I saw less expensive rates for other dates, so it may have been high for the Holiday. We stayed in Suite 7, which faces the parking lot but you can see the ocean from the kitchen. Because we were traveling, we didn't check our email in the morning. Why should this matter? When we got there we kept looking for the office. Heads up - no office. I went to call them to see what we should do when I found a text message telling me what the code for the door was. Again, we were traveling and I am not the sort of person who is glued to my phone. Just a heads up if you stay here. You don't check in - you get a text. This 'suite' had a queen size bed. The only chairs were fold up chairs put next to a very small fold up wooden table in the kitchen. There was no place else to sit, except the bed. There is a kitchen with pots, pans, etc but no toaster. We didn't discover that until we tried to make breakfast. There is a Keurig, microwave, fridge, and stove in the room. The AC was loud but cooled off the place nicely. At night though when it would kick on it would raise up the sheet off me. Sorta strange. The room could have definitely been cleaner. I'm not sure when the last time the kitchen window sill had been wiped off. There were many dead bugs on it. The bead board in the bathroom was separated from the wall and they tried to use caulk to 'fill' it. It didn't work. The shower was small but nice. My only gripe was there was no place to set down the soap or shampoo, wash cloth, etc. They do provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner and they aren't stingy with them! The building we were in needs to be updated. There is a lovely patio out by the ocean with comfortable seats and stunning views. There is a dune and they have a wooden stairway down to the beach. The beach is incredible. It is like you have your very own private beach. The Sea View also has chairs, umbrellas, floats, etc for your use. Oh and there is a fish cleaning station if you surf fish. I gave the place 3 stars due to the location. If I stay here again, it will be in the building with the rooms that face the ocean, not in the back building. For the price, we could have stayed elsewhere but the seemingly private beach is great. I hope the owners update the property a bit though.

Surrounded by plenty of stores , gas stations and restaurants . We looked two rooms one with two queen beds and the other with a king size bed . These rooms are extremely spacious and the couch can also be used as an extra bed . Check in and check out was fast and efficient , this hotel also has breakfast which is also a plus . I brought my dog along and the hotel is dog friendly with a few attached fee . But he loved it too , he was very comfortable. If you are ever in the area or happen to pass through . Stop at Hyatt place you won't regret it .

Corn hole boards set up and ready for competition, jumbo connect 4 & Jenga tower, tiki umbrellas and colorful Adirondack loungers waiting for the next chill, outdoor eating areas, a FULL walk up bar WITH a great menu for lunch and snacks! (Piña Colada by bartender Kayla was SPOT ON!!!). Also at 7pm the huge Jumbotron screen by the pool played the Minions movie and allowed for everyone to hear it and see it from the pool or anywhere outside your room! I was even able to do a load of laundry at the laundry area! Let's race to the full breakfast Buffett, full with fresh cooked eggs, sausage, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, bread, bagels, croissants, make your own waffle(add sprinkles!), cereal, fruits, muffins, cinnamon rolls, yogurt bar, fresh hot coffee, and yummy juices! Literally across from home is a Sprouts market which is a somewhat boutique type grocery store with "better" brands. Great to grab sandwiches, chips, and toiletries as wanted. You don't need to leave property. Also Walmart hidden to West and little items like Popeyes and Hooters easily walked within 5 minutes. The hotel continues to impress. Breakfast is most chain like and very boring. But it's included and you can make waffle or grab what appears to be powered type eggs and sausage patty. This would be a cool venue to have local vendor come in on weekend to offer specialty food, coffees or sweets at additional cost to visitors. It would be cool to share space for a couple hours to allow guests to experience the areas cuisine.

It's definitely a "no-frills" kind of place (i.e. no hairdryer, no shampoo and just a tiny bar of soap); however I did find a lot of benefits, including a fair price. Plenty of hot water readily available, a comfortable bed, cold adjustable air conditioner, quality flatscreen HD TV set, and parking close to my room were all big pluses. I was a bit surprised though I needed to handover $15 cash for the room key deposit, but no big deal. I just wish I would've known that before getting there so I would've been better prepared. There was a bank just down the road though so it wasn't a problem. Both gentlemen that worked at the front desk were very helpful and friendly; the hotel has a very spacious parking lot that seems to be well lit and felt safe. There is a nice area not too far away downtown that I believe they call "The Village," that has quite a number of little shops and restaurants. Definitely worth checking out. One other thing to mention is that the woman I spoke with on the phone originally when I set up my reservation was very pleasant as well, and I believe she may have been the one I spoke to when I called back after my trip in search of my prescription sunglasses. Unfortunately I must've misplaced them elsewhere, but she was very willing to check with housekeeping and around the area of the motel on my behalf. Overall, I felt like it was a nice weekend stay, and I will definitely consider the Dixie Motel again the next time I'm in Cocoa.

Decided to stay and we are so glad we did. Stephanie the owner is so nice and helpful. There isn't a host on site from 6pm-8am but she is easy to get ahold of if needed. The resort grounds are kept VERY clean and tidy. Pool and pool patio were cleaned each morning. The pool is not heated but my son didn't mind the cooler water after being on the beach all day. Plenty of lounge chairs around pool and seating outside the pool area on a patio over looking the beach. Steps down to the beach were kept clean led off and clear of clutter. It would be really nice to have a ramp going down to the beach. Was a little tricky getting our beach cart down the stairs. The ice machine was out of service while we were there so we did have to buy ice for our fish but hopefully it will be available next time we visit. A big plus was the water hose available for us to wash out our coolers and beach gear. Patio also has 2 enclosed beach showers to rinse off as well. The overall feel was very cozy and relaxed. We stayed in room 104 on the bottom floor. King bed with pull out couch. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. We didn't pull out the bed since the couch was super comfortable so my son didn't want it pulled out. The provided LOTS of pillows which was VERY impressive. Room was very well laid out and clean. Shower was a little awkward since it's an open concept but water pressure was perfect. Hot and cold water worked very well. King bed was VERY comfortable. Firm but not rock hard. Hubby and I both slept like a rock. Big TVs in living room and bedroom. Lots of windows to let in all the sunshine! I only have a few suggestions/tips to add: 1. Heavier blankets. We had bedding for the pull out but a few heavier blankets would be nice. After being in the sun all day it's nice to be in a cold room under cozy blankets. 2. A sink in the kitchen area would be so helpful. Running back and forth to the bathroom to use the sink was a little annoying but not enough to dampen this review. 3. A broom and dust pan. This is a MUST. After 2 hours of being there our floor was covered in sand. I had no way of sweeping it up and since the bathroom was in the bedroom, we had a ton of sand on the floor beside the bed. 4. Sand rugs beside the bed to wipe feet on before getting in the bed. (I HATE sand in my bed) All in All this is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for direct beach access. We will 100% be coming back.
