I'm a repeat guest of this Hampton Inn staying here a couple times each year on business. Additionally I spend 100+ nights per year in all Hilton Brands/Diamond status. I have no issues with any staff I interacted with. All were friendly and professional. Breakfast was also a good experience. However the issues with the room will make me never stay at this property again. Room #516: Window treatments totally broken. A bucket sized "Damprid" left in the TV console and overflowing onto the floor/wet carpet. No coffee cups. Floor with visible trash/business cards from previous guest. Outlets in nightstand and desk so lose/old/cheap they can't hold a plug. All pillows look new but are a cheap/institutional foam core that made restful sleeping impossible. Bath tub missing the drain stopper. Recessed light in bathroom with burnt out bulb and/or broken. At a midweek/off season rate of $115 plus tax. Around $90.00 would be more appropriate for such a dumpy room. Any response from the hotel telling me to contact Hilton directly is a total copout... read more

Everyone we encountered from the staff was super nice. The hotel is in a pretty good location right off 95 near a big shopping center and plenty of places to eat. The room and common areas were cleaned pretty good. The breakfast was also pretty good. The negatives were that the beds were hard and the week we were here, there was a ton of kids playing in baseball tournaments. read more

My DH and I stopped in for 1 night while on our way to a wedding. The hotel has some wear and tear and not up to the usual standard of most HI. The front desk was courteous. Our door to the room had damaged that appeared someone tried to pry it open. The window shade was totally broken, water stains on the ceiling and painting pealing off the bathroom door. The room itself could have used a deep cleaning. We have always enjoyed and felt comfortable in HI in the past but this may have convinced us that we need to seek other accommodations. read more

Our room here wasn't horrible, but there were definitely some concerns. Hilton Corporate keeps reminding me they have high standards, but I'm not sure that applies to their lower tiered hotels. I don't always get to stay at their Waldorf or Conrad hotels, and I'm pretty sure neither of those exist in Melbourne, Florida. The two things that bothered me at this hotel were in the bathroom. The toilet tissue holder was in bad shape and looks like replacing or painting it would be easy. Also, the bathroom ceiling appeared to have been patched several times, yet there was still some sort of black stuff on the ceiling. I'm not sure if it was mold or what, and I wasn't about to do my own investigation. We were only here for one night, so we could handle it. We walked through the breakfast area on our way out the next morning. It would have been nice to grab something and go, but it seems most of the Hilton hotels have switched to cereal dispensers instead of individual containers. I detest those things. The cereal gets stale and everyone is turning the little handle with their germy hands. My husband is a no carb eater and there is always very little for him to consume. There's a Cracker Barrel, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and Target very close by. read more

No way in hell is this hotel worth 40,000 Hilton Honors points! Housekeeping is a joke as there's a Bobby Pin on the floor of the bathroom, stains in the bathtub and toilet. Hotels 3rd floor is under construction and a third of the parking lot full of storage containers so everyone is parked in front parking lot as nobody is brave enough to park in the back lot. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! REPEAT - DO NOT STAY HERE!! It is a poorly, poorly managed establishment. I stayed here for 9 days in early July for my son's baseball tournament. Housekeeping destroyed / lost my AirPod Pros...,they gathered them with the bedding bundle and sent to be washed I was able to ping them once I realized they were lost and knew they were in laundry room. Front desk clerk would not help me locate them in laundry room until it was too late and they were washed. I have tried to resolve claim with establishment, then with Corporate office - to no avail. It has been 6 weeks and the establishment!s reply is "claim with insurance company" - Really? How long does it take? And Corporate office defers to establishment. I am getting the total runaround. All I'm saying is that my situation is indicative of how they do business ... which is reason enough to STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!. .... read more

This hotel is conveniently located right of I-95 and walking distance (between) the Bob Evan's fir breakfast and Sonny's BBQ for lunch and or dinner. Our stay was during Covid19 so breakfast is actually the Grab/Go bags and a Chobani yogurt. The rooms are clean as well as the hotel. There is a laundry room on site but I didn't use it so not sure if it's coin operated or complimentary. The pool and area is quite small but since it's more of a stop for traveling through, it's probably fine. Definitely worth a stay for some restful sleep. read more

