This was our first time taking our camper out, and what a great experience! We chose to stay here because they have full hookups, bathrooms and showers on-site, and they exceeded our expectations. Both were exceptionally clean throughout our stay. I noticed a review mentioning there weren't enough bathrooms, but that wasn't our experience at all. We never had an issue, and the facilities were always clean and well maintained. Check-in was quick and easy, the campground was clean, and everyone we encountered was friendly. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax. We stayed during a fire ban, and the campground handled everything well without any issues. One of the highlights of our trip was taking our kids for ice cream at the campground. They serve ice cream every evening from 6-9 p.m. (except Sundays, if I remember correctly), and it was such a fun treat that our kids looked forward to. It was a small touch that made our stay even more memorable. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and welcoming campground. We can't wait to come back! read more

Mountain Views is a first class resort on the banks of the Rio Grande just outside Creede, CO. Beautiful location with nice cabins and spots for RVs of all sizes. The Customer Service is non-existent at this campground. The office made a mistake (Shai & Devin) with my refund after asking BEFOREHAND that they refund me via check (which was offered) by Devin because the cc we had used had been closed. They refunded the CLOSED cc and now we're out $350. The frustrating part is that we had ASKED in writing for a solution PRIOR to this taking place. They not only won't refund our money but they aren't offering any type of resolve. Shai is supposedly the owner's Daughter who claims she's part owner. God forbid you try to get a word in edgewise with her!! Bottom line is that they made a mistake and are unwilling to fix it! Very nicely done RV resort. Built up with their landscaping. If you have a dog, make sure to reserve a spot near the dog relief area so you're not walking far to let your dog out. There is grass but they try to keep it nice and don't want your dogs on it. Nothing really "resorty" about this place for the price you pay. It is a parking lot layout. There are nice views of the mountains when you're outside the resort. Not many chances to see the views while you're in it. Great access to the river for fishing. read more

If you would like to stay at a RV Park where they drive around with armed weapons giving you go to hell looks....look no further! Also, no need to worry about grass because there is none. If you would like to take your sweet pup for long walks on gravel and feel like your a criminal for even owning a dog, well here ya GO! If you're under the age of 75 and like to laugh and enjoy life, I don't recommend this RV Park. We had made reservations last December with the rest of my family and the completely messed up everyone reservations and could care less. We ended up dry camping at Marshall's national campgrouafter one night at Mountain View's, feels like I lost a year of my life for not even being at Mountain View for only 24 hours. Will say they have a lovely entrance......for a prison. PS. They DO NOT care if they mess up your reservation. They're heartless unless you have a high dollar Class A motor home, then you're royalty. read more

First off. Yes there is a lot gravel at this resort. If that is a deal breaker then stay away. However, we loved this place. We love grass as much as the next guy, but we were able to get over the gravel and really enjoy the park. Check in staff was friendly and extremely helpful telling us about some of the great things to do in Creede. Sites are reasonably wide. Wi-Fi may be one of the best we have ever found in an rv park. Grounds are kept well and the views are amazing. We will definitely come back. There are two sections. One is where sites are owned and rented (resort). And another section is typical rental sites (no owners). We opted for the less expensive renter section and were glad we did. Yes certain sites in the owners section are very nice. Others are not. If you happen to get a great site then maybe the extra cost is worth it. Last point, Creede is awesome. Loved the hiking trails, the jeep trials and the cute little downtown. read more

There is quite a difference between the resort side and the rental spots. The website touts beautifully landscaped sites, bronze statues and fountains, and that is true. On the resort side. Meanwhile, on the rental side...I got out of the truck while my husband was backing our trailer into our site, and my immediate reaction was, "oh, I get it, we are the riff-raff, and it's like we're in steerage", you know, like on the Titanic? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. The sites at Mountain Views are plain gravel with weeds growing in them, and each one contains a crappy, paint-peeling, falling apart picnic table, with a puny tree at the edge of the site. There is no shade. It's often windy so if you value your awning, you aren't going to put it out. This is not a family friendly resort in any way, shape or form. Compared to a KOA or Jellystone, there were zero amenities for family activities. For example, no pool, no putt-putt, no hayrides, no rock painting, no root beer floats, etc., which were all included in our latest KOA visit. Also, fellow campers are usually friendly and welcoming, and this was not that! We are quiet, respectful campers, but our kids were yelled at for riding their bikes over 5 MPH, by hostile, intimidating, long-term residents who threatened to call the owner to have us kicked out. Ridiculous! All in all, we didn't feel like welcomed, valued customers at this resort. In fact, it felt like they thought they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay there. We as a group will never return to this campground again - it was not a "resort" for us, and overall, a very unpleasant experience! read more

