We stopped by Rosie's for breakfast and had a good experience. The service is really good and the employees are really hospitable. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table because they are very popular. It's located in a cute town along the waterfront and we found it a bit difficult to find parking. The menu is nice because they have a lot of gluten free options but everything at this restaurant is an add-on. I ordered a gluten free pancake with 2 eggs. The pancake was the biggest pancake I have ever received at a restaurant. It was bigger than my hand. It tasted good and went well with the eggs. Toast would have been extra and there was a surcharge to make the pancakes gluten free. I found this restaurant more expensive than the other restaurant we frequent when visiting the area. Husband had the classic Benedict, they use peameal, beans on the side. I had The Coach, 2 eggs, toast (I chose raisin), beans, peameal, home fries & a tomato slice. The bean side is smoky and creamy, very good, peameal excellent, home fries buttery & some crispness-excellent. Tomato not quite in season. Our server was fast & checked in frequently with coffee warm ups etc. not real busy on a Thursday morning around 11am. We've been there once. I know it's super popular in Port Dalhousie and you are lucky if you get a spot. We could only find one by the bar which was fine. I didn't really care where I was sitting. I was there for the food, which was pretty good. The service was good. It's a very noisy place as rhey only have a pretty full house from what I experienced and read. Otherwise, maybe a bit pricey? Last time I checked, they were open on really odd days of the week, so we didn't repeat. I keep seeing it there when I pass by. Maybe we'll go again one day. read more

Came here twice now for breakfast with my partner, I got French toast and my partner got the omelette and the middleweight breakfast. Safe to say that this is the place to go for perfect portions that don't leave you feeling heavy, the friendly service, and amazing food. Stopped for breakfast on our way from Niagara Falls to Toronto, was glad we did. Folks are very friendly and helpful and food was delicious and plentiful. We had an egg white omelette and the Irish Benedict, both we great . Came with home fries and toast. It's a very popular local place, but service was prompt. We got there just as they opened and it was almost full, I would suggest doing the same or you may have to wait for a table. St Catharine's is also a very quaint spot to visit. read more

I visited on a Sunday morning, around 10:30am, and didn't have to wait too long to be seated (party of 2). However, near the end of my meal (11:30am), the lineup was getting long so I definitely recommend stopping by earlier than later. The restaurant itself was quite cozy and the menu had a good variety of items (+ keto options which I thought was interesting). We ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich, the Egg Wrap and the Chicken Noodle soup (see picture). All the dishes were solid and came in perfect portions. I wanted to try their special coffee (Alkaline Coffee and Tea infused with Ganoderma Lucidum) but decided to go with their original coffee since it came with refills (the special coffee doesn't). Overall, you can't go wrong with Rozie's if you're looking for a fun breakfast spot with a decent selections in Port Dalhousie. I really liked my breakfast at Rozie's. The coffee was hot, fresh, and not burnt. They had an alternative milk option of almond milk and they had gluten free options for French toast, waffles, and pancakes. I also liked the breakfast potatoes and scrambled eggs. However, I was shocked to see Aunt Jemima syrup bottles used for the syrup-dependent breakfast foods. I kept trying to figure out if the use of Aunt Jemima "syrup" bottle was a gag or if it was really the glucose syrup with maple flavoring liquid that's used to pass off as maple syrup. My husband said it was definitely the fake stuff but it was hard to tell on the French toast. It was mostly confusing considering how they appealed to so many different diets (keto, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc.) and then they put the cancer-filled syrup on the table. Also, ITS CANADA (aka Delicious Maple Syrup land to us, Americans). I don't know for sure if it was a gag but it left a bad taste in my mouth - literally and figuratively. read more

I could go on and on about the food it was INCREDIBLE! We were in from Ohio on a girls trip and needed to find a good Gluten Free restaurant for breakfast and they knocked it out of the park! If The Lancer is a good place in St. Catharine's for a down home and simple breakfast/brunch, Rozie's Breakfast Cafe is the place where you take someone to impress them. It's on the charming main drag of Port Dalhousie, which is an adorable historical neighborhood in St Catharine's, worthy of a visit all on its own (but probably a safer bet in the spring or summer, not in the dead of winter. Parking is a little tricky on this seemingly sleepy street, and the quiet nature was quickly dispelled once we walked in the door of this place, as it was pretty packed on a Saturday morning. Canadians sure do love their breakfasts. It is a sit yourself sort of place, so we did, and we were pretty quickly helped. We both ordered Eggs Benedict with the intriguing option of baked beans (their own recipe, with bacon and onion) instead of home fries, or tomato. Both of those alternates are pretty British in character! The Eggs Benedicts were both good, although they felt a little sparse on the plate. The taste was pretty spot on, a nice rich buttery Hollandaise sauce. Fantastic breakfast at Rozie's today! We were traveling in the area and felt like having a good, solid breakfast. We found Rozie's through Yelp reviews and were convinced to try it out. We got there around 10:30am on a Monday (!) morning and the place was about 2/3 full. We still got a spot easily and we were served quickly. The staff were super nice and efficient, which is much appreciated (as I am German and my dad is visiting from Germany, so he is obsessed with efficiency, haha). The place quickly filled up too, so that about 30 minutes after we got there, every single table was taken and people were waiting in line to get in... On a Monday morning! Every. Single. Table. I think that in itself speaks for itself... Anyway, back to the food. The coffee is a-ok, but the food more than makes up for the average coffee (after all we went for the food, not the barista skills). I had the Benedict with asparagus, my dad built his own omelette, and both were absolutely delicious! The home fries were also fantastic, and my dad's toast was done perfectly. The ambience is a cozy rowing style, which fits the area (Canadian Henley should mean something to rowers out there), and I very much enjoyed it, being a rower myself. Ordered the rowers hard ten and classic eggs benny. Both were very tasty and were good portions for the price. Would definitely come here again. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I thought the bacon was slightly over cooked (was so crispy it fell apart when you put a fork to it) and the poached eggs for the benny were not "runny". Went for a breakfast with family on a Sunday 11:00 AM . Busy resturant parking can be hard to find. Waited about 10 mins to get our table but servers were coperative and made sure that we were kept informed of our table avalibility status. Tables and decor is ordinary and gives a feeling of a mom & pop establishment however prices seem reasonable. Food: Eggs florentine. Pancakes coffee and chocklet milk. Eggs were ordered slightly over done and came as desired . the benededict sauce was well flavored might take a hint more sourness to complement the butterly flavour.
