I couldn't believe their kindness dedication and great teamwork delivering first class care. Nothing was too much trouble for the doctors, nurses , healthcares, and the housekeepers. The doctors and nurses helped me feel well cared for and reasured as I was very anxious before my operation. I have had breast care in other hospitals in England and in comparison your hospitals care and staff dedication is excellent all round Thank you! This lady is not keeping quite. I had a UTI and mental crisis. Should have gone to a vet. Antrim area I have sent in a recorded delivery complaint. No answer or phone call. Why am I speaking out. How many have been treated in the abhorrent way that mental liason behaved. Never ever will get over it. Antrim area. Do something so that others are not treated in the way I was. 5mins to destroy any confidence of reaching out for help. Has anyone else been treated badly via some of the mental liason team? Not all. Just a few rotten apples! Discipline them please sister or did you just say I will not bother? Well let me tell you a little secret. I in 2/3 can reach a dark place. Then what would you do? Reach out for something that exists but destroys you with their downright lies. Do not go to mental liason team in Antrim area. Do so at your peril. I will never forgive them. If they hurt you a know they have done wrong they havent even a spec of decency to apologize. As for other care in the community I experience 5 stars. Why are these so called professionals allowed to get away with such awful treatment to us who pay their wages? So blocked by reception. Traumatized by lies. I will be demanding my medical notes. Two ladies stand out And the young man , a tall blonde lady not sure of her ethnicity and an older English lady both have my utmost respect. Some of the patients are a disgrace with their attitudes.

I had come to the surgery for my diabetes blood test results. My doctor said nothing about the results, instead he told me to come back in two weeks time for another blood test. I refused to have that test because I saw no point of having another when I was not told the results of the one whose results I had came for. He then told me to come for the blood test in a years time. A GP is an important person in my life. My health is their hands. So whatever it is about my health, my doctor has to be truthful no matter how bad. That said, it could be difficult for a doctor to be honest and helpful to their patient when the doctor/patient relationship is unpleasant. The second is that the hospital has developed different sections at different times throughout its existence which has meant that its turned into a bit of a maze. Trying to blend the original hospital into the newer parts of the building hasn't really worked out and resulted in some parts being in areas where you wouldn't expect and at some point in the future someone will have to make changes to which departments are situated on which floors and where they are most suitable. The space isn't being managed to its best possible potential. All types of medicine should be on the same floor and same area to make everything better managed. Cant fault the staff though even the junior doctors on weekends.

I arrived at the hospital at about 4pm, went to the reception and the lady there took my details and told me to wait in the waiting area. There were only a few people about and only one other couple in the waiting area. I found myself reading the notices around the walls while I was waiting. The waiting room was clean and there was a few toys in the corner for kids. After about 20 minutes and just after the other lady was called a nurse called my name and I followed her into the cubicle in the treatment area. I got my examination and a diagnosis of my injury and that was me, all within less than an hour. Painless- hopefully my arm will be too soon!!! As the name suggests this hospital is able to treat minor injuries and has the ability to X-Ray but more serious conditions should go straight to emergency dept. at Ulster Hospital Dundonald.

I am an extremely infrequent visitor to the doctors and like most men I tend to let things get excruciating before I finally admit that I need to see a doctor. With this in mind I wasn't actually registered with a doctor it had been so long since my last visit. So just before Christmas I decided to get registered somewhere close to where I lived. I firstly went to a practice at the bottom of the Antrim Road which resembled a prison, luckily for me they weren't registering new patients, so I wandered further up the road and came to Salisbury Medical Practice. The practice itself resembles an old victorian manor house, welcoming, grand and warm. The doctors and staff evoke the same feelings. I went in to the practice on my first visit and to be honest I didn't even expect to be able to register but to my surprise they asked me to come back that afternoon to new patient registration (Thursday's). Once registered which was a simple process I was then able to book an appointment. To my complete and utter shock I was able to get one the next morning at 10am - Let's put this in to perspective. In 24 hours I was registered, booked and seen by a nurse and doctor. I can not recommend this practice enough - highly professional and caring. Easily the best medical experience of my life. For anyone worried about me, it's just a football injury!

This has been my GP practice for almost 20yrs now, the surgery has evolved during that time into…read morethe slick operation it is today. Routine appointments are often booked up well in advance but they have a triage system whereby when you phone in the morning you receive a call back from either one of the GPs or the Nurse Practitioner who will discuss your symptoms and decide how soon you need to be seen, appointments are kept specifically for this purpose. I have lost track of how many GPs actually work here but there are 6 consulting rooms around the main waiting area at the back, a small room opposite a treatment room & a larger treatment room beside reception. Most staff are polite, friendly & helpful. Self service check in allows for quick check in and a reduction in queues at reception. You can register for online services too which allows you to securely book/cancel appointments and order repeat prescriptions. You can nominate a local pharmacy to collect your prescriptions too to save a journey, very handy service indeed.

A&E cases should now attend their most local hospital (for many this is Antrim, Royal or Mater) This change came about after long talks and consultations about how effective the A&E services where at this location, they have changed in a hope to modernise the services the hospital provides. At Whiteabbey there is now a range of services available including; Day Surgery Procedure Unit , Dietetics, Endoscopy Suite, Minor Injuries Unit, Occupational therapy, Outpatients, Psychiatric Day Hospital, Physiotherapy, Psychological therapies, Radiology and diagnostics department, Rehabilitation and Speech and language therapy services. These services are located in a number of buildings; the main hospital building and other smaller buildings such as The New Ward Block, Norah Bain House and Ward 8. Whiteabbey Hospital is open from 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays. There is a restaurant on the grounds called the Grapevine which serves a range of hot and cold food and snacks. It is open for breakfast from 8.30am -10.30am and for lunch from 12noon - 1.30pm. I used to work at the hospital and I have to note the food on offer here is actually really nice. The Hospital is about seven miles from Belfast. It's located on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey and is accessible from the M2 motorway / Station Rd / Doagh Road and O'Neill Road.

I was quite happy about this is this hospital isn't that far from me and it meant I wouldn't have to trek up and down to Belfast (or Antrim!) Most of the treatment I received here was good and the nurses friendly and informative, but there was a bit of a disaster with one of the injections I needed which saw me have to go back three times before I managed to get it, and for this I take off a star. I received a letter telling me when to go, and duly attended. The nurse looked at me blankly and asked why I was there. Luckily I had my letter with me to show her. She just said 'oh this is a mistake' and proceeded to tell me that they didn't know I was coming and didn't have the plasma to inject. I was a bit annoyed to have wasted the time off work, but these things happen. I was given a new time to come. Upon arrival at this appointment, I was told that they had the plasma now, however it was in a locked fridge and the person with the key wasn't there!

Can't complain too much about this doctors practice. It is clean, the staff are friendly, it is…read morenever overcrowded although a very busy practice. There are plenty of GP's and they are usually very knowledgeable. Which isn't always the case. My only gripe, well two gripes, is that the parking can be an absolute nightmare sometimes, and also that they make you wait 48 hours to get a repeat prescription. I don't know if all doctors are the same but it's well annoying. lol. Apart from that, I am happy with this practice.
