This gym has an easy to use layout and is EXTREMELY clean which I appreciate. I really appreciate the genuinely friendly vibe I was welcomed with by the gentleman who got me all set up. I look forward to learning a thing or 2 about fitness from this gentleman that looks like he could lift 2 trucks btw lol. Oh and I also love the 100% private locked bathrooms with a shower inside one of them. I honestly couldn't ask for more. I'm 56 and looking forward to building some strength. read more

The gym here is doable, but a lot of the equipment is really outdated. Furthermore they had fans everywhere to try and cool the place down and all the fans were very anemic. In that, on this largest setting there just wasn't any air coming out. Definitely not my go to in the future. read more

Working out is an important part of how I relax and de-stress after a long day at work. However, I was recently informed of a new no-phone policy, which I find both frustrating and unnecessary. In today's world, phones are commonly used during workouts -- whether for music, tracking progress, personal safety, or staying connected. The way this policy was communicated and enforced by staff was not only disruptive but added stress to what should be a positive and personal time. In addition, I believe attention would be better directed toward improving the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility. There have been ongoing issues that deserve more focus, and addressing them would significantly enhance the experience for all members. I hope you'll consider more flexible and balanced policies that reflect the current times and member needs. The general manager (Michelle Lopez) was rude and inconsiderate. I was confronted on two occasions for "excessive noise levels" by Michelle. The first time was by email, and the second time was in person. This should be regarded as two separate incidents since I received the email in October, and I was confronted in person in February. I believe that an attempt should first be made to contact a person OUTSIDE their workout if they are not being blatantly disruptive and to only resort to the actions she took if the person cannot be contacted. I do not think a person who is so inconsiderate of gym etiquette is qualified to be a general manager for a gym. Admittedly, there have been a few occasions where I probably racked weights too loudly; after receiving her email, I tried (within reason) to accommodate this request. However, I try to make a point to not disturb or inconvenience other members. I do not speak to other members during their workout unless spoken to first. I scarcely even make a sound aside from the last couple reps of a very difficult set. The second time Michelle confronted me was immediately after I did a (first time) 405 deadlift. As one can imagine, I was ecstatic after achieving this milestone. Not even minutes after this, Michelle got in my face and rained on my parade. FORCING me to give acknowledgment that I would keep noise levels down just minutes after maximum effort/exertion (anyone who takes progression seriously will know that holding a conversation at this moment is difficult and borderline unpleasant). Not only this, I find it extremely unreasonable that a person should be expected to deadlift 405 SILENTLY. Anecdotally, I have been regularly using this location for about a year now. Michelle was not the manager for this whole time; she only showed up about a month before I started progressing into weightlifting. Sometime during that month, I saw Michelle confront an older man for yelling loudly during sets. I can agree that the amount of noise he was making was too high, but in my opinion, she handled that encounter equally unprofessionally. I find it ironic that Michelle, in pursuit of keeping the other members satisfied, was willing to ruin my workout and directly cause the loss of a member. I suspect that rather than encouraging a positive gym atmosphere, she is only interested in protecting AF yelp ratings (it is the top-rated gym in Livermore). Unfortunately for her, I will be leaving a negative review after this blunder. I've also already started a membership at 24 Hour and will be canceling my membership with AF. The equipment at this location is lacking, and I was already thinking about switching to a different gym before this encounter. It is a small location to be fair, but regardless, I felt as if some critical pieces of equipment were missing; as I become more committed to weightlifting, this is becoming more of a make-or-break for me. No preacher curl machine, lateral raise machine, hack squat, hip adduction, or hip abduction. It's really a shame things had to happen like this because the location is very convenient for me (about 2 minute drive from home), and the gym itself is usually not crowded with equipment that is well maintained. read more

Weird to advertise a 7 day pass on yelp and on the website along with an email that says you're entitled to a 7 day pass only to come to the gym for them to say that it's not an offer they actually do and it's $80 for a week? I've had anytime fitness before years ago and was able to have that honored then. Maybe it's changed since. Gym looked clean and my interaction with the man that helped me was fine, pretty disappointed in the 7 day free trial not being honored since I had left work early to catch them with people there. read more

