I've seen her be rude about peoples' kids or about accents. My friend and I won the challenge and she was so visibly mad at our weigh-in and walked off because we succeeded. She was not happy for us and it was by no thanks to her that we succeeded. . To top it off she bounced the check she paid my friend with! I recently wished I could revisit there but I know already what she's like. Its unfortunate because everything else about it is good. Maybe if she was behind the scenes but she's very involved so it does make a difference.

She has no respect and she is always right. She stalked my Facebook page and saw that I wrote a positive review about another workout class at a local gym and felt it necessary to bring it up to me and talk about the other location negatively. I believe the positive reviews on Yelp are left by individuals that are required to do so in order to get their deposits back from the 6 Week Program. I do not understand how she is still in business. She calls people fat, laughs at them, and refuses to provide modifications. She assumes whatever injury you are explaining is made up.

All have been very well instructed and the studio offers a variety of fitness. Even if a class fills up, if you get on the waitlist you have a high chance of getting in. Upon arrival we walked in and it was so empty in the front room. We waited a while and peeked around at the merch but no one came to the desk and the class was starting soon so we wandered into the back. We found the only room with silks hanging and entered, the instructor was incredibly off-putting and cold. She didn't welcome us, or even look at us when we approached her to intro ourselves. She scolded us for not checking in properly even though no one was in the building to tell us. She put my friend and I in far apart spots and when we requested to be near each other she huffed. The class itself is a whole lot of fun. Being new to using silks, the instructor explained the movements well and I felt confident in executing new moves. After she felt out the class she even walked us through a more advanced upside down movement. There was one student who was clearly very advanced in aerial yoga/acrobatics so the instructor had him do the majority of the demonstrations.

Deborah offers programs that last for four weeks and can be either 3, 4 , or 5 times a week…read moredepending on your needs. The program was designed for all types of participant with different levels of fitness and you are allowed to go at your own pace. The first time I signed up for a class I was nervous not knowing what to expect. Was this going to be some military style thing with someone screaming at me to 'give me twenty more'? Would i be able to walk the next day or even the for the next week? After the first class my fears were allayed as Deborah is one of those trainers who coaches you along with praise for your efforts and recognition for your progress. She also takes the time to explain the proper techniques for each move or exercise she asks you to do. This is the kind of training that makes me want to improve to show that I am paying attention and making the effort rather than doing it just so I can tell people 'I go to boot camp'! Be aware though that these classes are outside, in the cold, maybe in the fog, and one time even in the snow. Occasionally, free classes will be held on a Saturday where you can give it a try without a commitment. Free boot camps are also awarded at these sessions and you may win one. Come join me in getting healthier for 2010!

Pros: -6 Hammer Strength power racks with bumper plates…read more-Friendly staff Cons: -It gets extremely crowded to the point where lines form at the machines, ruining your workout, yet they do not increase their prices to accommodate what the facility can handle. I assume that prices need to be about doubled to get the clientele down to what the facility can handle. -They do not fix or replace machines as needed. They have two smith machines, and one of them sticks to the point where you can't use it for most exercises, so everyone waits in line for the only working smith machine while the other one stays empty. A few of the other machines have the grip coming off which exposes a sticky glue substance which gets on your hands as soon as you start the exercise -They do not bolt the equipment down (including the power racks and benches) so it gets crooked which throws off your lift -They do not provide enough dumbbells for the classes. I do not go to the classes myself, however, when a weight class is about to start, multiple people (around 5-10) will take all of the dumbbells ranging from 5lbs-25lbs from the main gym leaving the gym without those dumbbells for the duration of that class (about an hour)

The owner Josh, is incredibly knowledgeable, has a keen eye for good form and proper technique, and is not afraid to offer corrections, and sometimes spares many a furtive glance in the mirror to fix his hair. ...I mean pilates certainly attracts characters. Which brings me to the deduction of one star. This place is fantastic, but some of the clientele are not. at all. some of these people are so distractingly abhorrent and odious, that it can detract from the work out if you are not locked in. They explained things well and checked on everyone for proper form, leaving me feeling like a had a whole body workout and feeling good. Another instructor spent a great amount of time on the springboard/jump board thing. Like A LOT of time. My knee was pretty irritated and the rest of my body was just along for the ride. I won't do that class again. O8verall, this is a nice place with good equipment and some good trainers. I think I'll stick with Marie and Leslie V. for best results. I wish there was a changing room for members to change clothes before or after or at least a place other than the floor to put your personal items while exercising.

I spent time here on Saturday and Sunday for a tennis tournament, and was pleased with the facility. Activities / Amenities: There are quite a few options to choose from when it comes to working out here. There are two outdoor pools, a kiddy pool, a jacuzzi, an indoor track (something that is more common on the east coast), workout equipment and machines, at least eight tennis courts, etc. I can only speak for the women's locker room, but this alone is quite large. There are about five bathroom stalls, quite a number of individual shower stalls (with doors like bathroom stalls), a lounge area with a television, and a changing room. There is a large wrap-around deck on the main building that allows you to have a view of the pools and parking lot on one side, and the tennis courts on the other. Staff and service: There is a parking lot, with overflow parking available at the church next door (except for Sundays), as well as additional parking on the streets. Upon entering the lobby, there is staff to greet you, have you check in (hand sanitizer, a cup for clean pens, and a cup for used pens available), and send you on your way.

She is friendly, understanding that 2 year-olds dont always follow direction so patient but encourages them to try something new without being pushy. Our daughter enjoys her time every week and looks forward to going. My 7yo daughter was invited to join the xcel team at the bronze level back in May and last week, we just got kicked off the team via EMAIL with no warning and no discussion.  Their email stated that "we have taken the time to evaluate the progress of our athletes and at this time, [my daughter] is not meeting expectations of our bronze level group requirements...We will go ahead and refund any assessment and uniform fees you have paid to date and drop her from the system."   I am beyond flabbergasted by the way they just kicked her off the team without the courtesy of a phone call or even an in person discussion. If they truly cared or was invested in their athletes, I would imagine they would have spoken to us and maybe come up with a plan to help her catch up. Granted, she was hesitant on bars but we had expressed interest in doing extra classes or private lessons on multiple occasions to help her be confident on bars, as she's fine with the other events. Not once did they say she needed it. Now all of a sudden, she's off the team.We theorize she got kicked off because of an interaction they had with my husband. During our last practice, my husband was inquiring about the outside choreographer that they were bringing in for choreo. The coach at the front didn't know and my husband pressed further simply to get more info so we could show our daughter what to expect. She apparently took that as him being aggressive. She could have easily said, "you can email the team coach." If anyone knows my husband, he is the complete opposite of aggressive - he's avoids confrontation at all costs. Later that night is when we got the email.   I just can't believe how they handled the situation. Parents aren't allowed to watch practice and this person they're bringing in isn't part of the gymnastics team/school - As parents, don't we have a right to know who is going to be working/training with our child? Don't we have a right to ask? Is it wrong to make sure our SEVEN YEAR OLD daughter is in safe hands?   I'm sad for my daughter but in a way, glad that this happened early on. I do not want to be associated or part of a team that gets defensive when asked questions and clearly doesn't care about their athletes.
