Assateague on the Maryland end. I was so eager to see the horses I heard about, but weary we might not see any. Maybe we were lucky, because we saw sooo many horses! On the road, in the parking lots, in marshes, wandering, grazing, standing on front of cars. So cute! Stop at the visitors center first. Very nice place, helpful information, exhibits, a touch tank, bathrooms, gift shop and then you'll be on your way. Admission per vehicle gets you access for a week. We loved spending a few hours here so much that we came back a second day. The beaches are clean and not crowded. Lots of dogs, so be warned if you're averse. The marsh trail was really cool. We saw several small fishies, pipefish, crabs, egrets, just really cool to look in the water throughout the trail and observe. Bayside beaches are hidden spots for isolated swims. I saw a family here and there just swimming completely alone. The forest trail was also a good one to walk. More interesting nature. We weren't too crazy about the dune trail. Although, it was interesting to see the old abandoned road in the middle of the dune. Horses here there and everywhere, almost. Overall, such a fun place to visit. Go for a few hours or spend the day. Remember, ensure it's breezy and you'll be almost completely fly free.

Something about the sprocket was bent. Ugh! Instead, I sprayed some sunblock on my arms neck and face, put on a hat, and took a walk. The beach is stunning. Flat, warm, sunny and not overly crowded for a July weekend. While the beach is not step free, they're trying hard to make it as accessible as possible with mats and ramps that can support a wheelchair. That's awesome. I did see a bunch of offroaders. Apparently, you can get a permit to bring your 4WD onto the beach. Pretty darned awesome, that is! What are those huge concrete structures? They're WWII-era bunkers! Yes, these huge installations were built to counter the fear of German U-boats invading Philadelphia via the Delaware River. Endeavor Point is a Paradise! Everything about this place is…read moremagnificent, starting with the hostesses, Sophie and Beth. Communication with both was great from booking to leaving. Located by the Patuxent River with a breathtaking view, Endeavor Point, is a ridden gem with campground, private beaches you can swim, a huge fishing pier, and cottages for rentals. From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

Sounds like On nice days a lot of boats pull up to hang out as well which is super cool. Overall I'd pick Roaring Point over OCMD any day because it's less crowded and more chill. My friends and I were basically the only people there and people typically pay loads of money for that type of exclusivity whereas here it's free.