Thought I'd give this place a try even though I wasn't thrilled with the last time I came. Walked in to inquire about membership and personal training. The girl showed me around and was nice. Told her I wanted to speak with the personal trainer before signing on for a membership as that's the only reason I'd be getting the membership. She said she'd have the trainer call me, and from what I saw, I think she texted the trainer in front of me. Anyways it's now been at least 2 weeks and I still haven't received any text nor call from the trainer. Usually gyms are pushy about getting you to join but this place is on a MISSION to make sure I don't! Anytime Fitness, YOU WON. I won't ever step back into your run down, dirty facility. read more

You can improve either your business model or the skill set of your managers and customer service team. I wasn't a member long and all went well for a while, mostly thanks to my trainer. I was so excited to finally see progress, feel better! Unfortunately, when my trainer left the communication ended and AF did not deliver on their end of the training contract. After my trainer left, no one took steps to connect me to discuss training needs, replacement trainer or what to expect during their transition. Worst, no one responded to my three voice messages over a 3 week period. I also sent an email customer care whose response was untimely and unhelpful. Customer care referred me back to the location, despite the explanation in my email. My guess is customer care is auto-bot response. After disputing charges, I finally got a call back, resulting in further deterioration of the situation. In my opinion, this location lacks ethics, business acumen and conflict resolution skills. This location manager fell short in managing change in the face of turn-over and its effect on the client base. The manger did not take any ownership of the issue, at one point faulting the prior trainer! There was zero demonstration that delivering a positive client experience and reaching mutually beneficial resolution was the goal. If you decide to join this location, I recommend you amend the contract adding specific accountability verbiage for AF. Of course, they will likely claim the contract can't be amended. If after that you opt to join, I encourage you to be darn sure you can cover additional funds you're at risk of being taken for. Run, do not walk from this location. In my view, this location is nothing short of a scam hiding behind a contract. Any place that has the fox guarding the henhouse is a red flag. read more

I would've never signed up if I knew that I was locked in for a year and could not cancel. I was definitely deceived by the general manager named Michelle. Now I'm stuck paying for something I cannot use. I see she has other bad reviews on here as well. I would avoid this place at all cost. ***Also I would not trust their 5 Star reviews. When I signed up they said they would wave the sign-up fee if I left them a review. They made me click a link and post a review on Google before waiving the fee. I used to love this place. I signed up in 2016,, maybe early 2017.. Went regularly until covid shut everything down. Once the place reopened, I was still bombarded with working overtime. in that time the previous owners sold and moved. I've been in a few times off and on but not definitely not as regular as I once was. Each time I've gone in to try and get myself back into a routine, It seemed to me the place just having a more run down feel than it used to. Because I was still working a lot of overtime, ultimately I went to the office and asked the new manager if I could put my account on hold. She gave me a phone number or email she had written down telling me there wasn't anything she could do. It felt off as I know for a fact in the past, they've frozen another account a family had with no issue. Ok, whatever, so customer service is hard when it's face to face. As my child has gotten old she has wanted to start working out at a gym. She's very active playing the sports she can in middle school, and has studies martial arts since she was 7 (13 now). I went in to see if there was a way for her to gain access with me, and was only told she was too young. The manager didn't give any sort of other discription, like "they need to be 16" or whatever. (the Anytime Fitness website, and the contract I had did not specify any age when I signed up). She only said, "nope, to young" and made it seem like I was bothering her by asking such a question. Finally, I've spoken with people and have read from different locations online that they are running a "get a discount if you leave us a 5 star review." I find this to be a very poor way of running a business. If you need untruthful 5 star reviews from people just signing up to make your business look good,, you're doing things wrong. i don't know what exactly is going on at this point, but I've cancelled my membership. As Joey Swoll would say, "you need to do better." I do hope the previous owners are doing well. read more

I decided to cancel this gym a month ago because I don't live in the area they told me it wasn't in there notes that I called in the only notes they had were notes for me not paying when I stated I was waiting for a debit card to come in because my debit card had been in a fraud situation so I had to pay one more month then I finalize a few days ago to cancel my gym membership and they charge me $176 don't ever go to this gym I've brought so many people to this gym over 4-5 people and promised me free months after witch each individual is a month free and they said my membership ship is available till September. This place is full of its self and definitely just enjoy the money end of the stick and screw the customer. If I had the option to click zero stars I would pathetic read more

Caveat emptor!! They are like Hotel California- you can check in anytime you want but just can't leave. Owner will continue to bill you forever so ensure you've a water tight contract and don't fall for all the niceties they extend during the sign up process. read more
