You can't tell from looking at the station data, or from Google/Apple maps, that the station sells "clear gas" at its pumps. Clear gas should not only be used in boat engines, but the absence of methanol makes it the perfect fuel base for any small motor device like a generator, chain saw, tree pruner, weed eater, brush grinders, etc. (Ethanol rots the rubber seals in these devices.) I'd suggest that the availability of clear gas be made known for all Maverik stations that have it available in the station metadata... such as on Yelp, Apple Maps, etc: that would save us a lot of time searching for it! Other suggestion: stop the video ads at the pump. They're very annoying.

Joel, who was the only employee present, told me to cancel the transaction and assured me the money would be refunded to my account. I waited, but the refund never appeared. When I followed up with him, he responded with an attitude and said, "Well, it isn't instantaneous." I then asked if he could apply the payment to a different pump, but he claimed he couldn't. After waiting a bit longer, I called and asked to speak to a manager--he said he was the manager. I told him, "I need gas. I already paid. What am I supposed to do?" and shockingly, he replied, "Do you not have any money left?" His customer service was terrible, and his attitude was completely unprofessional. In the end, I had to pay another $45 just to get gas--on top of the $45 I had already paid.

Disappointing and Unprofessional Customer Interaction…read more I stopped at this Roberts gas station to purchase a soda and a snack--something I've done many times before, as I am a regular customer. Unfortunately, this visit was a very negative experience due to the behavior of the cashier. When I approached the counter, I greeted the cashier, but received no response. As I was paying with my card, she began giving rapid, commanding instructions while I was already in the process of using the terminal. This became confusing rather than helpful. I calmly told her, "I'm sorry, I can do this--you're just confusing me." After that, the interaction noticeably changed. The cashier became silent and visibly upset. When the payment terminal had issues and needed to be reset--a situation outside of my control--she appeared to blame me and became increasingly irritated. Once the transaction was completed, I asked politely, "Did I do something wrong?" Her response was completely unacceptable. She told me that I was rude, said she "didn't need this," and then told me to "get out." I want to be very clear: I did not raise my voice, insult her, or behave disrespectfully. I am an older customer, and the confusion came from being spoken to abruptly while already following the payment process. That does not justify being spoken to harshly or being told to leave the store. What was especially disappointing is that I frequent this location. The only difference this day was my appearance--I was unshaven and dressed casually. Whether that played a role or not, no customer should ever be treated this way. I expect better professionalism, courtesy, and respect from a business I regularly support.

This Shell station is alright. It's small and old, but they keep the gas prices at the exact same…read morelevel as the least expensive gas pumps in the area. I'm used to seeing Shell prices at a few cents higher, or even jacked way up along the interstate or in other Northern AZ small towns, so that is a pleasant surprise. Likewise, the "Minute Mart" is tiny by current standards. I've never seen a smaller one anywhere. They do carry plenty of beverages, bottle and fountain, and they keep those prices low too. On a Friday afternoon they had no hot dogs on the tiny roller grill (which looked turned off) so if you needed a bite to eat you had to settle on bagged chips. The staff here are friendly and the store is well arranged. But in all candor, the place is filthy. There is grime everywhere, starting with the walkway outside, the floors inside, walls, doors, glass, displays... I was shocked. I decided not to use the restrooms as there is no way they could be better than the common areas. For me they get points for one thing: they have a No Caffeine/No Sugar beverage in their fountain. (SOBE) You might be surprised how hard it is to find this type of beverage anywhere in Prescott, whether restaurants, fast food, or convenience store. I'm usually forced to go with plain water.