Gave us a room that had not been cleaned. Eventually room was cleaned. We weren't told that we had to sign up to have our room cleaned the next days. Once we found out we asked the front desk and housekeeping to put us on the list. They said they would. The next day our room was again not cleaned. Front desk said we weren't on the cleaning list and housekeeping is finished at 11AM. Definitely skip this over priced and poorly managed property. read more

Spent two nights here in late January while visiting friends on my way to South Florida. Basically had everything I needed - safe enough, showers well-stocked with hot water, standard Hilton breakfast, and a decent enough snack shop. It's also within walking distance of Sonny's BBQ, a gas station, a Bob Evans (if you dare), and the Brevard Zoo, for which I promise to visit one of these days. If you're into getting your steps in but want to get away from the gym, Wickham Blvd. is a safe option. And there's even a small alligator pond next to the parking lot! Staff was friendly enough, and the clientele robust enough that you just might strike up a quality conversation with a stranger. read more

I stayed here recently for a business trip. The hotel was decent but the upkeep on it was not what I'm used to from a Hampton/Hilton chain. The TV in the room was small 24"ish maybe more. Not normally a big deal but it was so far from the bed that it made it difficult to see. The mini fridge in my room was sporadically loud also. The light in the entryway not only didn't work but the cover was broken as well. There was some small amount of mildew in the shower grout but nothing out of the ordinary. The fitness area was about the size of a storage room. It had 2 treadmills and an elliptical all crammed together. No free weights just a mirror and a couple of medicine balls. I did not try the pool but it's right along the road so while swimming I imagine you get a good view of the traffic and nearby restaurant. I will say the hotel was clean and the staff was generally helpful. I informed them about the light twice but the most I saw was someone write it down on a scrap piece of paper as I checked out. The breakfast is free and generally tasty. The hotel options in this area aren't great so this is probably in the upper tier of available hotels. I was only here on business so I didn't have much of a choice in stay. If I do in the future I may look for another option. read more

Booked our stay through Booking.com and there was no mention of construction being done at the hotel. We already turned another hotel away because it did mention it. Upon arrival there was a considerable amount of work being done on and in the hotel. We were booked for two nights. Our room was located above the entrance way and on the first night people were allowed to gather there and were very noisy until 3:00am. On the 2nd night at approximately 3am the fire alarms went off at several different times. We found out that this was due to flooding on the first floor from a water line break apparently caused from the construction. We asked the front desk as we were checking out for a refund for the 2nd night and they said that it would have to be done through Booking.com in which they said that they would take care of that for us and the manager even shook my hand on it. Two weeks go by and no refund or any emails about it. I contacted Booking.com and they took care of it and we were finally refunded for the night requested. I definitely wouldn't stay there again because of their dishonesty. It gives you the appearance that they will say anything at the moment to appease you and then once you're gone you're out of their sight, out of their mind. read more

My husband and I hadn't traveled in 3 yrs. We came to Melbourne FL to visit family and stay @ The Hampton Inn on Sheriff Dr. We booked a Handicap room online of which the one we got only had a walk-in shower. Room was compact, small and not completely prepared for our stay. Several maintenance issues were not addressed before our arrival. i.e. 1. Refrigerator was on the fritz and made loud noises and froze our fresh vegetables and fruits. Had to throw away most of our produce. 2. Toilet was loose from foundation and wobbly. 3. Key pad for door was malfunctioning. 4. Hair dryer did not work. Although they addressed these matters, it was during our stay of which we should not have had to deal with to start. And last but not least, The older gentleman that works during the breakfast hours is very rude and obnoxious. He hovers over the guest while they are serving their food and practically takes the serving utensils out of your hand to keep everything in it's place. While serving my coffee, he stood behind me the whole time with a cart and hovered while I prepared my coffee. Luckily he is not their everyday and he only works 2 days a week...The other employee whom he relieves for her days off made up for his discrepancies. She is very kind and "Does not Hover"! So, hence the two star rating. Alot of improvements need to be made at this Hotel. read more

