Horrible service! Hired Dean for a custom door install in our home; start to finish job. We told…read morethem at hire it would have to be custom because no doors fit the width, we had to hire someone else to take the door frame off to measure the width. They messed up the original price on the contract but then charged us the same amount to cover up the mistake (taxed the labor on the first contract). After 2 months our custom door came in and when the install team showed up, there was a chunk out of the door which they didn't fix. The install team didn't know what the job description was as they thought it was install only and I had to show them the contract that described paint and install. They didn't have any door hardware even though it was supposed to be a start to finish job, so we had to go to their store where they didn't have the hardware needed to complete the job (we would have to install ourselves). Additionally, the plastic covering the windows for painting was left on and we will have to razor the edges and remove it ourselves. We will never use Dean for a home job again.

Originally I went to McCormick to match the paint that was used by my builder but McCormick's friendly customer service and great quality paints keeps me returning. I think it also helped that they gave me a fan deck (thank you!) on my first visit which I still use. I've used many gallons of their paints. I've also used a variety of their products and I've only had one issue - a low VOC paint that skunked. Indoors I've used 1st Step primer, Total Advantage and Revo on my walls and Advantage (now discontinued) and Revo on my trim. Outdoors I've used the State House exterior paint. When I had to paint metal railings outside I trusted their Interlock Direct to Metal paint. All of these paints went on easily and have held up great. As a bonus, they sell caulk in their standard paint trim colors like White Shadow and Cool Platinum which is super helpful!