I am being gracious with a two star rating, my parents are amputees and need a handicap cabin this campground has NONE.....The park itself is BEAUTIFUL and I get it the cabins are over 100 years old but why can't y'all build at least 2 handicap accessible cabins, (wider doorways for wheelchairs and a walk in shower with no steps that's big enough for a shower chair and NO step to enter the cabin RAMPS ONLY.) I understand wanting to keep with the historic factors, but it would have made this trip a whole lot more enjoyable to not see your parent get irritated when they don't fit in somewhere. read more

Great location on Colorado 149 just a short distance from Creede town center. Large back in camping sites with wide drives so the most inept drivers like me can back in like a pro. Sites are gravel with a small table. The site we were in had 20, 30 and 50 amp hook up. Host take care of what you need and then leave you alone. Wifi.... well if you need a good connection it's not going to happen. Emails, OK internet search no. Great views of the mountains. People bring their ATVs and are able to access trails and back country roads. read more

If you want to be surrounded by political and religious signs (including some put up by the park itself in common areas) this is the park for you. Also, don't be fooled by the high class descriptions on their website. The rental spaces are far different than the owner purchased spaces. The rental spots are very close together and not nearly as well maintained with weeds growing in the gravel. Also, a lot of the rentals seem to be used for long term stays with people spreading their personal items alongside their rvs (including tents and political and religious signs). The vibe of this park is that those staying short term are on the longer renters turf. Every other license plate was from Texas. If I wanted to be preached to about Texas values I would go to Texas. No thanks. I was intimidated to even have CNN or MSNBC on in my RV with the windows open. What a shame because downtown Creede is charming and the Bachelor Loop drive is scenic. read more

the views from this park are spectacular. there is a big difference between the owner side vs the renters side of the park. lots are too close together, the roads and sites are gravel. the internet and cell phone service is horrible. they have a nice dog park, but due to the number of lots, they could use two parks. the on site food truck serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. very good food. close to the cute town of Creede. read more

It's not really kid friendly but that's one of the reasons I love this place. It's beautiful and clean and many amenities. The RV sites are really wide as well. The grounds are well kept and the staff is friendly. The laundry is a bit over priced and its one of the more expensive sites we have stayed at but I would come here again. Very beautiful. The ladies in the office are so great! So nice so friendly! Great shared facilites. We rented a sleep cabin fully knowing what we were getting just beds we had to bring all linens. No fridge no tv. That was fine. It was very dirty with spider webs everywhere. Great rustic, it could just use a good cleaning. Overall it was great! Our friends had a rv spot and it was perfect! read more

First, the location is wonderful. Its only about 2 miles into Creede, and if you bring your ATV you can ride to town and the national forest directly from the camp. The unit spaces were large enough to park ATVs and other vehicles, and the park was clean. The driveways and spaces are thoughtfully laid out to accommodate even the largest RV. The shower houses were always clean, plenty of hot water, and the grounds were clean and inviting. Overall I really enjoyed the park. I rarely write a negative aspect, but the information below was experienced in different ways with the "security guard", who identified himself proudly as Robert Cole as I recall. I would have cheerfully given this RV Resort 5 stars except our party (and some others we heard about around a communal campfire ring) were subject to an over zealous "security" fellow who took his job far too seriously. Really, I have to wonder, If im paying good money in a park thats got lots of built in, non human, security safeguards (ie gates with codes to enter) why the owners feel the need to have Robert Cole ( aka Barney Fife, as we dubbed him) ride around in a golf cart with the huge word SECURITY in blocky stickers affixed to the windshield AND a light that flashes on top. Creede is not an unsafe place, and RVers tend to look after their 'neighbors'. ---May I suggest that instead of SECURITY, which sounds overly authoritative, perhaps you could put something softer like COURTESY PATROL on the old golf cart? Here are a few examples of the overzealous feats perpetrated by the golf cart riding 'law man' as he so nicely put it on one of my lectures about some minor infraction. First, yes rules are important, but we must look at the reasonableness and the harm that any infraction may present to the current posture of the park. Note, that no other security personnel hassled us. All of the following occurred while Officer Cole (Fife) was on duty. Example one. One driving into the park from a ride in my ATV, the speed limit it 5MPH. Fair enough, my ATV seems to go from 4 to 7 on the digital display, and with that 7 MPH I was technically 'speeding'. I was pulled over by Office Cole and warned that I needed to watch my speed. Truthfully, I think its unreasonable to stop me and lecture me about doing 7MPH in a 5MPH zone. Really? This was my first encounter and set a poor tone for me as a paying customer. He never said thank you, or have a nice evening, just wanted to argue the point that he had pegged me at a speed that in his mind was unreasonable. A second incident involving Office Cole. My sister and brother in law, who own the 45' coach had taken their old german Shepard for a walk. After doing his business in the pet area, my sister realized they were short a bag to clean up after the dog. My sister stepped away from offending excrement so that the dog might finish while my brother in law made a brisk walk back to the camper to get clean up bags. My sister wasnt 15 feet from the poo when office Fife pulled up and without preamble began to lecture my sister about the parks policy on pet waste collection and disposal. Ummm, as she later told me, they have been to dozens of parks and know that cleaning up after a pet it a must. I have 4 other petty incidents which I could list in detail, but I think anyone who has read this far realizes that as nice as the park is, if a staff member is taking his job too seriously without concern to the customer service aspects of the job (I assume the owners want people to return) leaves the paying, and rule abiding guest feeling as though they have committed an offense that can get them evicted. My advise to the owners is explain to Robert Cole that he is not the highway patrol and each person he sees is not intentionally breaking a rule. I encourage the owners to contact me, I would be happy to discuss further my experience. Oh, as a side note, Officer Cole told me that the owners were not available at any time to speak about rules, that his job was to make sure the every rule was enforced. This sounded odd, but then again, im just a paying customer. read more

