Casual and cozy breakfast restaurant located off of Ferguson and Rebecca in Hamilton's downtown…read morearea. There's nearby public and street parking. Entry is a single door with a ramp on the inside. Servers were quick to seat my friend and I. Service was polite and timely. We both ordered our own "Teenage Feast" which included Two eggs prepared to your taste, thick cut bacon, sausage, choice of toast, served with dutch mini pancakes, butter parsley home fries / salad or half & half. I opted for scrambled eggs, home fries, and rye (they also had sourdough as an option!) The meal was very filling, could definitely be shared between two peckish people or saved as left overs for later. Meal has a blend of sweet and savoury, leaning more on the sweet side. The sausage is sweeter than others (I enjoy this but I know it's not for everyone. The Dutch pancakes are so cute and little, coated in icing sugar, and served with maple syrup on the side to dip. For drinks I ordered the Maple Foam Cold Brew. Make sure to stir/not put your straw at the bottom of the drink or you'll get a hit of maple! Once it's stirred it tastes great. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu (I'm eyeing the coffee flights)!

Nonetheless, they do have a few sandwich options and are open at lunchtime as well. I went back to back days. Day one was the smash burger and I got 50/50 with salad and curly fries which is a nice option. The next day I did the Nashville fried chicken sandwich with the same sides. Everything was very fresh and tasted very good. Both sandwiches perhaps were missing a bit of an X factor that would have me telling people it's an absolute must visit. For example, the smashburger probably could've been a bit more savoury (even greasier) to be a true smashburger, and the Nashville chicken spice level was pretty mild. All that said, it was made fresh and very tasty too, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone either. And like I said, I didn't even try the breakfast items which is the main part of the restaurant anyway.

Worth the drive to Hamilton.. The breakfast, brunch…read moreselection is excellent, refreshing to see reasonable prices and no push for tips. The opportunity to buy buttons which in turn buys homeless a meal; hard to not like that notion. The eating experience honestly can be a unique one; a woman was barking for her order, a gentleman was sleeping with his bicycle tire a few tables over. To say it's a DIVERSE crowd is probably an understatement. The fact this isn't more common is also an understatement; you don't see this too often; respect to the owners, you are doing a very good thing... In this day and time of a lot of bad news and stress; nice to see something positive occurring.

It is an inspiring place, and offers a good meal, particularly breakfast. While there, purchase buttons for a dollar, which you then throw into a jar where those to whom life hasn't been as kind can use up to six per day to be fed without cost to them. You'll leave well-fed and feeling good about our community. I don't like leaving only a four star review, but in the interest of transparency, our orders were mistakenly filled a couple of times. It didn't bother us a bit, but I suppose it could bother some on here.

This had a good mixture of pistachio and almond flavours. It was mainly almond ice cream with pistachio pieces. The only difficulty is that 30% of the pieces were a little too big for the straw; probably this flavour was never meant to be used as a milkshake. I had to take tge straw out and such out the pieces from the other end. Review 2025-255

I tried the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream and the sugar-free Black Cherry. There are probably only one or two sugar-free options, but the pricing is really reasonable and definitely cheaper than the GTA. The Peanut Butter Cup was good, though I wish the chocolate flavor was a bit richer. I'd give it an 8/10. The Black Cherry was delicious and easily a 10/10. For food, I ordered the large fish and chips for $18. It's a great deal because the two pieces of fish are huge. The small order is $11.95. My picture didn't show it well since the second piece of fish was hiding underneath, but it was just as big. The fries are super thick, perfect for dipping in gravy. I got a side of gravy and loved it. It had that classic poutine flavor without being too salty. The only thing I'd change is I wish the fries were cooked a little longer. Overall, I'd give the fish and chips an 8/10. The diner itself is much bigger than I expected. You order at the counter, get a number, and they call it out when it's ready. What's cool is they also have speakers outside, so if you're waiting by the path or at the picnic tables, you can still hear your number. Bathrooms were clean too, which I always appreciate.