Regardless, I enjoyed my stay. + Their choices for snacks for the Hilton Honors members included a local chocolate. Nice touch! (Even though I didn't choose it.) + Very friendly front desk staff, no matter who it was or time of day. + The room and bathroom were bigger than any others I've stayed in. Again, maybe because it's a newer hotel. The shower was a clear sliding door type, not the regular tub with shower curtain. + Breakfast is great! Lots of choices from the hot food (those bagel toppers were yummy), oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, bagels, make your own waffle. + Best part of all Hampton Inn's = free cookies in the evenings! Make sure to grab before they run out! Usually, I book hotels on Hotwire or use a Groupon, but this time I decided to rack up some points and pay regular price. As a Hilton Diamond Member, I have stayed a many hotels across the US, and internationally...and based on that, I have experienced my fair share of highs and lows at many locations. With that being said, the Hampton Inn in the Melbourne/Viera area certainly EXCEEDED my expectations, even in comparison to some Hilton hotels. I was in Brevard County earlier this year to implement a large scale project for my company, so I stayed at this Hilton property for approximately 3 weeks. Not only is this hotel brand new and very well kept, but the level of service is EXCEPTIONAL. They greeted me when I arrived, in the mornings, when I came back and whenever they saw me. Beyond that, because we had to have late meetings throughout this project, the Manager of this property allowed us to use their conference rooms to conduct our meetings free of charge into the wee hours of the night. For those who have stayed at a Hampton Inn...the level of attention during the breakfast times was also outstanding. The food was always fresh...the breakfast attendant took time to go around the tables to refresh my coffee often...and they always did it very courteously. So if you are ever in the Melbourne / Viera, FL area, stay here. Yes, I know it's not next to the beach...but it matters not to me if I am treated outstandingly well. On our recent trip to Florida, we drove to Melbourne in order to shave off some of the time it was going to take us to drive to the Keys. We chose this place at random to stay at because it was right off I-95 and it got better reviews than the Holiday Inn across the street (fire ants were mentioned, which was frankly enough for the wife). This place is beautiful. The rooms are gorgeously decorated, the bed is fluffy and comfortable beyond words and the price was right. For our $79 nightly we were rewarded with not only a nice bed to sleep on and a great shower to shower in, but a free breakfast that while certainly not a gourmet tour-de-force, was definitely on par with fast food and oh, did I mention? Free? The people that run the place were unobtrusive and friendly and being brand new of course, it was immaculate. Five stars. Here, after everything is over, I find myself wishing our hotel in the Keys was this nice at three times the price. read more

I've stayed in lots of Florida Hampton Inns on business this year. This one is my favorite for two reasons: the writing desk in the rooms is at the proper height for sitting and working, AND the table lamp has 2 bright bulbs for reading and working. A LOT of Hampton Inns in FL have recently been renovated and the desks in the rooms are 4 inches too tall. It's like being a toddler at the dinner table. You have to reach up to hit your keyboard. I've had them bring small banquet tables to my room because they are the right height. I've also taken to bringing my own bright LED bulb with me on business trips because the lamps at many other HI's in Florida do not produce enough light to read. Always Hampton Inn consistency here in Melbourne. Always nice people. My go-to hotel on the Space Coast. Unless they put in the too-high desks. read more

I've stayed at this Hampton Inn on multiple occasions and have always had a nice, consistent stay. The staff are extremely friendly especially the front desk staff. One of the best parts about staying at the Hampton Inn is the free complimentary breakfast buffet they have every morning. The only issue I have (not specifically with this hotel but with all Hilton brand hotels) is that the Wi-Fi is extremely slow - but that's not too big of a deal. Overall I always have a pleasant stay and the extra amenities they offer such as the business center, outdoor pool, and fitness center make this Hampton Inn a pleasant place to stay. read more

My husband plays professional baseball and their spring training stadium is located in Viera, FL... down the street from this hotel. In past years when I visit we stay about a half hour away at the Hilton on Cocoa Beach. I'll never go back there again... The Hampton Inn was wayyyy nicer in every way. **Guest rooms: Extremely comfortable beds, clean, big screen tv, huge bathrooms **Staff: Very, very friendly. **Complimentary breakfast each morning... which usually I stay away from since I'm used to seeing old bagels and muffins that look like they have been sitting out for days. The breakfast here had fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, waffle maker (yum!), hot bar with different choices daily, bagels, muffins (fresh!) and probably a whole lot more. Coffee is out daily and is complimentary, as well as baskets of fresh oranges and apples. I loved grabbing an orange each day on my way back from the gym. **Fitness facility: could improve easily for almost no money. They have a brand new elliptical and two treadmills (all with TVs), but no weights. If this were MY hotel, I'd buy a small rack of weights. **Pool: super small and not somewhere I'd choose to relax when the beach is so close. The workout area is tiny with one elliptical (a great one) and two treadmills. **Internet: Free wifi- awesome, not that we used it but still! **Price: very affordable. We did get the team rate so we ended up paying only $90/night... but I can't imagine it is much more than that anyways. Bottom line is that after years of spending time at the Hilton and other hotels I thought were nice- this is by far the best place in that area. By far. Can't wait to go back next year :) read more

