Something I've never done before - tossing left over pizza without eating it.
    Benjamin K.

I have to start this review by letting you know that no matter what, I love pizza. From Lean Cuisine, to a warmed up 7-11 pepperoni, to the Margherita at Frugatti's, I've enjoyed them all. My philosophy is that pizza is like only one other thing in life - even if its not that great, its still pretty good. Thats why it pains me to report that Woodstone, once ranked as one of the best pizzas in Kern County, completely missed the mark tonight. Uber Eats offered a 50% off promo at Domino's this evening, but my wife and I opted to drop $70 on a medium Hawaiian and a "Woodstone" (combination), with a side of boneless buffalo wings instead. Upon arrival, we noticed both medium pizzas were delivered in large size boxes, leaving a wide berth between the crust and the edge of the box. While the pies were delivered in good condition and warm to the touch, they were not as visually striking as one would expect. It was clear that too small pizzas were placed in too big boxes. I dove into the combination first, and immediately noticed a bland lack of flavor. I tried to add some pizzaz with the provided pepper flakes and parm, but no dice. I had to dip my slice in ranch just to choke it down. Unfortunately, the Hawaiian pizza was no better. The crust on both pizzas was hard, almost as if it was stale, and each of the toppings were congealed together in the melted cheese so there was just an amalgam of bland flavor throughout each bite. Both pizzas tasted the same, in fact (not good). I moved on to the wings and they had an off flavor and gummy texture as well. Truly, everything tasted like it was left out from the lunch buffet a day or two ago and someone brushed some garlic butter on everything, nuked it for half a minute, and half assedly packaged it all up for us tonight. The good news is the City of Bakersfield announced that it is acceptable to dispose of pizza boxes in the green waste can now. Sadly that's where this entire meal wound up.

Pizza is life and I wanted to try a new spot. Yelp says this place is pretty good. So I made an order for delivery. One classic pepperoni and one small margherita. I can't speak on the ambiance or customer service since it was delivery but the pizza is legit. The crust isn't soggy and tasted like it was made in an actual pizza oven. The taste is on point- the ingredients tasted fresh and not like artificial slop. My whole family was pleased. I was a happy little greedy pizza rat. I will definitely place Woodstone into my regular pizza rotation.

Another great meal. Missed the lunch special. But still a good deal and food is always good n fresh. The girls working today were friendly as usual. stop by for some good grub.

Woodrow Pizza is a total win! The vibe is super chill, making it a great spot to hang out. The pizza is seriously delicious and they have some unique toppings that make it extra fun. Plus, they've got a great selection of refreshing beers on tap. What really sets Woodrow apart is the family-centered customer service. You can tell they care about making everyone feel welcome. If you're looking for a fun night out with awesome pizza, this is the place to be!

So this pizza place has been around for 6yrs now and we barely made our way out FINALLY. I should have came sooner because the pizza was top tier! What I want to know is... have you guys been here yet? If you haven't then you better check them out soon! I absolutely love wood fire pizza and thin crust, so I highly recommend this place if you also like thin crust wood fire pizzas. We ordered the chicken garlic and their take on the combination and both pizzas were delicious. We also got the antipasto salad and the bbq chicken salad and both were super good. The ranch dressing is really good here. Not all ranch dressing is created equal, so when there's a place that has great pizzas and really good ranch then it's always a plus. I didn't get to see the restaurant from inside. My husband and youngest went to go pick up and bring it back to the office for lunch, but from my understanding they were getting a lot of calls for orders. I will definitely be back! My family really loved the first experience so we want to try the other pizza options.

We live close to here but only got to try it when my friend participated in their karaoke road to the fair contest. I love the old-school feel and that you can actually sit down and dine in. They have a variety of flavors and you can order half flavors so you get to try more flavors. I have always preferred thin crust so if you're a fan, this is the place for you! Their wings are also so good! I think one of the best wings in town, TBH. Give this place a try and if you love singing, visit on Wednesdays for a fun karaoke night.

I dare say best pizza in town , the lighting& decor really adds character . I especially liked the uno table indicators . The thin crust pizza (we got pepperoni & bell peppers ) was sooo delicious . We also tried the garlic parm wedges which are a must in pizza joint for me . There's a little play area for kids that includes a claw machine , big jenga, connect four, and pinball. Great customer service when we came in, will definitely be coming back!

