We have used them several times since we have lived in our house. They are prompt quick and fair priced. This past Saturday we had a real bad wind storm pass through and heavily damaged one of our trees in the front yard. Called Monday morning and they were out at our house taking care of the job by noon. We just decided to cut down the tree since every bad storm that passes, it almost always gets damaged. Bought a groupon.. Dennis came to our home and told me what he could do for $200.00 We scheduled the appointment for 5 weeks later .. The day he was supposed to come I made a call to make sure make sure we were still on and he told me he had me on his schedule for the following week.. Woodruff Tree Service was very responsive to my need for an emergency tree removal after a storm in December 2017. Dennis, the owner responded very quickly to my text and came by approximately 90 minutes later to give me a quote. He then got right to work and had the tree down and cut up within 45 minutes. After removing the tree he raked and cleaned up the site very nicely. Dennis Woodruff was great to work with and I would recommend him for your tree trimming or lawncare needs. We have used Woodruff a few years ago that's why we called again. We decided to hold off until spring. Then we changed our minds and asked for a quote for part of the job. We got the quote and it looked okay, so we texted for an appointment. Woodruff had previously been here and knew the scope of the job. I waited until 1 'oclock and sent a text asking for an approximate time. He did not respond. When his team showed up finally they were not prepared with the right tools and said they wouldn't take out the couple of volunteer saplings. They didn't even have a shovel! I texted Woodruff complaining about the lateness of their arrival and being unprepared to do the work. He wrote that we were told we were third in line. Wasn't true, so I sent him what he said in his schedule. No mention of being third in line. Anyway I asked if he was still interested in the work, and he told me I'd better find someone else. No attempt to correct his mistake. I find his cavalier attitude toward my time, and his unconcern to be strikes against him. My advice is don't use Woodruff unless you don't mind being mistreated. read more

The owner promised me he'd be at my home to supervise the trimming. I only accepted his bid because of this. He didn't show up and didn't tell me he wasn't going to show up. I sent his men away and contacted me. He was abrupt and short with me. I will never use this service again. read more

I bought a voucher for $200 towards tree trimming (I paid $100) on 7/5. I contacted Dennis on 7/7 and we agreed he'd come out "early to mid afternoon tomorrow" to give me an estimate. When I still hadn't heard from him by 3:15 the next day, I asked to reschedule for Monday. He said he could do Wednesday between 1 and 3pm. Finally showed up at 3:45 on Wednesday and gave an estimate of $275 to trim 2 trees (one is small). Dennis took multiple cell phone calls while he was over to give the estimate. He was EXTREMELY unprofessional. Cursing about other customers while on the phone and name calling after hanging up. He said he couldn't do the job until 8/8! I expressed disappointment that it was so far out but, agreed. Dennis text on 8/7 and asked to reschedule for 8/11. On 8/11 Dennis text and asked to reschedule for "maybe Sunday or maybe Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday". I had it! I told him I felt like a chore/bother instead of valuable business. I also informed him that I had gotten another bid that was almost a full $100 cheaper! I said I hoped his tree trimming skills were better than his customer service. He responded by advising me to request a refund for my voucher and getting a "cheaper outfit to do my job". He has NO customer service skills or organization/scheduling skills. VERY unprofessional and he makes up for the "voucher" by overbidding on the jobs. So happy I got a refund and went with another company that knows how to treat their customers! read more

I have had a coupon for Woodruff Tree Trimming service for over 2 years. The first time I called, someone came right out to bid removal of 2 very large pear trees. Woodruff's price was double (690.00) the price that the other 2 companies I called bid me. I told them that, and they offered a 100.00 discount if I had them do it today. When I explained they would still be 200.00 more than the other 2 companies and it didn't make sense to use them, I asked for a refund. No response whatsoever....6 months later I called to have some other trees removed, I called 3 different times and was told someone would be right out to bid them. Waited and waited and finally asked for a refund again. In the mean time I have had almost every tree removed that I needed taken out for an extensive remodel of our yard. When I requested a refund again last month, the owner told me he hadn't been aware there was a problem and would come right out and look at the remaining 2 trees! 6 weeks later still waiting.
