I honestly do not understand any of the negative reviews posted. I moved back to Beaufort in 2017…read moreand was very nervous about finding a new vet for my two boys. Their Vet in New York was absolutely wonderful and understood how neurotic I can be when it comes to my dogs. Dr. Fetterman and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Dr. Fetterman also understands and manages how I can be when it comes to them. I just lost my boy Riley on Monday June 9, 2025. Riley was my world and loved unconditionally; he was a kumbaya boy; my travel buddy, my boat ride or die and my swimming partner (you jump...I jump) for 16 wonderful years. He was a brother, a best friend and a playmate to Cooper for 11 years. To get back on topic...they both have/had separation anxiety (Riley a bit more than Cooper). Dr. Fetterman was the only Vet to put Riley on a medication that actually worked. Dr. Fetterman and the rest of the staff at Sea Island genuinely care for both fur-baby and human. I trust them unreservedly. Thank you Sea Island for everything that you do for my fur-family and Beaufort's fur-community. Tracy Della Pia (Landry)

I later learned that the fluids only cost about two dollars a bag at a pharmacy. Another vet told me about it and gave me a prescription. I was new in town and my dog of 12 years was dying. I was in a vulnerable situation.

Highly recommend Dr. Henry at Broad Marsh Animal Clinic…read more Dr. Henry is compassionate, caring and excellent vet. I trust Dr. Henry with all 5 of my dogs. At Broad Marsh Animal Clinic, the animals receive round the clock care if they need to stay over. There is always a tech on staff 24/7. When my pet's have had to stay the night for surgical needs, the staff knew that I would worry all night, so they told me that if I wanted to I could call ANYTIME, even 3am to check on my pet. It is a great comfort knowing that if something goes bad (vomiting, IV pulled out, etc.) in the evening they are there to monitor and take care of the situation. Dr. Henry has been helping out the community for years without asking for donations. He participates in the annual rabies clinics. He has a community outreach program for vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuters. He has always helped many area non-profits by offering discounted medical care and boarding. Not to mention if he has room, he himself will take in and care for homeless pets. He will medically treat them out of pocket and find new homes for them. He is and always has been a part of the solution. Bottom line he cares about your pet and you!