Woodstone Pizza in Bakersfield is a hidden gem! Their thin crust fire-baked pizza is legit -- I'd give it a solid 7.8, crispy on the outside, flavorful all the way through, and cooked to perfection in that fire oven. The vibe here really takes it up a notch too -- super clean, welcoming, and modern without losing that cozy pizza shop feel. It's the kind of spot where you actually want to sit down, enjoy your meal, and hang out for a bit. If you're in town and craving pizza that feels a cut above the average, Woodstone is absolutely worth a stop! Staff was very friendly and took good care of my family!!

We decided we wanted pizza for dinner since the family wanted to celebrate my birthday a few days early. We had went here before, but so long ago (I believe during covid) and we hadn't given them a shot since. We got a thin crust classic half pepperoni and half cheese pizza. I'd give this pizza a solid 7; it definitely could have used a bit more sauce. We also tried the sizzlin' bacon (I think that's what it was called) We substituted the ham for chicken...that pizza was delicious and full of all different flavors. The crusts were perfect, we love a fire baked pizza! We also tried the mozzarella sticks...the outside had a delicious flavor and they were good. We will definitely be back. Their vibe inside was nice and inviting and the staff were super friendly.

One of the best pizza places in town. A little out of the way, from the choices we have near our house but I'm always ready for the 20 minute drive to go sit and eat their delicious pizzas. They have the perfect crust and it is pizza, so it's pretty hard to ruin a good thing. The place is clean, all the games work and the staff is helpful and polite. Price wise it's reasonable but it's worth the little extra for the quality. Wedges are outstanding and we need to try their other sides or apps the next time but again it is one of the better places in town.

Large Casa salad, added grilled chicken
    Audrey S.

My family and I were in town on holiday and, after a long pool day, decided on pizza and salad for dinner. Our first two choices didn't work out (one on summer break, the other didn't have salad) so we "settled" on Woodstone because it checked all the boxes and the Yelp reviews were solid. Boy this community delivers. Plentiful parking in the lot on a Friday during dinner. The friendly boys at the counter took our order right away. Large Casa salad add grilled chicken, large pizza half pepperoni half sausage, 16oz 801 beer came out to less than $50 including an 18% tip. The place was clean, organized, super quaint and felt like a throwback to 90s pizzerias. Ultra utilitarian choices like paper plates and a roll of paper towels mounted over the booth that we greatly appreciated. The salad came out right away and was very fresh and loaded with chicken. I dug into the salad while my husband and daughter played a few arcade games including pinball and a racing game. There was a brief wait for the pizza but very worth it. The pizza came out super hot from the oven with an ultra crispy cracker-like crust. The sausage was my favorite, very delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for families big and small. It was so cozy, delicious and affordable.

    Pepperoni and pineapple pizza
    Christina E.

We arrived to a warm inviting smelling like some good pizza joint. The decor was a mix of classic Italiano with some classic Americano vibe. The staff were friendly and very pleasant. They had a few arcade games and also had some old school hands on entertainment. We ordered a pineapple and pepperoni pizza with a side of wings. Both items were delicious. The sauce for the pizza wasn't a heavy tomato base like the kind that gives acid reflux. The crust was just how we like it, thin and crisp. The wings we definitely my favorite. They were a naked wing, not heavy and covered in a thick batter. We even enjoyed their soda machine. You had a choice of the everyday picks but this machine had some other delightful flavors like Black Cherry, Vanilla Cream, lemon and berry soda. I know from now on, when I'm in the mood for a in-house sit down and eat some pizza joint, I'm coming here.

Very friendly, he gave several recommendations, and was very patient as we reviewed the menus. He checked in regularly. Now the food... we had the bacon on bacon, ordered by the bacon lover, (my husband) and he gave it a 10/10. I enjoyed it too! We had the vodka pasta and shared it, and that was amazing, the pasta was served al dente and was perfect. The chicken was grilled perfectly and tender. We left room for dessert and ordered the carrot cake. I'm a carrot cake snob so I was already setting myself up for disappointment, It did not disappoint. Very moist, the cream cheese icing was light and tasty. Every other bite had a surprising crunch. 10/10 Drinks- I had the hibiscus muse. Very tasty and refreshing. The hubby had whistle pig old fashioned. Solid drink! He doesn't venture out much and was pleased with the entire experience. Would visit again! From him that's saying a lot! A great review for food is one thing but when you get great, tasty food and exceptional service, that's rare and deserves a review. Thank you centro cali brewing and Elijah!