Definitely found a gem of a hotel. The hotel has an upscale feel but with family hotel pricing. The breakfast is phenomenal. The waffles are freshly made. There's eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Lots of pastries and fruit. It was always kept up when things started to run low. My only complains was that the mattress was too soft for me. But I like a hard mattress so take that with a grain of salt. Very convenient location to the big mall and 15 minutes from Cocoa Beach. Truly Horrid Experience - Dangerous Warning - This hotel deliberately put my 19 year old daughter and 17 year old friend in a dangerous situation with no regard for their safety. After being told they were being grossly negligent in their actions, the Hampton Inn refused to take any corrective action. Hilton Customer Service agreed the hotel was wrong in their actions yet refused to do anything to correct it. They both still refuse to acknowledge the danger and have not taken any steps to ensure it does not happen again. If you care about your children, chose another place to stay. In case you don't feel like reading the whole story, just a tidbit for all travelers. If you have a guaranteed reservation to any major credit card, and the hotel does not have a room for you, not only must they refund any deposit, but they are obligated to find you a comparable room somewhere else, pay for that room, your transportation and phone calls to let others know you have been moved. Yes, the hotel must PAY for your stay. Any ethical hotel automatically follows through, but not Hilton Hotels. After final exams, the girls left Miami to drive to their summer jobs in Massachusetts and because of age requirements to check in, they know not all hotel options were available. They checked the Hampton Inn - Viera website for the age requirement (18 years old, see Pictures) and then called directly to be sure if they reserved a room, they would have it. They told the reservation agent their ages and were assured they would have a room. They then proceeded to reserve a room guaranteed with a credit card for late arrival. When they arrived after 11:00 p.m., their guaranteed reservation was refused. The 'Night Manager' said not only would he not check in anyone under 21, no other hotel anywhere near him would either. Exhausted, my daughter begged, pleaded, offered additional cash deposits, showed him his website that stated the age requirement of 18, to no avail. I called the hotel and this 'Night Manager' actually said to me he was perfectly comfortable letting two teenage girls sleep in their car at a rest stop for the night because that was their only option. I called Hilton Customer Service and the agent agreed that he was obligated to check them in and she would have to have a supervisor contact the hotel. One hour later, a supervisor at Hilton Hotels Worldwide Customer Service with over 4660 hotels was still not available. As I waited on hold, my other daughter found a room at the Marriott Courtyard Melbourne West, 20 minutes south. She spoke to the very nice woman, explained the age problem, the situation at the Hampton and was assured there would be no problem with checking in. And thankfully, they were truthful and by 2 a.m. they were able to check in and finally sleep. Knowing how dangerous this situation could be for any young adults, especially if they took this ignorant 'Night Manager' at his word and did sleep in their car at a rest stop, I wrote to both the Hampton Inn and Hilton Customer Service, telling them I expected an answer that was not a generic brushoff. And, guess what, I got the brushoff. From Hilton, three times in fact. Hilton's answer, "call the hotel" completely ignoring the fact that Hilton Customer Service's lack of staffing compounded the problem. The Hampton's answer to this 'inconvenience': "we sent you a $100 gift card to use at any Hilton" good for the next six weeks. The $100 gift card was returned to them, along with the bill from the Marriott and a note saying they still had not addressed the problem. Hilton Hotels Worldwide has now told me if I expect Hilton to put their guests' safety first, to have my lawyer call their lawyer. I have a better solution - Never Use Any Hilton Again!!! read more

We spent a night there with our group of 10 soccer players, all age 11, with families. Unfortunately, after the game, it was raining forcing us inside the hotel all afternoon. William at the front desk was a saint. He was very patient with us and provided excellent service. We asked for multiple things, and that man kept a positive demeanor and was very friendly to all of us. He made our stay memorable, as did the delicious breakfast bar in the morning.