Won't stay here again, terrible service. I booked our site back in January for July 4th weekend, a busy weekend understandably. When booking, I was told we would be on the "rv resort" side. Ok? Upon arrival and check-in, we were escorted to our site, driving through all the improved sites (tenants with long term leases who build out their sites). We drove to our site, which is raw dirt and knee high weeds. I told the Loretta it looked "dumpy", and her only apology was that she shouldn't have driven us through the improved sites. Due to the holiday weekend she said they didn't have anything available. After getting level on the slanted site, we went back to the office to discuss. Asked her why we were on the resort side and not the RV park side, which all sites were typical and more maintained, also closer to the facilities and wi-fi. I asked her why I was paying the same as RV park side when I don't have a maintained site and no wi-fi. Her only response was that she couldn't do anything about the weeds and would have the owner call me. After 3 days, still no call. Would have immediately left if we would have been able to find another park with availability... Nice grounds overall, good location. Lack of care for supposedly a high-end park was quite surprising. read more

We traveled to Creede last summer with my parents. This RV resort was everything we needed and more. The views are incredible and the staff makes this place that much better. The historical town of Creede is an awesome place to visit with lots of cool shops and fantastic restaurants. No complaints. We will be back! read more

This is a pretty park, clean and spacious sites. But it is very expensive for what you get. They don't have cable and still charge almost $300 just for a week. The Verizon service is 5 bars on Extended service. You can't even get TV channels on your Air antenna in the park. The laundry is expensive also. read more

This is a beautiful, wonderfully landscaped, quiet RV park and resort. Sites are large and roomy, all sizes of trailers, 5th wheels and motor homes excepted. The owners and their staff are friendly and professional. Has a huge laundry room, restrooms with showers, and 2 lodges. Amenities are many and the lodges and everything are kept immaculate. The Rio Grande River borders one side of the park. Also surrounded by mountains. It has a gate with a code for entry. Close to Creede, CO with restaurants, grocery store, museum, post office, bank, sporting goods stores and gift shops. Great place for a short or long stay. read more

Based on a non-rver's suggestion, we happened to stumble into Creede, CO. Per chance we booked a site at Mountain View RV Park not knowing what to expect. WE WERE THOROUGHLY AMAZED! The 'RV park/resort' is meticously manicured throughout and attractively adorned with numerous bronze statues and water features. Every common building is tidy and appealig, een the laundry. Never seen better facilities. The owner, Roland, gave us the grand tour of the entire property. If you get the chance to take the tour, do so. THIS PROPERTY IS AMAZING! One section is owned by individuals. GORGEOUS! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! read more

Five stars for location and absolutely immaculate, manicured grounds. Staff are friendly and helpful. A few things were not five star worthy so I split the difference. The Internet is not at all as advertised. It is nonexistent unless you are standing near the office or have a booster in your RV. 3G is free And very, very slow but you must pay additional for the 5G access. None of that is available throughout the park, only near the office. The "fishing pond" is only open from 8 to 5, which makes no sense since the best fishing is in the early morning and evening. And lastly, they profess to be pet friendly, but the rules for dogs are a little over-the-top. Dogs are not allowed to walk on anything green, so if your dog cannot do his business on gravel you are out of luck. They do have a fenced area they call a "dog run" but it is pretty small and unfortunately a lot of the pet-parents did not pick up after their dogs so that area was pretty dirty. I know the dog rules are to keep the wonderful grounds in good shape, but keeping a dog off grass is a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I doubt we will go back. read more