Spicy Potato Pearls appetizer. This dish was really good and it consisted of 8 spicy potato pearls, perfect for sharing. I would describe as seasoned mashed potatoes, rolled into a ball shape and coated with a panko and deep fried and topped with finely grated Parmesan cheese. It's served with a side of cilantro aioli and a lemon wedge I would definitely order this again. 8/10 2. Breaded chicken over Garlic Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta had a nice garlic flavor and a rich creamy white Alfredo sauce. Chicken was cooked to perfection and flavorful. One of my favorites 10/10 NOTE: all pastas are made in-house 3. Cali Lasagna : Wagyu beef bolognese, pomodoro sauce, Parmesan and basil oil. Lasagna was piping hot and very good. It had dollops of ricotta cheese on top. 9/10 4. Fried Lasagna: chef special. OMG!! This was my absolute favorite and hopefully becomes a regular menu option. Lasagna rolls that have been breaded and deep fried. 10/10 5. Minestrone soup: very flavorful and nice chunks of veggies. Served piping hot. 10/10 6. Four Cheeses & Figs Pizza: white sauce, mozzarella, provolone, goat cheese, blue cheese and fig compote and topped with arugula 10/10 7. Cali Pizza: San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage, salami and topped with hot honey & sliced Fresno chiles 9/10 (pizza was a bit greasy) NOTE: all pizza doughs are made in-house. 8. Fish & Chips (chef special): battered in a squid ink batter and fried to perfection. Served with French fries & tartar sauce. 9. Prosciutto Arugula Pizza: San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, apple slices and topped with a balsamic reduction 8/10 (a bit on the salty side) 10. Creamy Pesto & Artichokes Pasta: pesto sauce, penne pasta, artichokes, asparagus, arugula and Parmesan 10/10 11. Tiramisu: 10/10 Cocktails: 1. Cucumber Margarita nice cucumber taste not overly sweet 10/10 2. Espresso Martini: it was good but not outstanding. The foam should have been frother. 7/10 Overall food was fantastic and our waitress was on-point with our orders. Parking is free, however, it can be challenging during peak hours. The ambiance is very laidback and a chill vibe. They also have an outdoor patio if you prefer to dine outdoors. Restrooms were very clean and fully stocked.

There were a few employees behind the counter, nobody came to the front to assist me. I have nerve damage in my lower extremities so standing for too long hurts. Not to mention, there's a sign on the counter that's says pizza that is done will be placed on the counter, and to have a seat if the pizza isn't there. So I sat. I'm sitting in the dinning area, table directly in front of the checkout counter, I'm facing the checkout counter. An employee even walked out right by me, made eye contact, checked out the salad bar and then went back to the kitchen without ever asking if I needed assistance or if anyone had helped me yet. A little time goes by, employees are walking around the kitchen where they can see me, nobody coming out to ask how they can help me or to take my order. Some other woman comes in and kitchen staff immediately come to the front counter to help her. I got up to get in line now that some customer service is being offered but a family rushed in the line ahead of me to order. So I'm just standing there, with our pizza done and ready getting cold sitting up on top of their oven, not out on the counter where the sign says pizza is placed when it's done. While I'm standing there waiting for the customer in front of me to finish ordering and paying, another employee comes out to the checkout counter, makes eye contact with me but turns his back and starts sorting ranch. He could have easily just grabbed our finished pizzas and breadsticks and brought it out to me since we had already paid online, or maybe even just asked, "how can I help you?" Any of the many times he made eye contact with me, but he didn't. I was completely ignored. It was finally my turn to get some help. I asked where the pizza is kept once it's finished, so the server pointed to the top of the oven where they pulled our pizza down from. The pizza wasn't even warm enough to feel heat coming from the boxes when they handed them to me. Why I had to wait for others to come in and kick the kitchen staff into customer- service mode is beyond me, unless their kitchen staff is all racist? What other reason could this behavior be? Staff should be rushing to the counter to help every customer the same. So tell me why I was ignored the way I was, yet the kitchen staff rushed in to provide service to other people before me as soon as they walked in? This pizza isn't good enough to be eating it cold and hard after being treated poorly by staff. Get rid of the sign instructing online orderers to have a seat and wait if you're not going to assist customers sitting in your dining room.
